I think there are sites where you can just put reverse tags around whatever you're saying and it does that for you; shouldn't be a reason not to contribute!

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 2]
Sig's endorsement pumps Spy up to a top scumread for me and makes Sig look a hell of a lot better in my eyes (could just be hunting a different team but the way he's going about it feels pretty genuine). I'll probably end up voting there for today, but don't want to vote so early in the day.

Oh yay lets have some fun with SD1 (I knew her first so she gets to be 1 SnowDog can be SD2)Spacedaisy wrote:.ssa eht ni niap a si siht ,esahp siht em fo tuo hcum oot tcepxe t'noD .heM .si eh ekil kool ot ti stnaw eh fi ro yas ot evah I tahw dna em fo diarfa si eh esuaceb si ti fi ediced t'nac I .ylisae tsop ot em tnaw ton did oreN ylraelc lleW

So like if you can say certain things post below after what I say.

Sig is the best player in the game and you'll vote for him when he runs for president at least eight times.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 2]
There is no rush to vote this early, and I'd be happy to hear the opinions of other people who have played with Glorf before, however, I've been playing mafia with him for much longer then anyone else here, but they have about the same amount of exposure to his scum game.Nachomamma8 wrote:Sig's endorsement pumps Spy up to a top scumread for me and makes Sig look a hell of a lot better in my eyes (could just be hunting a different team but the way he's going about it feels pretty genuine). I agree with sig's assessment of sprityo. At this point that's all I've really got to contribute.
I have Christmas shopping and baking and wrapping presents to do yet today, I have to cook dinner for the family tomorrow and Sunday I'll be going out of state for more Christmas stuff with my boyfriends family. Just an FYI

I'd like to engage with Golden's reads list tonight when I get back to my small snatches of computer time, hopefully give something similar of my own. I don't really understand Long Con's sentiment of not having any suspicions; at this point I feel like I have far too many when I'm a person who typically relies on townreads and the few I do have (especially Golden, Sig) seem like they're more hopeful than anything else.

It's now Christmas Eve and I have a lot to do, so I probably won't be around a lot this phase. I don't know how I'll be able to catch up and make an informed decision. I'll do my best.
Nice to see the Monkey Island fire from nacho though.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 2]
Glorf's sarcasm and bad mood at the end of d1 is so un-Glorf it lit a red alarm in my head. I didn't even know he was capable of being sarcastic. I'm itching to vote for him just for that, since I've never seen bad Glorf before and that might be what it looks like.
But the idea of doing a meta bad read on someone whose bad meta I don't know gives me pause. That tends to backfire. Also I don't feel confortable with lynching spirit two days in a row.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 2]
Here is a counter-argument: Real Life.sig wrote:I would say yes there is a correlation.Nachomamma8 wrote:So Glorf replacing out is closely correlated with him being a baddie?sig wrote:I think it could mean Sprityo is mafia, in fact I'd be willing to lynch on it. Glorf was alreayd a suspect of mine, for not giving reads not talking much and a general gut read. Two things to know about Glorf is he hates lying, even in a game he won't do it and he hates being mafia. His refusal to answer the good/bad question was a tip off, he wouldn't lie about it, he'd just not say it either way. I'm thinking his BTSC mates told him that. He went with it, but hated it and asked to be replaced. Since even if he was bad, he wouldn't want to let his team down. So he replaced out since he couldn't be a mafia member and he did this soon enough that most people wouldn't consider it.Metalmarsh89 wrote:What do you make of it?sig wrote:hm Glorf replaced out, that is interesting.
:
He attempted to do the same thing in Star wars mafia when he was bad as well.
So I'm voting there and I'll be voting there now, since I am 80% sure Sprityo 2.0/Glorf are mafia and that is why Glorf acted the way he did day 1 and was replaced.
I'm feeling good about the SDs and Golden. I won't be lynching Jack today since he is a civ lean, or Epi/LC since I need time to read them.
I never saw the case on MM so he won't get my vote either.
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... ?f=2&t=769
Take a look at Star Wars mafia, Glorfs first game here, he subbed out after awhile as mafia there as well. Though I will admit that was in part due to being mafia and being completely overwhelmed, while I don't think i've ever seen a civ Glorf sub out, not even when he is being harassed and bothered.
Finally I'd say im being replaced just assured me of my read, I'd say I can gut read some players rather well, Glorf being one of them and he was pinging me from his first post. Furthermore when he wouldn't give me reads, something he does often regardless of alignment, but much more as mafia.
We don't know about it, it's impossible to quantify its effects, and it has no relation to game cards. And it's what drives most replacements.

