I'm leaning toward the one school that hasn't responded yet. I feel confident I'll get in, but as a formality they have to wait for my GRE scores. I'm taking that on wednesday.

I just published a novel I wrote! Through the Lichgate is a book about a teenage christian necromancer in high school. I'm pretty sure none of those labels should go together, but I think I made it work!

As of this week, the book is available on Amazon in digital/paperback. (Amazon will link the two on the same page sometime next week)

I'm pretty excited about it! And also terrified. We'll see how it goes.

Once I get some personal copies to sell, I could see about getting it directly to you.

I don't have my own Amazon hard copies yet, but I'm getting some for special circumstances and in-person marketing.

i'll try, sometimes amazon does, sometimes it doesn't. i could probably ship it to someone in the states and ask them to mail it to me too. or just order a digital copy, but i prefer physical copies.

Not yet. The program is very open and allows for lots of free study and specialization. I tend to gravitate toward questions about religion and mythology, so I imagine i’ll study that in some capacity.

MP has been pusuing this PhD for as long as I’ve known him. This is the end of an era.

Haha, I don't know about that. I don't even care if my students call me Dr. / Prof. or by my first name. I just am proud of what the "Dr." represents.

I feel kinda silly posting about book stuff again so soon, but I've released another book! A novella, barely longer than a short story, but I'm still very proud of it. It's called Monster under My Bed, and it's about a daycare worker who wrangles imaginary monsters to protect children from fears.

The ebook is available free here (And also on Amazon, but they haven't matched this price yet). Smashwords is a new site to me, and I'm still getting used to it, but I've already gotten like 10 downloads of this story.

oh yes, you must go see...something in NYC. Metropolitan Museum, MOMA, The Museum of Natural History, Ellis Island - one of those things depending on whether the kids are with you or not (Museum of Natural History would be my pick with kids I think). Congrats on winning this!
