I actually did this last night, more or less. Sabie had at least one location in common with evey player after excluding Bass/Bubbles/Equivocate/Floyd/MM.

I think you misunderstand that I'm taking people who voted for the other trains as a baseline for this, and working under the assumption that a mafia team would have little motivation to vote together in location polls in order to narrow that pool down.

Dunno maybe I'm off base but I don't think it is as bad a course of action as you're making it out to be.
