leetic can u post a readsllist
I will probably do so at some time tomorrow. A lot of my process involves interacting with other people, something I really couldn't do a whole lot of D1, and since it's Christmas I was very busy for the last couple of days.

I have no victories on this site this year. Or on any site, for that matter, towns in 2023 just suck.
classic fm
and game will be dead for a bit longer, i'm not even that sober rn
and i agree that the ability that was used on you was anti-town, because you are one of the most loquacious and talkative players, and i don't really think that abbie used it on you
and i agree with mac that wolves are unlikely to be posting because everyone feels similarly towny (or scummy) and no actual "events" have happened so to speak. and it's generally an uneventful game where mac probably get's NKed and we go into d2 with two town dead and relatively no information. this is made worse by rondo making no comprehensible posts and you not speaking. especially because of the amount of activity by serhal/sig
tldr i have a very low hit rate when going into low posting lhf, i'm quite good at going deepwolf hunting, so idk it's a particularly uncomfortable gamestate for me that i didn't notice until like i realized it was page 15 and i'm close to a top poster
i also think that you're probably town and my top sr rn is scotty/pyxxy and scotty is someone i don't read well
idk i'm lost and i wanna mason with you actually

Would wolf!Scotty really silence himself after saying he is the kind of player who would do so?
If that's the case, then his dedication to the ruse, by still posting at first, has fully tricked me.
Yeah, given that he still posted, he doesn't seem to have realized he was afflicted. Either way, I don't vote silenced/post restricted players out of principle in the absence of hard mechanical evidence

Why is sig getting votes?
poe?
why should he not be?
Your answers here are not the same as your answers post-elimination. If your intention was to goad sig into participating, you could have told falcon then. Your answer displays an attitude of willingness to eliminate sig.

Falcon suspected leetic, Porscha, Rondo, and one could say, Mac most of all. So his death is probably either because of that, or to try and make us look at those players. How do you tell the difference?
Long Con wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 1:05 pm
So, we got sig's role description late, I assume it was an oversight.
But we're going with janitored nightkills, in the classic LP style?
Yep oversight bc splints was unsure.
Also yep bc og shit rocks!
Or not, apparently
Still, I'm glad I wasn't hit with another post restriction
I wonder who will show up with a delightful affliction?
Nobody I targeted the dead cause I'm dumb
I don't know. It would make sense that the same person who hit me with the post restriction silenced Scotty, as there was no silencing D1
Nope

Let's say the relatively consensus poe here is something like pyxxy/abigail/scotty. I personally don't have Scotty as mafia but let's say we arrive at a position where he's the third most sussed slot for arguments sake (which he might be).
If we as a town are content to say it's unlikely that there are 0 mafia in this group, which I am due to how many townreads I have outside of it.
We limit the amount of dialogue speculating outside of it and focus our energy on figuring out who to chop from within it, we serve a few purposes.
1. The town miselim is given enough opportunity to project themselves to avoid a shrug chop.
2. The Mafia are forced to pick a side in a way that can result in them bussing, or outing themselves choosing not to bus.
3. The town outside of it reveal themselves via solid teamwork and progressing the game state along a town agenda.
4. The Mafia get boxed out.
5. It prevents a lot of town on town posturing/ego warfare.
I try to force this paradigm in every town game I play and it's why my town winrate over the past couple of years is not just high but so so many of the wins are rapid.
In the games in which I am proven to have 0 wolves in the POE I end up operating within, mafia usually make the mistake of keeping me alive and I'm capable of being able to reevaluate eventually once it's discovered that the d1 poe was pure.
The caveat is the town wintate and the "rapidness" directly correlates with how hard the town try as a group and how committed they are to simply being townie. The more bad townplay. Low efforting. Tinfoiling. Open wolfing as town, that town exhibit, the longer the wolves survive and closer to parity they end up.
So it's important for poe clamped town to keep their neck above the water and keep trying to be town. It's also important that the day 1 poe gets resolved quickly so town PR play is very important ie. vigs need to shoot d1 cws and investigatives need to get green checks on possible miselims etc.
When towns come together in this manner town generally just absolutely steamrolls almost any mafia team except pure "we lost the game at rand" level mafia teams.
Where the hell did you get that this was "consensus" PoE, and why the hell did you vote outside that?

Anyway, falcon kill does look bad for Mac. Number one, because falcon suspected Mac, and number two because Mac himself wasn't nightkilled ("The Manti Rule")
