That's a serious loss of contribution in one fell swoop. We're all going to have to pick up the slack in their absences. If you're town, you have the ability to show that by drowning the remaining baddies in overwhelming effort. The more action this thread sees, the more difficult we make their lives in the late game. Even if you don't trust me, this is fundamental mafia and I assure you this is the time to play your hardest. I will do my part -- if those guys that just died were town, they deserve to win with the town. The poured themselves into this game.

I think I am going to try to clean slate everyone and fully reassess with all known information in hand. There aren't that many names left and I don't think any reads are clear cut right now.

Gotta do my laundry for the first time in two weeks first though. :P

I still support a motel room lynch, but The Men With Matching Starting Consonants (MM and JJJ) are right that the more we talk, the better off we'll be. I'll read the players I haven't today and try to keep an open mind about everyone.

Everyone needs to keep this in mind:
Assuming that 2 will die every cycle from here on out, we have 2 cycles of not killing scum until lylo, if there are 3 scum. 3 phases till lylo, if there are 2.

I have no damning evidence. I'm just damn adamant about it. I feel like I might be able to actually do a Marsh case, during which I'll point out the things I feel make him the most suspicious.

Choutas is more of a gut-read thing.

Also, just saying, your call-to-action about, 'Hey guys let's all participate so much that we drown scum in a deluge of posts' could also be interpreted as, 'Let's make it super challenging for everybody in this late phase of the game to commit to the time and effort of finding the remaining scum.' Just a thought.

Hey guys!!! I've been out celebrating my fellow PhD/friend's becoming a PhD candidate (rather than student) by passing his comprehensive exam and presenting his second year paper drinking, so I'm out for the Night... Why would two players die every cycle? How do you know that? Scum only kill every other night.

Also, no one has answered me this entire game about why some people are so sure that the SK has only killed townies. Why the [censored]ing [censored] are some people so certain of this? Answer me dammit. What are the odds that...

Perhaps alarming if it turns out accurate, perhaps just a guy preparing for the worst case scenario. It didn't trigger my scumdar. I don't tend to operate in the sirengif arena though.

When I joined The Syndicate I set myself to invisible. I think it's out of the spirit of the game to attack people just because they are visible online. Ideally everyone would be invisible in my opinion.

Nah, but really, everyone has given me reason to think they're anti-town. Maybe Russti the least so, but that's based on a gut read I had about six, seven years ago.

Alright, stupid laundry is finished. I have a little time to do some work in this game before I head to bed. I'm going to make my best effort to place everyone in the game at a totally clean slate (acknowledging that biases from developed perspectives are difficult to shed) and reassess each player in the game with all known information in mind. It's likely that these posts will be quite large because I am going to be scanning each ISO with a fine-toothed comb. I'll include a conclusion at the end of each which will function as a "TL;DR" section. I'll start from the bottom alphabetically.

I don't demand that everyone read every word I produce in this exercise, but I would encourage everyone to at least pay attention to the conclusions. I want to field real discussion about this content -- town's only chance is to play with a sense of urgency and to stay motivated. I don't endorse a torrential downpouring of posts that will make the thread impossible to keep up with; I endorse everyone doing their homework based on the wealth of information already available to us in this thread.

We've all been playing this game for nearly a month. Wouldn't it be nice to win it? Even if you haven't put literally 1,000 posts into this game like I have, I know you've all put something into it. If you're on my side, I want your hard work to pay off. I really appreciate that everyone has really put so much into the game and I hope we can bring it home.

If you have the time and motivation, you could try to compile voting records beyond just final votes. If I have one clear analytic weakness, it's figuring out how to judge voting records -- and that's when I focus on just final votes. I definitely want to hear your thoughts on everyone's votes.

Aapje had this excellent graph method he utilized in Recruitment. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to recreate it.

I wouldn't laugh at people, that's mean. I think being a townie is harder than being scum, especially in complex setups like this one. Besides, I'm trying to pour my heart and soul into this game in a way that is visible to all of you. Winning as a townie is the best feeling Mafia has to offer in my opinion, and I want to get us there. :(

Frankly I am probably setting an impossible standard for the next time I am a bad guy, but whatever I'll deal with that when the time comes.

Coutas, there's no bad accusations there, nor would I want someone to break the rules. Kind of insulted that you think I would do that. Breaking game rules is something I wouldn't do. They aren't but you clearly haven't responded to them. You can't accuse me of not responding to your proddings when you clearly have ignored other players. OK let's end that.
You might have a point for the timing of my reveal but if you think I considered Rico as one of my suspects at the time. It yield results to me, it helped Rico get townier points from me for the response. As to why the responses look townie to me it's because a scum wouldn't respond to my post. If a scum came out and said "I think you were targeted" it would be fessing up. He/She would be still and ignore my post. A townie is more likely to claim his towniest read as the possible victim.

To be honest out of all the guys my money is on Matt F. Epignosis was a primary SK candidate but got smoked by the SK oh the irony. Matt F started getting in my scum radar yesterday when I was revisiting older posts and he did become an orange read(he was yellow).
