I have been trying to decide between canuck, bea, MM, MP or possibly rabbit. I want to wait on making a decision on rabbit until Golden can talk normally. MM could very well be bad but I'm not quite ready to narrow him down to Dr. Doom. bea I'd like to wait until i have formed an opinion of rabbit. Canuck I want to see a little more from before I vote for her.

MP has had a lot to say though less than in previous games. What really pinged me today was when he caught up he imo threatened anyone who voted as Golden advised. Is that what a civ would do? I don't think so. I also liked the points that BF brought up in his analysis. It is time to vote, I am going with MP.

Voting from work bathroom, I don't agree with people who think rabbit is being genuine. I think he's being overly dramatic in his posts in order to sway people. Also I trust MM, don't understand the votes for him.

Only thing I have seen from MP is his vote which pinged me. I don't think Rabbit is bad and I am doubtful on MM. Other than that I don't really think the other vote getters are bad either. I really wanted to Vote Canuck but I feel like I shouldn't spread my vote. Gah. I'm feeling frustrated right now.

You know what, this is absolutely unfair. Now I'll be lynched as a civilian AGAIN after I was just lynched in Film Directors for shitty reasons. I guess at least here I can understand why people think what they do, but I don't understand why people think that I would act like that.

Guess I'm voting rabbit to try to save myself, then catching up on posts

That is NOT TRUE. I'm sorry if I seem mad but I really am.

Where did I threaten anyone?

People keep saying "Golden's case on MP looks good" "Yeah, I agree with Golden" or just "MP looks bad" WITHOUT ELABORATING. I have asked people multiple times for elaborating and actually to think for themselves, but apparently that's too much to ask. I thought I asked nicely too. But I am frustrated as hell and I think I have every right to be.

I just feel I have to post this again to vent my frustration:
MovingPictures07 wrote::sigh:

What do you want me to say, guys?

- I get suspected if I talk a lot (especially when it is deemed to not have "enough content" even though I typically have thoughts about players more than most anyone else at any given time)
- I get suspected if I don't talk enough (a ridiculously high bar I've raised too high for myself to ever be anything other than top poster or top few posters)
- I get suspected if I throw out a lot of suspects
- I get suspected if I don't throw out many suspects
- I get suspected if I ask other players what their thoughts are
- I get suspected if people feel like I am not taking their thoughts into account
- I get suspected if I play and defend myself aggressively
- I get suspected if I play and defend myself passively
- I get suspected if I agree with other players too much
- I get suspected if I don't agree with other players enough, and people don't agree with my logic or what I say or my suspects
- I get suspected if people think I'm explaining or overclarifying my thoughts too much because people misunderstand me
- I get suspected if people think I'm not explaining my thoughts enough because people misunderstand me
- I get suspected if I actually ever vote a baddie because of my reputation for throwing teammates under the bus
- I get suspected if I vote civilians consistently because surely with such a track record then I must be bad

These are all reasons I've been suspected consistently the past year in games, with some popping up more often than others. I'm sure there are even reasons I failed to list. I have not gone one game in the past year (and probably the past two) without getting serious suspicion. I am NOT exaggerating.

If any game cements in my mind that I should develop a new less talkative or less helpful playstyle, it's this game. Sad but true. Anyone who posts a lot inevitably attracts suspicion, and I recognize that and always have, but it's insane to think about the last year's worth of games and how much suspicion I come under every time, and usually right off the bat. I know it's a mafia game and that plenty of others attract suspicion as well, but it truly boggles my mind when I think about the fact that every game I essentially have a 100% chance of attracting attention to myself, and not just a vote or two, but serious cases and sometimes for days and days from many players, if I'm even lucky enough to last that long.

The only reason people have even been so lucky nabbing me as bad in the past (with a few exceptions where someone actually caught me doing something suspicious, usually Daisy, Epig, or BWT; don't get me wrong, I'll acknowledge those) is because I had such a long string of games where I was bad over and over and over again, and so people started picking up behaviors that I do and thereafter began thinking that they are an indication of my baddie game (like talking a lot and "not saying much", overexplaining my own viewpoints when people misinterpret them, etc.), but they're really just aspects of my personality that don't go away regardless of alignment. I would think that since I have played with so many of you so many times that at least some people would recognize this by now, but I suppose that's naive and unfair of me to expect in a game so characterized by complexities of circumstance, emotion, rationality, and deception.

