The really shitty thing is I felt that Juliet's lynch was absolute bullshit. Simple phrasing change was a cardinal sin but everything that everyone else did, including but not limited to:
Mr's vote
SVS's removedness
Mp's stunt
Enrique's supatown
Elo's vote
Epi's Suicidalness
While i personally don't think any of these were vote worthy (Beside maybe Elo's vote), the fact that the above were acknowledge and deemed insignificant but juliet wasn't is bothering me.
Also, SVS, start playing better already, like real talk

.
Pardon me? I am trying to make a more cautious approach than the usual suicide civvie game i play, charging out & being blunt. It gets me killed early most of the time, I get NKed early, or get mislynched. Most of the civvie wins i have racked up are due to some hosts allowing the dead to win with their team.
How about you call out the 8 or 9 people who have had zero on topic content, OK? With so many people not posting, who is to say that the top 8 posters are not all good? I have seen several things that lead me to trust most of them to varying extents. Look at this group if you are looking to call people out for not being real:
DFaraday 5
Snow Dog 5
Bass_the_Clever 4
nijuukyugou 4
Nikki908 4
thellama73 4
Black Rock 2
Boogs 2
Elohcin 2
reywaS 2
Ambray 1
Gotrees 1
Long Con 1
Mongoose 1
Llama, who is not even playing, has more posts than 7 players (not counting Ambray <3 ). I don't recall much on topic from any one on this list.

Your hosts are still waiting on contest entries! We have received a grand total of zero so far. Of course, that also tells us none of you actually read the night post that well. And there could be dire consequences for not doing so in the future.

zeek, I have to admit it's refreshing to be playing the game with someone who truly takes the spirit of the game to levels it should be taken.
I hope the Valeyard is not a role. I think it's wise to entertain the possibility, BUT given there are only 3 hidden roles and we don't have any reason to believe there is a Seemer role (a role that appears as something else when lynched), if god forbid we lynch the Doctor, then I would think it's incredibly likely that person is the Doctor. Can the Valeyard regenerate?
Also, I look forward to your elaboration regarding Enrique.
Welcome, Chris!

I not sure on the Valeyard's regeneration, but I'll plump for no. From what I remember of his story he is trying to kill the Doctor to be free of his influence (as they are both the same person essentially) and steal his regenerations.
I'm not sure I can elaborate on enrique

But if Dom actually does have information about the poll and votes an option that is not winning, wouldn't that mean that it doesn't matter which option gets the most votes?
I don't believe Dom has any information, I just think he changed his mind, because that is something he would do. I'm changing my vote to the first one though, for no good reason except to see what happens.

The situations are so totally different it's not even funny. Why are you trying to say they are?
Okay, well I may have been "riding the fence" but I already said I was trying to get people talking because that's how you catch baddies. What have you done? You still don't even say if you think ANYONE is bad, you're just "oh, we have time". So don't criticize me for my methods please. I'll play my way and you can play yours.
fingersplints wrote:MovingPictures07 wrote:zeek wrote:Re: MP's ruse.
If every player had agreed with him, I'd be getting lynched and there would be nothing he could have done to change that. It's irresponsible play if he's a townie because I did nothing to deserve a target on my back.
Zeek, my case was totally bogus, which you obviously pointed out. AND I clearly said MULTIPLE TIMES that I wasn't crusading you as bad nor did I even really find you bad. There was no way that was going to blow up to anything.
The minute anyone seriously believed to me I was going to turn it onto them for agreeing with a bullshit case.
It's not irresponsible play. You tell me this: How many people think you're bad right now? In fact, I probably helped your reputation more than anyone else in this thread right now. Am I not right?
But, people get lynched for nothing Day 1 all the time. I don't think there is anyway you could have predicted the thread would swing this way. I think I am more surprised at your choice of target then anything. If it was nothing and not something you were seriously trying to point out, why not pick on someone not new to the site and returning to mafia after years of not playing? I don't know. Just seems a bit of a weird way to welcome someone.
True, I had absolutely no way of knowing how the thread would take it, but I already explained my thought process.
WTF I was not "picking on" anyone, and you act like I gave it a TON of thought. I wasn't looking for a way to screw with someone. I just read zeek's post, I was REALLY excited to start discussion, and then came up with the gambit thinking it would be an effective way to gauge people's reactions and get people talking, which was way better than everyone just posting on Day 1 "Well I have no idea who to vote for because nothing significant has happened so I'm just going to randomize!!" That tells us nothing almost all of the time.
Go ahead and disagree with my playstyle. People disagree with me ALL the time. I don't care. But it does not make me bad.
I'm not here to hold everyone's hand and welcome them all to a game of mafia. This is mafia. It's not personal. I see something worth discussing, I discuss it. I don't hold back. I'm sick of people holding back all the time because that's how baddies win; I've seen it so many times. Civvies just fly through the game too afraid to make accusations or start discussion because they're afraid of being wrong. I don't play that way, ever, and I never will. Other people can if they want; I'm not telling anyone else how to play, but I play my way.
I play this way all the time. So anyone insinuating that just because I am PLAYING THE GAME that it makes me bad and because they don't understand my perspective, well, sorry, I am not a wordsmith, I am an accountant. I can't explain things super well all the time. I come up with crazy theories and gambits because I'm paranoid as fuck and I love playing the game. If you don't understand me or you disagree with my methods, fine, but I'm sick of being eyeballed just because I'm intense and I did something to get people talking.
How else are we supposed to uncover baddie behavior?
I'm sorry if my tone comes across defensive but I'm sick of people insinuating my playstyle is "hilarious" or "irresponsible" just because they think differently than I do. Honestly it comes across as insulting. If you disagree with me, just say it, don't try to lynch me because you think I'm nuts or whatever.
Catching up this is where I had left off I wanted to respond to MP now then get on to reading.
MP - I did mean to hurt your feeling or upset you in anyway. I do think what you and Enrique did to zeek was the same in that you both punced on something insignifigant and tried to turn it into something it never was. You both tried to start suspicion rolling on him for an easy lynch vote reasoning for Day 1. I am sorry your posts you made do not read as a gambit nor did it seem like you just wanted discussion they seemed like you genuinely were suspicious of him enough to state you would vote for him day 1. Does that seem like who just wanted discussion?
No I had not at this point came out and called anyone bad. it was only Day 1. I do not have the baddies magically lined up on a list to post. Your "gambit" took up a lot of discussion day 0 and for a lot of day 1. Hard to focus on anyone but you, Enrique and zeek at that time.
I am playing my way while you play yours I just happened to disagree with you about all this.

To be fair, we don't know that what happened on the show corresponds to the options in the game. Sometimes when I have polls I make what seems like a baddie option beneficial to civvies and vice versa; if they're just aligned with what you'd expect it would be boring.
Anyway, I voted Azure because a blue planet sounds lovely.
