Speed analysis of Matt F

- Mac GTH reads Matt bad, suggests he has no overwhelming thought and that he made him "tingle once"
- Matt asked him to expand, Mac built a somewhat large case against Matt -- contradicts the "tingle once"
- Gives Matt crap for his treatment of Sorsha
- Throws shade at FZ's case against Epi and pushes his Matt case in its stead
- Mac suggests Matt scumslipped when he gave a strong town read on Elo
- Mac tells motel room that he just wanted a reaction from Matt
- Matt rings the alarm bells, gives thread theory about Mac as the SK. Mac is not pleased.
- Mac suggests Matt is likely town because "only townies concoct lunatic theories"
- Matt pushes his SK hard, and when it doesn't stick he works against Mac for his reactions to that theory
- Matt is vocal against Mac until Mac is dead

Matt's votes:

Matt was critical of himself for his numerous votes for townies. I think it's at least a little better that it was three-straight Sorsha votes, suggesting he was in tunnel-mode. He delivered during the Mac lynch. The best look for him I think is that he raised the SK theory against Mac that sent Mac into chaos mode -- and thus poisoned half of the players against Mac. Mac was being cased wrongly as a bad guy and many people correctly read his reaction to that. I don't think this is indicative of Matt being involved in a coordinated bus.

seaside was the third vote for LC, and the second for Diiny. His reason for LC was "survival" (quotations appropriate). So with only two votes at the time (hours before the deadline), seaside puts his vote on LC. Earlier, he had voted rundontwalk, and also said this:

I actually wouldn't be opposed to a seaside lynch if there's time - dude's been acting weird since D1. However, motel room voted for him, and motel room just took a big jump up my suspect list.

I'd definitely be down to try to pull votes onto motel room.

I didn't see anything in Floyd's history that makes me really want him dead. I think the scum slip theories are overblown, and beyond that there's just not much there.

This is correct, my entire argument with him was about this. The fact that he wanted to lynch sorsha because he said it would leave breadcrumbs if she was town. It left nothing but a dead townie and voting history which we would have gotten with any lynch.

I'm not sure how I can further explain it. I think JJJ may be town and made the same mistaken judgement on mac as I did. I'm not confident enough to fight his lynch and can see benefit from him as a lynch contender being removed from further chatter. He has even said the same thing himself. Why is me thinking this so suspicious to you, specifically?

I'm having doubt about this lynch, if JJJ was mafia why would he continue to make these posts? These seem time consuming for a caught mafia, but likely something a civ would do. Thoughts on this?

Read your stuff, Marsh. I think your suspicion is valid at least in that seaside has been very limited in his focus and very short on explanations for his reads. I find myself wondering what the play would be here for a mafia seaside, but I've proven this game that I need to thoroughly review my perspective of that concept anyway.

I don't necessarily believe this is the case, I was pointing out that this is just obviously a possibility and to shed doubt on the JJJ lynch using this only makes me think it's a cheap way of being able to change his vote after sensing that the wagons are going to change.

Mainly, he's throwing out totally unsupported opinions, every so often and saying we should believe them just because.

He was on Rico for days for being bad, and then suddenly N5 he thought Rico was good "despite really wanting you to be scum".

Since D3 he's been saying JJJ, espers, Diiny, and Zebra were bad, for no other reason than that they voted Rico on D3. (He later retracted his suspicion of Zebra upon learning Zebra was a dead civ when he posted this, and he's since back off of also-dead-civ espers.) This post in particular reeks:

He hasn't offered even a modicum of a case against any of them, but is trying like hell to get people to join him in a lynch just because. He even tried to use JJJ's move away from Mac yesterday to get Diiny.

Today, though, he's all about the easy JJJ lynch. He has precisely one point of evidence: he's been going on about JJJ's Mac connection all day, despite the fact that everyone is perfectly clear on it. I think he's trying to lock up the lynch without making it look like he is. Which actually makes me wonder if my vote should be on Floyd after all. If there has been a save attempt in the thread so far, this is the one. It's just subtle enough that people might miss it, and just unsubstantiated enough that he might be able to laugh it off.

motel room, my suspicion of Mac arose because he was willing to lynch civs for no good reason. I've suspected people for less. I'll read you in full by tomorrow, but since you won't be lynched today and I'm short on time it's not worth the bother. As it stands now, I consider you a major suspect. I see you voted me for most of the day - what do you find suspicious about me?
