If MP had a switch, why did he need to vote Rabbit to save himself? This result makes me think that the baddies are experienced (and possibly sadistic) players. Having Aces flip bad, made Golden look good. Now having Golden flip good, makes MP look bad. Maybe there's more than one lynch switch power. This is too much thinking for a Friday night.

Well, I guess the baddies got their revenge for the Day One lynch switch. Somehow. How many secret secrets are out there? Two lynch switches and a curse, any other things anyone has noticed?

MP07, first I'd like to say that my suspicion of you was NOT based on "Golden suspects MP so I do" as a few people apparently did. Second, I'd like to say I no longer suspect you. I believe your reactions were genuine, and that you are a Civvie.

Next, I'd like to suggest that these lynches are something we'll have to figure out. Maybe there will always be some wacky factor involved that we can figure out, and predict and control. This is two lynches in a row... one got a baddie, one got a Civvie. Maybe this isn't two separate secret lynch switches, maybe in Toon Town we have to deal with some other factor. A quick look showed me that it's not the same number of players away from the most-lynch-votes person, and you don't move the lynch up by how many votes the leader got. Those are just a couple of things I thought of off the top of my head, maybe someone else can see a pattern.

Occams razor, the lynch switch was used up and a civvie did not do it. Wasting a lynch switch to save a civvie did not happen. IMO

I am VERY conflicted about MP. I think if I hadn't been attempting to vote while rather drunk, and while walking my dog wearing those stupid gloves with the metal threads in te fingers that are supposed to let you use your phone with them on (News Flash: they're really damned frustrating! Especially when your fingers are all wonkajeeby from the booze)....if those factos hadn't played in, I might have held off on my vote a little, and not been so hasty...but honestly, I probably still would've coted MP. Yes, I thought there was merit to Golden's case. Im not sure why agreeing with Golden and bf makes people unsure about me? I'm pretty sure agreeing with or disagreeing with wht other people say is part of this game...since I was in no position to do a more thorough read through and make my own case, and since i agreed that there was some plausibility to MP being an Aces teammate, I voted based on the limited knowledge I had at the time.

Now, MPs angry rants make me wary of voting him again, since they could be genuine civ reactions...but, of course, they could also be frustrate baddie reactions. Regardless, they were pretty off putting and I'm glad MP realized tht and apologized ( ), but I dont know what o make of them.

The lynch switch doesn't look great for MP, but LC's idea is an interesting (if terrifying) one.

Yeah, it's possible...but that would only explain one of the lynch "switches", since different people were leading the lunch both times. Day 1, the person withh e second most votes bit the dust, and Day 2 someone with no votes croaked. Based purely on previous game mechanics (which obviously might mean nothing here), I think MM's save reads more like a built in lynch survival (he is essentially removed from the tally of votes, thus leaving Aces with the highest tally), while MP's read more like a switch (where whoever is doing the switching chose to change it to Golden). The switcher may or may not have actually been MP/MPs teammate in that scenario. I can imagine arguments for both.

But that's all speculation. LCs theory is just as plausible at this point I think.

I've seen too many people fight to the very bitter end to be fooled by something like this. Dex, BLL, someone else whose name I can't recall but she was on that one website that we all abandoned stv? Anyway I think a don't like this is a lot easier to pull off if you know you're surviving.

Sophie, I was the first one right off the bat to say I suspect a baddie lynch switch. Why are you neglecting that information? BF is NOT the only one saying the baddies did it; I don't understand how you received that impression.

To answer your question though, Sophie, I have absolutely no idea how I survived. I was definitely posting under the impression I was a dead man, and I think my posts reflect that.

And to give you a question, Sophie, why the heck did you vote for me? You said you didn't have time to elaborate before, but you don't know either. You didn't appear to be leaning that way AT ALL, and you still haven't satisfactorily explained it, IMO. Seriously, I went back and skimmed through your posts and your vote for me was definitely opportunistic.

BF, I understand and agree that a civilian did not switch the lynch. That doesn't make any sense to me. You seemed to imply something else in your posts, however, or maybe I'm wrong. Did you?

