I'm sorry about that. I'll try to try to get better caught up and involved.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 11:36 amI mean, what is a mafia game without some drama? =p

My difficulty with the game right now is that I see no real way of reading Mac, Sorsha or LC. I cry evertim.

red= this question tells me what I'm doing. I don't like that considering I don't think it's a fair assumption to make.Long Con wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 1:56 am Tony, why are you going specifically after the Fearsome Four? Do you agree with Epi that there's likely a baddie among them?
I don't really want to go after them. They all came together to lynch a baddie Day 1, in hot-potato fashion. That's good enough for me to want to look elsewhere for the next lynch.
orange= this question answers the previous question. Why ask both questions?
green= this is telling me why my answer to the questions are insufficient.
The questions are what's throwing me off here. Word choice analysis of the second half throws me off, particularly the "really" and the "for me", but word choice analysis is notably bad so no guarantees. Overall, I just don't like it.

Never mind that lynching inactives is never entirely bad and the fact we are winning the game means we have some spare days to test things like that.

There was a role very similar to this in the first Game of Champions. insertnamehere had it. He was an independent who increased in ability every time someone said his name.

My issue is more nuanced than that. It has more to do with the way people can't count and then make a big to do about their collective mathematical errors.

Looking good for Sloonei and Sig until now.
btw Sig i saw your answer I thought you played in the last year, my first game was in january 2019 at MU and I don't know you :-)
I like this ping for my slot. Looks good. But why wasn't the other inactive pinged too? just asking
Is this a possible reaction for a team mate?
I'd say no because this next post it's obvious antitown and contradicts Sig

Re: The Polka Heist [DAY 2]
we have any definitions of numerical values. What we often think of as a decade, yes, is only 9 years because there was no year zero. A cultural decade, yes, lasts 9 years. And pedantry on the subject only serves to entrench those opinions further.Epignosis wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 1:59 amNo.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 1:55 am If I say that the Lions have a better record than the Pats this decade will Epi come yell at me?

Let’s get this thing moving.
Epi: have you finished reading?
Sloonei: do you think a reasonable POE exists at this stage?
Dys: ditto Sloonei
Timmer: who do you think is scum?
Dom: Why is Mac voting for you?
LC: why shouldn’t I vote for you?
Wilgy: why can I not remember anything you’ve said this game?
DDL: convince me to vote for Mac
Mac: say hi
Sig: give me a narrative about who’s bad and why it makes sense.
Epi: have you finished reading?
Sloonei: do you think a reasonable POE exists at this stage?
Dys: ditto Sloonei

Re: The Polka Heist [DAY 2]
Sig and timmer would be the first people I’d remove from my POE. Dizzy wouldn’t be far behind. After that I’d probably me most inclined to remove Epi. I don’t think you or LC are scum at this point, but that’s not a strong enough feeling to remove you from the list.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 3:52 pm Let’s get this thing moving.

So I guess my POE is you, LC, wilgy, DDL, Mac, Dom, Sorsha, and Michelle. For two bad spots (I assume) that’s a big list.
I’ll note that I liked Michelle’s entry into the game well enough. I also feel mildly good about wilgy. Add you and LC to the list of feel-goodies and I’m looking mostly at DDL, Dom, Mac, and Sorsha. If that’s the POE, we’re in good shape. But that list is not locked in place.

Re: The Polka Heist [DAY 2]
I am confused why Sloonei thinks DDL is scum. I disagree witht his read.
Why is Tony voting Wilgy? I thought he had points against LC, that LC shrugged at.
Why is Dom voting LC? Is it because of said points?
I get next to no impression from Mac, Dom and LC. No reason not to lynch them.
I still think Tony is scum. At least he's trying to move things along.
You know what I really want. A link or reference to Tony's last scum game. Tony or anyone?
Where did Wilgy go?
And Sig, you can create that narrative yourself or read in the thread for those who already exists.
Timmer, Epi, who should we lynch?
I'm ok with Michelle.

Re: The Polka Heist [DAY 2]
Reading over Tony's previous scum games, it's hard for me to see a lot of difference from how I remember his town play. Except maybe volume. I think he posts more as town? Or that's what I remember. But this game most players have low volume. He didn't shy away from acting with his teammates. Other than that I didn't really get much out of it but oh well.
Question: Does scum generally put in more effort than town on this site? Cause Tony said that in one of those games.

Re: The Polka Heist [DAY 2]
I wouldn’t say there’s a site-wide meta for effort levels by alignment. It varies from game to game and player to player, but in general I think it’s even. Tony also comes from another site and hasn’t played a ton of games here yet.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 6:31 pm Reading over Tony's previous scum games, it's hard for me to see a lot of difference from how I remember his town play.
