WOW. Several out of the gate votes, that feels so strange to me. Is this normal now?
Well on games with changeable votes, I see no problem with votes right out the gate. When I first started here, all games seemed to be one vote final per day.

Geez, relax a minute here, lol. I read your question at work and wanted to ISO Illy to see what you were talking about. That is why I didn't answer you sooner. The answer is, what post are you referring to? Most of her posts were fluff. I don't mean that disrespectfully, I've been giving it a pass for now because I assume she is just getting reacclimated to the game. But you clearly have one post in mind so could you clarify your question please?
The post where she predicted how BWT would flip.

This is true, and upsetting, and I kind of want to vote for him too, but I can't see a baddie intentionally adopting it as a strategy. Do you think his failure to catch up is indicative of alignment, or is this just a protest vote to try to get him to pay attention?
I think it could be a baddie tactic, trying to lie low in the early going while falling back on the "I was just trying to catch up" preemptive defense. If so, though, Matt is leaning really heavily on it. Still, I feel comfortable leaving my vote there for now.

For a moment I thought you had been targeted by Lady Rose MacClare's insanifying skill then I read your next post.

Have any of ye suspected anyone to have been insanified? Maybe Lady Rose was Silverwolf, or Lady Rose targeted Ika but that didn't matter since he got silenced.

I am at a loss to understand what is happening this game. I am not confident in a DF lynch but I am not confident he is civ either. But these "random" votes that he has received both today and yesterday are bizarre. That said, everyone involved in this whole conversation (both sides) are easy early mislynches,i, not sure I would put money on any of them being bad at the moment.

DF, have you said who you suspect at the moment?

Linki @Polo: if someone is insanified it will be absolutely clear they have been, trust me.

Of all the people garnering votes at the moment Matt is the one that seems the most likely to be bad. For the moment my vote is going there, but I'm not certain I'll leave it there yet. Plus, I really don't know that I think DF is bad and I'm historically crap at reading him so I have no desire to mislynches him early yet again.

Then I have three scenarios in my mind:

1) SIlverwolf was Lady Rose MacClare;
2) Lady Rose MacClare targeted ika but ika got silenced;
3) Lady Rose MacClare is someone else who did not use the Insanify ability. Why is that?
3.1) Nobody was insanified because Lady Rose didn't want to use her power (booo);
3.2) Lady Rose MacClare is one of those people who have yet to catch up, e.g. Bubbles or Matt.

EBWOP, because there's two more scenarios that I hadn't thought of previously:

Lady Rose MacClare was talked out of acting on Night 1 because Lady Mary Crawley used her power on Rose;
Lady Rose MacClare had her action redirected to Silverwolf.

James Kent seems like the same kind of role as well:

"James flirts with his target each night, making him or her forget to do anything at night. " Sounds like a role block.

Okay with Bubbles and Sig voting DF for shallow reasons(and myself too, to a degree I will admit) Im thinking about backing off of him. If Matt has not responded to his accusers by the time I leave for a party later this afternoon my vote will go there. I think Ika is the one who is silenced, otherwise he would have posted by now.

I had hoped that the votes on Matt were merely attempts to get his attention, and not serious attempts to kill him, but as the day nears an end, I'm not so sure.

Come on guys, do you really think a baddie Matt with teammates would just ignore the thread and let himself be lynched? I feel certain he will flip civ is this bandwagon doesn't change direction.

As for me, I'm joining the DFaraday group, since I find him more suspicious than Matt by a long shot.

I wouldn't say I strongly suspect Matt, I didn't like any of the current wagons. But when I looked at the list and tried to decide who I would be more comfortable voting for, there was no one. :shrug: I'm not saving DF, I can't read DF for shit and I have contributed to his mislynch a lot in the last year, it's making me gun shy and I don't see the case for him as being all that strong in the first place. Scotty, where are you on this idea today?

I agree with Llama, I doubt Matt is the baddie we are looking for. I am looking over Scotty's posts right now to see if I can shore up my buddying suspicion, but I'm not seeing much there. Either he's playing a very careful game, or he's not bad. Either way, obviously a Scotty lynch isn't in the cards today, so I'll switch to DFaraday.

Actually this pings me a little about Scotty. I don't think he'd defend a Mafia teammate so blatantly, but if DF is Civ then this 'logic' is what I'd expect a baddie do do to get some cred for defending a civ.

The problem I have with this thinking is that the opposite scenario applies equally: "Come on guys, do you really think a civilian Matt without teammates would just ignore the thread and let himself be lynched?"

I can't see an absentee Matt in either alignment. It's unlike him in general, which leads me to suspect he's merely busy and his availability suffers.

I'm at work so let me keep my explanation quick. Matt is low engagement right now, but he has not been replaced. I think a person who believes they might not have time is more likely to hang in there longer if they are a civ, because they don't have teammates they know they are letting down. Civs don't know who their teammates are so they are less likely to feel the pressure of helping their team. That was a very fast replacement and she didn't say anything about getting a replacement in her post that I recall. Most civs announce they are going to ask for one.

Epignosis. Your leading theory heading into the night was that I was bad and was LC's baddie teammate. After the night you state that I'm off the table, which I imagine is due to that post. You're still voting for LC, which you state has nothing to do with that post. Do you still believe I'm LC's teammate or do you now believe me to be civ? I now realize I might have missed this in my catch up as my daughter was talking to me and I do believe I was looking at her as I was scrolling.

To answer your question. I am currently on the fence with LC. I'm not sure if he's up to no good or I'm taking some of his statements personally. For instance the new one I quoted. Sometimes it's complicated playing with a husband. I'm not ruling out I will vote for today. Somehow he's gotten under my skin early this game, where as I usually ignore him in early game.