Also, why would you say Golden's change was due to Jessica? I understand your point, but there are two problems with that, from my perspective:
1) From what I recall, Golden did not backpedal off of anyone he suspected yesterday completely. Wouldn't he have if the reason for his change of heart was due to Jessica?
2) Why would you point this out in thread, if it were true? Wouldn't it possibly help the baddies narrow down who Jessica is?

I will admit I also am confounded by Golden's change of heart, especially since I and others asked him, and he sort of vaguely answered it. To you and others who know him better, was this kind of behavior normal for him? It's not like he completely shifted his thoughts, but reevaluated his suspects and shuffled them around. Yet rabbit said he gets tunnel vision. So is this characteristic or not?

And what are you trying to say by "this" is easier to pull off? I don't understand. Are you trying to implicate me without talking about me directly? If you think I've faked this, come out and say it.

juliets, I'm really sorry if you felt like I was threatening you or anyone else or that I was mad at you in particular. Yes, I did have my feelings hurt, and it's far from being just your fault -- I just was absolutely floored that only a few players who actually suspected me this game (Golden, BF, rabbit, mainly, in that order of most explanation to least of the three) have elaborated on why they think so, but that so many others seem to just hop onto Golden's case against me when I defended against it IMO really well (which I felt Golden even recognized, since he said I sounded civilian, even if it appeared the evidence looked bad for me).

Here's the problem, as I've said over and over, and that's that the evidence is wrong, because I would never openly issue a non-opinion on a teammate and steer the thread singlehandedly at such a critical point in the game. That would be suicidal. And now that Golden was lynched instead of me, and he had no votes, I'm certain this was a baddie lynch switch designed to make me look bad. But I swear it wasn't me.

And I just got really frustrated that I kept asking people to actually elaborate on why they saw me as bad but I didn't really get much out of people, and I kept getting ignored. Not just once but multiple times. (Again, a few players didn't ignore me, but you, Sophie, and Canuck voted for me practically out of nowhere).

I hope that makes sense. It doesn't excuse my behavior for getting really mad, so I really apologize to you and everyone else for that. Sorry folks. I should have counted to five. I just figured I was going to die and had very limited time to get all my thoughts out, and I was super frustrated that I'd been railroaded.

Now I never got to finish my re-read yesterday, but I think this past lynch illuminates a lot of possible avenues for catching baddies tomorrow. I will pursue these with what free time I get today and tomorrow.

And Epi, I just had to read your host post a second time. Too funny.

And regarding the two lynches thus far, I think Occam's Razor suggests one of the following two possibilities:
1) Aces was lynched by a civilian lynch switch and Golden was lynched by a baddie lynch switch
2) Aces was lynched due to vote manipulation (since it was 8-5) and Golden was lynched by a baddie lynch switch (since he would have needed 6 votes to even die)

If 2) is accurate, that means there likely is a decent amount of vote manipulation, but that it was civilian vote manipulation that caused Aces's death.

OR, the baddie team pulled a stunt like Bass, S~V~S, and I did in WWE where we switched the lynch to me, lynching me, and sending all of the thread on a wild goose chase for my teammates. Somehow I really doubt that. But I suppose it's possible. Does anyone think Aces would want to sacrifice himself on purpose on D1?

I do not necessarily think that there is the existence of a role that splints is talking about, unless I suppose that role is MM, and the baddies knew it would get the second highest vote getter lynched (Aces), and they didn't care as much since not many players would believe the top two vote receivers were baddie.

Actually, thinking on this, this is a third possibility, but IMO still the most unlikely.

I've seen D1 lynches with two baddies taking the blunt of the heat before, and the one not lynched getting cleared for some time. Pretty rare though.

BF, Sophie, and Canuck are pinging me something hard at the moment. Sophie and Canuck opportunistically voted for me so insanely, and Sophie's really confused response and Canuck's follow-up do not convince me they had the best intentions at heart. Can either of you explain to me why you think I'm bad and actually address my meta concern that I do NOT non-suspicion my baddie teammates on Day 1?

And BF's vague statements saying "I've seen too many people fight to the very bitter end to be fooled by something like this." and similar sentiments over and over without actually saying that he believes I am bad and switched the lynch ping me HARD. Come on, BF. Stop being vague. If you suspect me, say it. Or at least explain what you're talking about.