Ok I currently suspect those:
LC - main suspect right now. Seems like he's jus going allow with the flow, agreeing with other peop,e and staying away from the light.
Quin - said a couple scummy stuff here and there. But I'm afraid of doing an OMGUS vot so might pass on this.
Spirit - see post above
INH - still on "can't put my finger on" territory. I can't remember anything sus' he said, but can't remember anything civ-like either.
Snow Dog - ok I take back the day 0 stuff, because "just joking" is an option I wasn't considering at the time. Problem is that "just joking" seems to be his default mode since then, and it's d2 already. I don't have a lot of patience for it.
Chaos Marmot - He seems like he is blending. I mean, he is always suspicious in a way but... gut feeling.
I also have no opinion on Epi right now and I find that fact itself to be dangerous.

Yeah I realize my explanations are shit but I have no patience to do ISOs to explain it better and I've come to realize my ISOs in this site have terrible accuracy. So I'll just stick to pointing out pingy stuff as I go and vote according to what I feel.

Votes aren't changeable, so what I wanted was your attention and for you to discuss the cases people have made against you (I'd still like that). I don't know if this is snark or if you actually find that post suspicious.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:I think that was the fourth time you said that in D1. 1- I said I would miss day 1. You chose to assume I was either lying or being mistaken about the end of the phase. I wasn't.
2- Yes, I'm posting with the knowledge the day is over and I can't change your d1 vote. Doesn't matter. I'm looking for suspicious stuff to justify a future vote.

You always have a reason to promote a better option, baddies don't want to be on the winning wagon. Maybe you were afraid my wagon would catch on so you wanted someone else to win.

1. You said you were going to bed. I interpreted your post as though you thought you'd be asleep when the day ended because you thought it ended earlier than it did. I didn't know what to assume when you weren't around the next day.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:@Quin

2. It does matter, because the point I'm making is entirely relevant to your case against me. A point which you've somehow either misinterpreted or are actively trying to butcher. If you want to keep calling that post 'suspicious stuff', you're gonna need to find a new way to justify that.
linki: Better logic is that I'm a civilian who voted for you and then supported sprityo as an alternative afterwards. I'd have no motivation behind trying to avoid the winning wagons, because there's a second baddie team that I'd need to get rid of. And from a purely meta standpoint, I don't sit on the sidelines, and I sure as hell don't reiterate my intention and reasons to vote for you over and over again just to throw a single post out there as an alternative and hope it sticks.

So not to be a stickler, but I really would like to make it further than day 2 in this game. Like I know that Glorf did a bad job earlier, but that's no reason to not be actively looking for connections or even other people. What about the people who voted? Does anyone have anything we can take away from the lynch day 1? (In car so I'm not gonna check right now)

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 2]
My case is that you used language which allows you to state suspicion on someone without commiting to it. The fact day 1 was already done for you doesn't undermine that, because the game has more than one day. Long term planning exists. What exactly was going over your mind if you were bad is something I won't bother to speculate on, because that's too difficult for me to determine. I'm just pointing out that your posts could be part of a bad agenda.

I see the suspicion from Glorf coming from two major points of interest:sprityo wrote:So not to be a stickler, but I really would like to make it further than day 2 in this game. Like I know that Glorf did a bad job earlier, but that's no reason to not be actively looking for connections or even other people. What about the people who voted? Does anyone have anything we can take away from the lynch day 1? (In car so I'm not gonna check right now)
1) His reference to Mad Max about not lying about his alignment
2) His subbing out being interpreted as a mafia move
Neither of which mean anything to me which way or another.

As I said; there's no motivation for me to be non-committal in my scum-hunting when there's two scum teams. I'd need to eliminate them as a priority, because they'd have two opportunities to kill me versus the townie's one. Long-term planning indeed.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:My case is that you used language which allows you to state suspicion on someone without commiting to it.

Not yet.Nachomamma8 wrote:Do you have a Long Con read yet?Golden wrote:This is a link for OUR backwards maker (courtesy of Long Con).
It's now Christmas Eve and I have a lot to do, so I probably won't be around a lot this phase. I don't know how I'll be able to catch up and make an informed decision. I'll do my best.
Nice to see the Monkey Island fire from nacho though.

I do not think glorf did a bad job. I also don't think anything should be read into his subbing out.sprityo wrote:So not to be a stickler, but I really would like to make it further than day 2 in this game.
