What is a walrus?

It's a music submission kinda thing

I'll be honest. I've never really questioned the Walrus.

Music is submitted. Music is discussed. Music is listened to in a group.

I just like chilling with my friends and listening to what they listen to when I can and never thought about it beyond that. Like why is it called a Walrus?

Why wouldn't it count as criteria? The mafia has more info than we do. I would be shocked if they weren't allowed to talk about which submission is whose in BTSC. It wouldn't make sense from a game set up point of view.

I think, like with any vote in mafia, it makes sense to discuss it, share opinions of whose song is whose, and analyze votes after the fact.

Anything else I can't see as being best for the town.

A 7 is a song I'd listen to again, or even look up more music by the artist, possibly listen to a full album, but I am very unlikely to spend any money on the artist

A 6 I'll listen to fully, but likely will never hear again

5 & under I typically won't even finish

but see like

I don't like you hedging here

your world view is Nutella scum, Long Con town. own it

hedging like this just feels like what you're arguing Nutella is doing, setting up a Long Con mischop, except in your case it's after a Nutella mischop

I do agree that Nutella and Long Con seem weirdly committed to being the two wagons of the day, I would even interpret it in your world view, if I didn't think that you're helping create TvT wagons

I also never said "wolves are sitting back" and that whole bit, I explicitly said that you feel like you're setting up TvT wagons...and look, here are you hedging on TvT wagons
from an outside POV i can understand why my treatment of long con would look hedgy and how this could fit within the framework of a wolf who wants to set up multiple miseliminations

in reality though i just dont find LC very towny or have any good reasons to call him town outside of my pre-flip association read of nutella being a wolf, which means that i'm not going to project confidence that i don't have

you're telling me to "own it" but it sounds more to me like you are telling me to lie about what i actually think lol

But he’s definitely doing his best to distract us from discussing anything else. And, yeah, I’m also part of doing this. But it’s bad strategy to continue to goad him (other than possible off topic). Even if he is civ (which I very much doubt), we can engage with his ideas after the battle, should he be a contender (and I hope he is).

porscha's sentiment that she had secret reasons to scumread robyn that she didn't feel like posting because she knew they would be ignored and invalidated felt like a real perspective to me - i think that wolves usually like their pushes to come off as more clean and logical, and so her push being based on something secret and her digging her heels in when she got pressured made it feel like a real pov
