i live in a mysterious forest as a hermit, i asked jack if i just don't have a homeland at all and he told me that my homeland was nonspecified, and that it would be determined randomly if i am ever targeted by a nationality-related role. I'd have to assume others are like that as well.

[mention]dunya[/mention] I read it as players without a specific nationality are randomly assigned one of the four, but it's unclear whether they are randomly assigned one for the whole game or if it is randomly decided for everyone who checks/every time it is relevant mechanically? I'd like an answer on that

I’m like 95 percent sure it’s a missing Oxford comma or else the following word randomly wouls be unnecessary. But checking is always good.

I can't decide how to feel about this snippet, like it's sort of adjacent to Mac's MO of tossing out early reads, but it's a much longer list of reads in random order and it smells kinda funky... maybe it's excusable since he was on vacation and wanted to just list stuff out in one post all disorganized-like because he had to post quickly? but yeah then he does the thing Jay called out re: pursuing colonialbob especially

like, there are roles that check nationality (your role, right?) so would nationality just be randomized whenever it comes up that they're checked (and possibly show up differently at different times) or does he randomly pick a nationality for those players at the beginning of the game that stays consistent?

re-randomizing it defeats the purpose of my role, kinda? also, my role is a little weak man. I mean, if so many townies are from badguyia, me catching someone from badguyia doesn't mean they're scum anymore. I didn't realize townies are going to be from badguyia as well till today. o.O

I guess the rules say "assigned" which sort of implies it's permanent, which makes more sense, but this post by Kyle made it sound like it might be the other way I suggested:

I did one long read through of the game and only picked up one ping from colonalbon. By the time I got to the end I saw he had also put forth a scum read of me. Hence my posts.

I did the big weird reads list because large game and phone. I ain't going to make a 400 player long rainbow while contending with phone formatting.

But nobody had a gun to his head? He just posted that list of names out of thin air? There had to have been some reasoning behind those reads
