I am unoriginal and have to say the present, modern technology makes life a lot easier than it used to be.
If technology is so great, why not say something like the year 3009? Technology will probably be even better then.

1) Who are your top five favorite musical artists?

1) I'll have to think about that one.
2) No :( I played alto sax in middle school but quit.
3) After hosting HP Mafia, I think I may like the hosting aspect more now. Playing it always leaves with "what if the game was like this" kind of ideas, so it is a good way to make them real.
4) I'm not a very outdoorsy person, but I used to enjoy things like walking/biking. I need to start doing those things again.
5) I can only speak English :(

2) Are you/did you go to college? Where?
3) Who are your top five favorite musical artists? (just asking again :p )
4) What are your favorite anime?
5) What happens to you after you die?
6) If you were handed $10,000 (no strings attached), what is the first thing you'd do?
7) What is your favorite alcoholic beverage, if you have one?
8) Do you garden?
9) What smiley would you add to this site, given the ability?
10) Do you prefer heavy sun, heavy wind, heavy rain, heavy snow, or heavy fog?

3) Still not srure :P
4) My favorite anime are probably Yoshitoshi ABe's "trilogy": Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, and Haibane Renmei. I recommend them all if you haven't seen any, Haibane Renmei is my favoritest <3
5) I don't know, really, but I assume nothing. :P
6) At this very moment I would buy beer and pizza.
7) I've not tried nearly enough to have a favorite, hand me the $10,000 and I'll try very hard to change that ;)
8) I usually don't, but sometimes we plant vegetables and such in our backyard. I had a blue spruce but we don't own the land it's on anymore :(
9) All the ones from PA because I miss them.
10) Heavy Sun I guess, I'm tired of rainy/windy/snowy weather, and fog usually means it's at least a bit chilly.

Eloh, how did you get into baking? Are you self-taught or did you take classes or maybe a family member learnt ya up?

My book club has read some "philosophy" about baking being used as a positive coping mechanism or creative outlet, just like others might use painting or cardio. Do you find baking is a cathartic release for you or does it become more of a chore?

Is the term "Baker's Dozen" still relevant in today's times?

A few year ago my brother turned 16 and my mom and I planned a surprise party for him. It was a red carpet themed party and I wanted to make him a special cake. I used a box mix and tubs if Pillsbury frosting to make the thing, but I was so proud of myself :) Before that I never did much baking. I've always been on the creative side though and for my first time I thought I did pretty okay. I fell in love with cake decorating. I never took any formal classes, but I watched a lot of youtube tutorials for making and rolling out fondant, making and using modeling chocolate, etc.

Cake decorating is great for me. I have always been into creative things such as scrapbooking and painting but I am a minimalist and hate clutter. Cake decorating is a way for me to be creative all the time, but then my projects are eaten and gone :). I don't have a house full of cakes like I would have a house full of canvases if I had taken up painting :p.

Cake decorating is often therapeutic. It can also become tedious at times depending on the design and it becomes chaotic when I have taken on more than I should.

I am not too sure if the term "baker's dozen" is still relevant in bakeries or donut shops, but it isn't relevant for Little Miss Cakes.

Thanks for the questions Mongoose!

Well, I don't think his international fame has much to do with what it is like to be married to him. However, when we first began dating, I thought it would be amazing to be married to someone who plays the guitar. I thought I would be serenaded all the time :) I quickly found out (and this was before marriage) that I would mostly be listening to riffs and shreds instead.

I used to need a solid eight hours to function. Now I am okay as long as I get 6 hours and it doesn't have to be straight through. Simon woke in the middle of the night until he was 4. Abigail thankfully has slept through the night since she was 7 months old. Ephraim still crawls into bed with me at around 3pm and wakes every hour and a half until time to wake up. He is still a big fan of the boobies during that time :p. I look forward to the nights when all my kids sleep in their own beds all night long but I find I still love nighttime snuggles with my littlest one.

And I will share one more I really liked.

@ A Person - Decorating a cake is more difficult/time consuming than it looks I think. The reason I think this is because many of my potential customers are surprised that the price is usually in the $50-$100 range. :D

Eloh, would you ever consider making your own cake instructional videos?

Do you ever use the word "caking" as a verb?

Now some non-cake questions. What kind of music do you like? Do you play any instruments? You seem like you would have a good singing voice. Confirm/deny?

What was your favorite subject in school?

What kind of outdoorsy things do you like to do?

Do you have any catchphrase(s)?

What's your favorite flower?

I don't see a need to. There are so many instructional videos out there. Maybe if I was getting paid to do it :) haha

Do you ever use the word "caking" as a verb?

No, but I have used the word "cakery" as I don't run a full bakery.

Now some non-cake questions. What kind of music do you like? Do you play any instruments? You seem like you would have a good singing voice. Confirm/deny?

I like mainly folk (Nora Jones is my favorite), late 90's pop and rock. I do NOT like Rush or Yes :p

What was your favorite subject in school?

Honestly, interior design :) I know...I am not as scholarly as many of you on this site. But I took three years of interior design in HS. Me and a few other girls even painted a mural in the preschool classroom at our HS and the mural is still there today (about 15 years later). If you are wondering why there was a preschool classroom in our HS, I'll explain. We had a preschool at our HS. It was open to the public and the Early Childhood Education students played a part in teaching the preschoolers. (I was in that class as well, haha). Actually, that reminds me of another class I took in HS that I may have enjoyed better than Interior Design. It was a class where the students were assigned to work in one of the offices at the school. I worked in the attendance office. It was my senior year and after collecting all the daily attendance sheets I would often check myself out of school and go home early :D. I promise I was not as much of a slacker as I sound. I did well enough in school to earn 75% bright futures. Mongoose, you may know what that is.

What kind of outdoorsy things do you like to do?

I love the beach/pool. I love to swim. Hiking is fun. Camping WAS fun until I got too old to sleep comfortably on the ground.

Do you have any catchphrase(s)?

"Just give me two seconds" "Oh Lordy" "boo"

What's your favorite flower?

Orchid

Do you drink coffee? How do you have it if you do?

Do you prefer J. K. Rowling's or J. R. R. Tolkien's writings?

Do you prefer hot summers or cold winters?

What is your favorite hairstyle on a woman's head?

Do you know all of the US presidents? In chronological order?

What is Rush or Yes?

What is your favorite large city to visit?

Do you like being interrogated?

Do you like apples or bananas better?

Do you watch solar eclipses when they happen?

Would you rather be buried 6 feet under or cremated?

Zombies? Are they real?

Do you consider yourself a religious person of any affiliation?

Would you believe me if I told you that I'd had a couple drinks?

What's your favorite movie with Dick Van Dyke?

Can you whistle? Snap your fingers? Fart with your armpit? Cup your hands together and blow, and make a soothing noise come out?

I'm tired. :offtobed:
