i switched to townreading ted because i think the post i quoted was really towny from the emotional variety kind of towny - him calling me a hypocrite


my townshield of thunal was me being confident in my townread on day 1

day 2 changed because dya was night killed over other people + from game theory's pov i feel like we need to know thunal's flip

im putting more priority in solving the game based off of my understanding of proper gameplay theory over my personal reads

Silencer role is dead, it was a scum role. But Kyle announced his thing on Day 1, before cat was yeeted. I only just now found out about Kyle's charge-up punch, but just how foregone was the conclusion that cat was going down at the time he announced?

Maybe scum-Kyle realized he couldn't hide behind a silencing role in order to charge his ability, and chose to announce it instead when he knew cat was going down.

Then the theorized Universal Backup used the silence on Sloonei... this would have been a surprise to the scum team, or else they could have used that as an excuse why Kyle was silent on Day 2, and he could have kept it secret.

All in all, why isn't Kyle dead if he's a villager claiming a powerful role?

Honestly I don't think its worth reading into it for me

because if it is a big mafia team then there could be good arguments for both trying to push and trying to protect cat as being scum

and I think the nuances of that could be confused for the wrong alignment especially in such a big game where even I wouldn't be surprised if at least one town had some bad interaction

at the very least I hope to find something independently scummy and not just "Oh they had X interaction with person with Y flip, therefore they must be evil/scum/mafia!"

Well, falcon fits the mold for both.

I still think it's worth looking into. Yes we could be wrong and hit townies, but we run that risk regardless of our strategy.


Fwiw, in Shadow Corridors, we did desperately try to protect JackofHearts from going down, with no success. But you are right. Despite my late vote for the counterwagon (NIK), I was never really sussed for it. I had a good reason to vote NIK, but I had no defense for Jack aside from "he's just town guys, don't bake him".
