I think you and he are compatible, and that he's just blatantly trying to save you. I guess that's a far worse look for him, but I do think it incriminates you slightly. Specifically, I don't think his scum-hunting outside from saving you has been very good. As far as I can tell, he's managed to convince Lime Coke to vote for me because "I won wolf of the year".

I've townread him correctly in both Deck Mafia games we were in together but I feel like that was just luck.

nanook is hard to read, and doesn't have obvious tells. i've wolfed with him in a hydra so i know what kinda easy shots he goes for as scum. i've also been town against him where all he did was pocket me to embarrassing lengths.

i think he's very unlike his scum self and is town here.

So here's the thing. marmot is cute, we can all agree on that. Such a cute little critter that he often skates by with his charming demeanor, and excellent knack at deflecting attention in all the right places. This is what scum marmot looks like. Town marmot is also fantastic, directing attention in all the right places, at the scummies, away from the townies. he's probably the best mafia player in the world, and a run in the Championship Tourney would reveal that pretty quickly. And he's cute, he's a cute mafia player.

What I'm seeing here is that particular cuteness that seeks to direct a very specific kind of attention onto dunya. One that calls her out, but also gives her the chance to talk herself beyond the thing he called her out for. It's banter, but of the assisting variety. I see right through it though. Marmot may be acute mafia player, but he's exactly that, just a little under 90°. If he was a little more obtuse, his behavior would be a little less suspect, but the way things stand, something just isn't right, a few degrees shy of right, if you will.

I expressed some concerns earlier in the day about dunya. I still don't really see the problem. I might not have been forthcoming at the time of my vote, but I feel I've been pretty forthcoming in general this game.
