I don't think Esooa and Nanook are mafia.

For me the mafia solve is down to [Made, Mac] and [Martin, Alison]. Does anyone have a reason why this is the wrong approach?

I don't think Martin/Alison are together. In part because I think Martin is town. In part because of other reasons

I wouldn't say it has to be, no. But those pairs make more sense to me off-hand than any other pairs without doing a comprehensive interactions chart. I'm also just plain short on mafia suspects by POE.

Allcrab would be the fifth wild card name in if I needed one. I think he seems town at face value similar to Alison and Martin. I just don't see quite the same clear partner prospect for him. He could vaguely fit with one of the other four.

I don't think it's the most likely scenario, and I probably don't even consider that pair at all if not for it being Day 5 and POE being constricted. If Alison's mafia it just means she bussed her arse off. I doubt it at face value, but it also wouldn't be the first time I've seen such a thing.

These are the other two names I would wedge in there.

But LoMo’s claim is doubly verified: on Night 1 he watched Jay and got results that allcrab can corroborate. On Night 2 he blocked me and I was indeed roleblocked.

We have already had two roleblockers flip, one for each alignment. So I believe LoMo’s JOAT claim. I won’t say that a mafia joat is completely impossible in a closed role madness game, but I don’t think it’s the most likely thing ever.

His block and protection targets are both questionable.

Garden Gnome is also a wild card that could break things open in the event she flips mafia. I don't really expect that, but we'll see what happens.

Sloonei's points for lost monkey are fair. And I personally don't view a mafia JOAT as something particularly unlikely. I'd consider that ordinary, even considering the flips so far. The only question I would have is with the protection ability -- not sure we've seen a night kill ability from anyone outside mafia. Desperados are day shots, and the poisoner had a healer instead.

I still don't think LoMo's joat claim or his night actions should be clearing him. I didn't feel like he responded very well to the gamestate when it was at two wolves down and I haven't seen him do anything particularly townie since. Yes he has Nutella spew going for him, but Nutella spew is a meme and she knows it and she invariably would seek to correct/take advantage of it by distancing more than usual. Particularly in this game.

I have been essentially a low effort version of myself since day 2. Most of the time I was playing I was laying in bed late at night phone posting. I had been more interested in playing the role of Devil's Advocate and shitlord than doing anything meaningful. These are fair things to suspect me over and I am conscious that I literally was doing that. At no point did I think it would bite me in the bum though because until today I thought I was safely above the high water line of who is scummier. Given that is seemingly not the case I will attempt to figure out the last wolves for you nerds by sifting through dead wolf ISOs like a rabid beagle. But first I must take a piss.

Fwiw TSP is confirmed not mafia. He can be the poisoner and is firming up as the poisoner tbh. The poisoner POE is like Alison, TSP and Allcrab. I actually think it's TSP to about the 90th percentile.
