I am less thrilled with the Epi wagon. It seems lazy or worse to get through this thick pile of posts from Day 0 to now and arrive there. I also think "hiding behind a gimmick/roleplay" is a weak accusation that comes from baddies more often ghan the average accusation.

I've been criticized for this opinion before but I don't think lynching people who are purposely being useless is a terrible choice, even if they flip town.

Epi is way more town than INH. For instance, he is currently arguing against the strongest bandwagon competing against his own. Why would scum Epignosis be calling us dinguses for lynching somebody that's not him right now?

I moved my vote to INH because the drive-bys seem to be coming in now.

To your credit, you didn't go there. You didn't provide a "reasonable perspective" either; you left your answer at its most basic: "I thought your accusation was b/s and it was a ping". It's not a thorough explanation, but it's also not one that looks made up. I can on some level appreciate the take-it-or-leave-it frankness.

I don't much like the epi votes. Except maybe trice's one.

I also really don't like scotty basically being like 'told you guys'. Calling your shot on someone being civilian is the easiest thing to do in the world since a) most people are and b) all baddies have an even higher percentage shot of being right (in this case 15/16); but

c) bragging about it afterwards is the equivalent of discrediting a load of people, even when at least half of them are town, and d) not only does it discredit, but it also puts the focus squarely on 'who voted for a civilian to die' instead of 'who is bad' which are not necessarily the same thing.

I'll be all for looking to see if any inh votes are uninspired. But when I last looked, there were four and all of them felt fair and well explained in the thread to me.

RIP, INH. Honestly, I hadn't spent much time looking at you or your case. I apologize for not further substantiating my thoughts on MM, but JJJ's explanation is pretty much my train of thought. Using a weak, time-based rationale that would've made the most sense for a timmer vote to vote me. I'll have to look at MM more closely in the next day phase.

As I've said before, Epi's gimmick renders him pretty much impossible to read at this point. I lean town for the sheer reason that he's not actively attempting to mislead the town's efforts in thread. Scotty seems authentically annoyed, and I like him avoiding the INH vote. I also like his challenges to BWT. Stronger town read than on Epi. And INH is, unfortunately, irrelevant at this point.

OK, so I may not get back before deadline, so I may as well put my thoughts on scotty out there.

I do not believe scotty didn't look at his PM. It's possible he just said he didn't for playful fun, but his tone is not one of playful fun. But Scotty takes his team duty seriously and wouldn't not check in my opinion.

Thats fine. You don't have to believe me, and I would be naive to think you would.i made reads without any context and it was quite freeing. I do take my team duty seriously, but I also don't mean getting civ cred if I call them out early. As soon as Day 1 started, I did look at my role, which, again, you don't have to believe. I didn't check in Psych (not mad max like I thought- thanks for clarifying, JJJ- until somewhere in day 2. This time I figured I wanted to be involved more in the case that I was bad and was pissing off my teammates. Still not bad.

Add to that, I have a tonal issue with scotty. Trice just described him as 'arrogant', but no, this is not normal scotty. The scotty I'm used to is a town force who maintains a certain level of 'tipping his hat' to everyone else. Arrogance is not something I associate with him in the slightest.

What's more, from my perspective, Scotty has a habit of getting himself into early trouble when bad. I don't agree with whoever said he is a 'bullseye', because I don't think scotty gets lynched early very often. But I can recall twice he got himself into early trouble - red vs blue and Lost Again season 1. In each of these games my perception is that he was playing a pretty decent game (and trying to replicate town scotty) but got himself caught up in contradictions.

i also tend to get myself in trouble early when good. I'd be remiss to think I could get through a day 1 without a vote towards me. I think the past few times I got in trouble when bad were circumstantial and not a direct correlation. Just unlucky. My "getting caught up in contradictions" as you say, is just an unfortunate side effect of either posting while commuting or between scenes in my show. I'm actually feeling depressed right now in the sense that I've got a lot of personal things I'm deadline with but still committing to 4 games at once. So sue me if I contradict myself sometimes. If that's suspicious by itself, then lynch me. I've got enough on my plate as is.

The Scotty I see at the start of this game is not a scotty I've seen before. But Scotty has no need to mix up a town game that serves him well. On the other hand, he seems to get caught early as a baddie. My impression is that this 'distant' scotty (my read of what Trice is seeing as slightly arrogant, I think) is his attempt to mix up his baddie game and not get caught.

Having said all of that about scotty, my vote for inh was more than a 'no u'. I do apologise for my mini meltdown, but to me there is only so many times that you can criticise everyone else for 'not creating meaningful content' while doing nothing yourself.

Jay pointed out that inh 'described mafia' when criticising what others were doing. I agree.

He does things like call out the sig votes as having 'no thread basis' despite criticising the things people are trying to do to establish a thread basis for their votes.

I see it being very plausible that inh is bad and someone... probably not sig... is taking heat for what inh considers to be bullsuit reasons.

I'm genuinely torn between which to vote for. Scotty is generally the one of these two I find easiest to read long term, and I do feel as though he has lacked opportunity to contribute so far. On the other hand, he seems like the much more likely place to get some sort of vague consensus, which means my vote has a higher chance of relevance.

On the other hand, I find inh potentially much more insidious as I do not really know if he ever creates content, and so I don't know what I would hang him on later if he is bad. But he is much less likely to be lynched.

So, with that dilemma in mind....

I'm going to leave my vote on inh, because I have more conviction about him, and if I happen to get some time in the morning I'll revisit it then.

I think deep down you voted for INH and not me because you know you're throwing mud at me for unsubstantiated reasons and even you don't believe it. INH was still a nothing case, and such is why day 1 lynches are generally hogwash. This little diatribe poses as a criminal breakdown from a warped psychologist.
