Thanks, BWT, I'm glad that Rox, Kate, and you are seeing eye to eye with me on this, especially given previous experience. I've had previous experience with timmer being his baddie teammate and I have to agree with your assessment.

Even discarding that completely, his behavior this game gives a good link to Boomslang. I think then, assuming he is lynched and flips Snake Mountain, we really need to see if we can find some Horde members. Speaking of which, you weren't giving me the best fuzzies earlier, so I think you might be a possibility for Horde as well that I didn't mention in my post to Russ. :eye: I think the key to finding a Horde will be a thread re-read. But I'm getting ahead of myself because Day 2 isn't even over yet, I guess, but it's always good to be considering all the options and trying to figure people out. I really think Timmer is a close link to Boomslang and would cripple Snake Mountain if we get him lynched today.

I think no-shows, BWT, DP, Vompatti, DH, Daisy, Orson, etc. might be good places to look tomorrow for Horde. I'd like to do a thread re-read too, but I'm not sure I'll have time soon enough with my CPA exam on Wednesday. Just getting all of my thoughts out there before I commence STUDY WEEKEND/WEEK.

We need to see if any of the other no-shows get replaced as well, still no signs of Ishar or KP. I messaged KP and JJ again to see if they'll come over, hopefully that'll work. Does someone want to message Ishar/aginor as well? I don't know him well at all, so I figured another PAer might feel more comfortable with that. And have you talked to reptar at all besides the one time, SE? I'm not sure if Robert's done any messaging to people either, but I imagine so or that he will soon. I really hope to get more people involved because no-shows are near impossible to read one way or the other. Does anyone in particular have any insight to any of these names, please? As to reads on them?

Okay, NOW I'm gone! No one post anymore, seriously! I need to study!

!BWT: Haha, still a bit hard to read but if you highlight over the blue text it becomes very easy to read. I like your analysis of Timmer, and agree that when Timmer is a civvie he does tend to be more pro-active and less laid-back. I do get real life business, but I just don't buy it here.

Very much reminded me of when I accused him of being bad in Avant 2 because I thought his predecessor was bad and his main response was to basically shrug it off (which is kind of what it feels like he's doing here now).

Mother fucker. I just posted this on the sign ups thread. :haha: Good grief. My brain truly is muddled currently. Anyhoo, here's what I said:

First off, Epi, your host posts are 300% epic and most excellently well-written. The artwork you've found is also top notch. I actually kept up with the first few pages when I wasn't playing just to read your stuff. :D

Ok, so I have now read the entire thread. I would really like to take some time for my thoughts to congeal... I am pretty sure I have an observation or 2, but I'd like to take some time to be certain. Reading in basically one sitting can sometimes make things blur just a bit.

I saw some mentions of my predecessor in the thread. She had 2 posts in the thread, and here they are.
AnnaDanielle wrote:I'm the awesome little sister of Rob. Don't worry I'm nothing like him.... Just kidding I'm a lot like him haha But I'm an 18 year old full time college student, I've played this in person never online so we'll see how it goes:)
AnnaDanielle wrote:Battle Ram! I choose you! :D Let's see how this goes haha
I have no idea why she never posted again, or did drive-by voting, but it is apparent to me from these 2 posts (as short and un-detailed as they are) that she is 100% new to mafia. My guess is she either didn't enjoy the game, realized she had too much RL stuff going on, or just kind of got distracted. I obviously don't know her, or Epi, so I don't know.

But I am here now, and I will give myself some time for my thoughts to simmer and will then be as involved as I can be.

MP, are you trying to make me suspect you? I am not a no-show. I may be a low poster but I am ALWAYS a lower poster at the start. You know this full well.

I am going to make some lunch and go to work. I'll be back tonight.

Well guys, as with yesterday I'm stuck at work and can only post once. (Assume I'm lying about that if you must)

I'll just say this and then you will all have to decide what to do.

I'm not a baddie. I have no teammates. Trying to lynch me will probably waste your time.

Take that as you will.

Oh, and if you vote for me... make sure you aren't first.

It's not too late to find an actual baddie to lynch. Just sayin'.

What do you think about the connection to Boomslang that MP came up with?

I didn't say you were a no-show, but you've been very quiet, and I've asked for your input several times and you haven't brought anything new to the table. I'm just keeping an :eye: on you. I'm not crusading that you're bad.

Rey - I agree with you. The only civ role with secrets is Madame Razz - and her ability says something about conjuring up spells to help friends. I just hate these type of threat posts - 'don't lynch me or you will die' type posts. Always nose twitching to me.

I read Timmer's threat as just that...a threat. It reads like he's saying, "yeah, Im a baddie, but you better not lynch me bad shit will happen."

I don't see any civvie ability that shows this kind of power. There's one secret in the civvie roles. There is one secret in the Snake Mountain crew. There are two secrets in the Horde crew. Then, there are two secrets in the indy roles. Then, there is the possibility of a prize, but I don't really see that as being a possibility at this point.

The threat post does not sit well with me at all. It does not sound like Timmer is a civvie. I think I will re-read Timmer as there is a lot of suspicion on him even before his recent comments. Seems like a good place to look.

Next interesting bit:
Snow Dog wrote:Annadanielle I know from another forum, but not well. It is hardly possible she likes me and wishes for me to have the shield for that reason.
So she is either being coerced somehow into that vote or she is making it look like she wants to protect me because we are on the same team. This makes her suspect. Also He- Mans lkevelling the vote for lynching is suspect. Was he trying to save a fellow baddie?
This feels like maybe they thought the "vote for me" thing up in btsc, realized it seemed odd, and now here is the backpedal.

A blend-in vote (which he even states).