That said, to be suspected so heavily so often is just disappointing. I'm not asking for sympathy, nor am I even mad or trying to whine with this or anything; it just is what it is. The only emotion I am only expressing disappointment.

And I want people to finally recognize the incredible standards that I always get held up to, and the inconsistencies I get suspected with. Some of it, hell even most of it probably, may be my own fault.

But even if it is, if I'm going to get continuously eyeballed game after game by practically everyone, and lynched on D1 or D2 about half the time I play anymore, then maybe it's about time I finally forced myself to play the game differently. Not just because it is disheartening, but also because whichever team (civilians or baddies) is depending on me loses an asset just because I never can seem to play a game anymore without attracting too much suspicion.

Well, good luck, civilians. Truly sorry I couldn't be of any more help than what little I did manage to accomplish with my role. I just have not been able to find much certainty in suspecting anyone this game quite yet. Pay close attention to how people handled the suspicion against me and I only hope that will help too.

Thanks for hosting, Mongoose.
Make up your mind, people.

Why did I not get a SINGLE ANSWER to my question? That Golden's case assumes that I would defend a teammate, when I'm clearly not known for doing that? Why do people keep ignoring me like I'm some ghost?

I'm SUPER suspicious of Sophie, Canuck, and juliets's votes on me. All opportunistic.

I at least get BF and rabbit's votes, since they've explained their suspicion of me.

This is the threat i was talking about. You're going to vote for anyone who "bandwagons" onto Goldens thoughts. So if we agree with Golden's suspects, any of them, and vote for them you will vote for us. Or do you mean you'll vote for the person who makes it a bandwagon...not only is it a threat it doesn't even really make sense. A senseless threat. And no, regardless of what you think I am not bad.
MovingPictures07 wrote:I think I'm actually going to vote for someone who's bandwagoning onto Golden's thoughts because I think that's the easiest way for a real teammate of Aces to hide today. Especially if that person has other reasons for me to be suspicious of them as an Aces teammate possibility.

I didn't intend that as a threat in the slightest; I don't understand how you viewed it that way.

What I was saying is that there have been those that I think have been buddying up to Golden, without really saying why they agree, or responding to my factual rebuttals of his case, and so I thought one of those players could be bad, since it's an easy way to hide behind someone else's thoughts without actually expounding on them, even when asked multiple times by the person being accused.

And I'm absolutely convinced you're bad now, juliets, I can't believe you of all people railroaded me like that, without much of any warning, because I "threatened" people, which I didn't at all. I was giving you the BOTD, but the way you acted towards me this lynch even though we both were in almost the exact same seat re: connection to Aces makes me positive that you aren't civilian or you would have considered how I felt.

Day 2: Do Rabbits Like Apples Too?
Image
The gumshoes explored Maroon Cartoons.

In one of the back rooms they found a filing cabinet filled with pitches. One was about a bored but brilliant teenager named Lightbulb who finds a notebook, and using it, can kill anyone whose name he writes. He becomes acquainted with a god of death named Ree-Yuck, who eats apples a lot but throws them up, hence his name. Lightbulb engages in a cat-and-mouse scenario with his nemesis, a great detective named “L” (placeholder). “L” sits on his feet because it helps him think, or so everyone believes, when in fact he suffers from atrocious hemorrhoids due in part to his unhealthy diet of macaroons, cake, and sugar.

“What a stupid ass cartoon.”

“Nobody will ever watch something like this.”

“It needs work.”

“Work? It needs to be written down in the death notebook so that it dies a quick and painless death.”

“A notebook like this?”

Everyone gasped. Wedged in the files was a thin black notebook.

“We have to destroy it. Right now.”

Golden stopped them.

“Hey, wait a minute. That’s a guestbook, not a death notebook! What are you guys, crazy? I’ll just write my name in here like this, and then everyone will know who I am! See?”

I swear on my mafia reputation I had nothing to do with this. My frustration is completely genuine and I am a civilian. If you don't believe me, just look at the way that lynch went down. I'm convinced.

And I don't know if you're asking me, but I'm not really surprised Golden was civilian. I didn't have him pegged as 100% civilian, but after the way he lynched Aces, he would have to be the ballsiest team sacrificer ever, even worse than me or Llama.
