Uh yeah it was his whole thing.

Idk I just reread the portion of his iso from that part of the game and I can see it as teammate compatible. Before he was in danger of being lynched, he could bus pout and look good for it, and he wanted to keep up that appearance when it was between them. I guess it would be risky if she's the horcrux but idk, especially in their other/slightly earlier interactions I can definitely see it (he was very hesitant to include her in his POE at first).