I don't know your game, Snow Dog, but your posts through the night have pinged me.
To me, this just feels very much like trying to throw Snow Dog under the bus to deflect suspicion from himself. Coupled with his He-Man vote (whom, incidentally, I am thinking is civvie), as well as his utter lack of defense and vague threat, and Timmer is looking less civvie by the second. I suspect he could very well be indy, actually, given that the indies have secrets, and that may be what Timmer is alluding to.

Im not a fan of the threat post and as kate (iirc) said, timmers earlier post "reeked" of a baddie ( fwiw i like the term baddie/civvie ) who was trying to deflect brfore being accused.
that said, snow dog is playing sorta noob civvie imo, asking questions and at least trying to participate....as we know posting is often a way to be picked out for something someone thought you meant when you meant no such thing...otherwiswe there would be no game....same for low posters...not posting is just as suspish as posting, sometimes.
MP is giving me civvie vibes, but i have my eye out for him anyways as he's trixsy...(and I don't like RUSH, j/k) (not really) ;p
tbh this is a very hard game to grasp right now w/ so many variables and exp players, i must remain cautious.

Again, I apologize for the tone of my earlier posts. I'm not bad, but I felt myself painted into a corner and decided to lash out. TBH, most of what I said re: threats etc. was purely made up. I'm simply overstretched and haven't been able to commit to this game to the extent it deserves.

I stand by my comments on Snow Dog, he's as bad as it gets, his posts "reek" of it to borrow someone's phrase.

XD I want to say something so bad but I'll hold my tongue.. wait.. no I wont!

I did like a lot of the good ideas etc Timmer had promoted in the thread early on but TBH the posts re: yesterday are kind of convincing. Plus, must I say it, he didn't vote Stridor XD

I never said it after the lynch result, but, I told you so?

But in all seriousness, I think Timmer or FH are good places to look today.

Also, I find it weird that Snow Dog is pinged by He-Man's vote to tie the lynch. Obviously, this is because I know that I am good, and that Boomslang was bad, and this makes He-Man very likely not on team Snake Mountain. I know this doesn't mean squat to anyone who doesn't trust me, but that's just my two cents.

It simply occured to me you may be both bad. And I found his vote suspect. But if you are civvie, and I admit you most likely are, then obviously what I read into He-Mans actions was wrong. It could be he tied it because he thought you were a civvie...or even knows it.

I'm kinda struggling here to find a suspect. A admit I might be wrong about him.

Thing is the vocal ppl are getting it in the neck while the silent ones watch on or ignore the game. They get a free pass it seems. But it's early days I guess. I really don't know who to vote .

Bear in mind my newness to this but these were my thoughts.

1. Both Boomslang could have been baddies on different teams.

2. He - man could be on the same baddie team as blindfaeth

3. This is why he caused the tie, not aware that boomslang was also a baddie.

Does any of that make any sense to anyone? In theory I mean.

I'm still not getting warm fuzzies from Timmer and I personally get the feeling that he had the freakout of a cornered baddie yesterday, then tried to take it back since he realized that it just made most people more suspicious of him.

As for whether or not Snow Dog is his teammate (if Timmer is bad) or simply bad and not Timmer's teammate--I have been kind of going back and forth on him. All of his questions about how mafia works have very much seemed like a new player who has no BTSC partners who he can ask these questions to (civvie), but Snow Dog also seems smart and it could be a big WIFOM ploy to seem more confused to make us think he's working alone this game. I honestly am not sure. I did feel a bit pinged by this:

Now again, this could all be innocent on Snow Dog's part and simply that he wants to prove he's not teammates with Timmer by simply voting for him. But I have seen baddies in the past vote early for a teammate so that they can later say, "but look! I voted for them and early!"

However, all of that speculation hinges on Timmer being bad, so I don't want to put the cart before the horse.

I rather think Vompatti is his team mate. Voting for me in an immediate countervote. Without any explanation either.

If I vote for timmer RIGHT NOW, would that remove your suspicions?
Yes..

Snow Dog's vote for Timmer does nothing for me as far as making him seem civvie. I'm not sure why his early vote would make He-Man feel any better, if it really does. I could see him saying that trying to get Snow Dog to go ahead and throw a vote out there for Timmer after what Timmer said yesterday about voting first. Anyway, Timmer is clearly the leading candidate for this lynch...even before his lash out yesterday I would say he was the leading candidate. So Snow Dog's vote for Timmer could very easily be a vote for a team mate. I'm not saying that it definitely is, but Snow Dog's vote does not in any way make me think that they are definitely not team mates. And, like you FH, I could see all the questions that Snow Dog has been asking as a ploy to gain noob civvie cred. I will continue to watch Snow Dog for sure.

You guys look into this far more deeply than I do. I voted for timmer because everyone seemed to think he was a baddie. I simply don't know who else could be. Still learning the ropes but quickly learning that maybe the less you post the better.

If you are a civvie, Snow Dog, then you must not take offense to people's suspicion of you. When you've played as many games as some of us have, you have seen almost everything. :D I just would not be surprised if you were on a team with a couple of experienced players that are leading you. I would also not be surprised to find out that you really are all alone. It's just too early to be sure.

Either way, I love when new players jump right into the game like you have.

Sorry for the now triple post, but I just thought of something else right after I hit submit. LOL

I'm reminded of instertnamehere's first game on RM. He was in a similar situation. It was his first game, but he was saying some stranger things than you have. He took a lot of heat because people thought he had team mates helping him out. He just seemed a little too familiar with the game for a total noob. We lynched him and he came back civv. Pretty much the same thing happened to him in his second game as well. So, I would not be surprised at all if you are a civ or a baddie.
