So what do you think of me for asking the question?
It’s an interesting, if not good, question. You’re a better townie than me but have a more similar playstyle as town than the average player. I have a penchant for WIFOM questions when I’m town. So I’m not going to straight up call it scum, but because you didn’t build a stupid case (yet I suppose) it looks a little better. Therefore, NAI on the first question with slight town read on the follow-up direction.

Sure, but acting civ well and creating cases when mafia *is* sowing chaos, because you know the cases are BS (or in 2 mafia team environment, there's not really any reason to actually care if the case is correct, only if it's believeable).

And yea, thought so. So that's probably the real answer then, isn't it?

My positive interpretation is that Tony responded to my question very assertively. Scum Tony might have fallen into any of those traps he listed.

My negative interpretation is that Scum Tony is clever enough to come up with an assertive response to a question like that. He doesn’t want to appear soft, so he throws the question back in my face.

Typing it out now, I actually think I feel more strongly about the latter. Interesting.

I don't get his responses. I mean, they exist, which is nice. But I'm genuinely not able to discern any actual meaning. His last few posts feel so... Turing Test. Oooh, is that it? Is he an AI and I just made him fail? That'd be cool.
Lol I've got a mindmeld with mister bishop over here
There's a 99% chance you just implied your a cow.
I never actually watched enough Fringe to get this one lol
Walter kept a pet cow in the lab that he experimented on. Iirc, at one point he used her for early mind connection research.
That actually sounds somewhat familiar (but maybe I've been incepted lol) was it in season 1 bc I think I only ever watched season 1 but even my memories of that are vague
yea, it would be S1, fairly early on. In later seasons the cow (Betty? B...eatrice? Pretty sure she had a B name) mostly existed for pretty meh jokes about milking and teats.

fringe. With no observer player roles. But observers still win the game.

All the roles are actually just gonna be Walter’s favorite snacks.

My negative interpretation is that Scum Tony is clever enough to come up with an assertive response to a question like that. He doesn’t want to appear soft, so he throws the question back in my face.

Typing it out now, I actually think I feel more strongly about the latter. Interesting.
Other than the part where he listed those traps, I got no meaning out of those posts he made. Like you said, the posts weren't soft. But. Assertive I don't agree with. They felt like the absolute barest minimum to be involved without actually getting involved. Because he used those posts to justify votes that... I have no idea how he got to.
I mean it was a random post philosophy discussion. I live for that. But anyone who attempts to find game relevant meaning will probably come up empty handed.
How did I use those posts to justify votes?

I think town Tony is more likely to not want to appear soft I can do a self analysis if you want but it’s all WIFOM.

You’re scum for lying low yesterday.
This is a WIFOM trap and I don’t like it.
Interesting. Explain.
There is basically no normal response I could give to the post that I (and presumably you) wouldn’t be able to read and create an argument for in either direction. Now you’ve played with me a few times and so I’m not doubting that as best as I try to hide it I’d give off a sort of meta tone read but I don’t think it’s consistent.
So like:

General list of defenses

Angry response
apology
Shrug off
Meta defense
:feb:

I can’t say which of these I’d be more likely to give as scum or town. Probably depends more on my mood and like whatever comes to mind first. There are players who I think I would have a better idea of what they’d do but that can be manipulated too.
Wut
Question = bad
Why is the question bad? Scum use the question to build stupid cases and then yell at me for getting into a meta discussion which Sloonei knows I’m prone to do.

Why could the question be good? I would ask it because I think there’s value in the long run in trying to understand the psyche of each player even if I don’t actually think much could ever be ascertained in this game. That’s a possible town motivation or a possible scum motivation.

Why is it not bad here? Well at the time of posting Sloonei hadn’t made a stupid WIFOM argument about it yet.

Does that clarify?

I suppose it’s stupid to say that it’s bad for Sloonei to ask a WIFOM question and then continue in that line without saying the question is inherently scum, but I think you can ask the question and ascertain info that doesn’t lead to a WIFOM argument.

By the seat of our pants.
It’s easy I think but my computer is a piece of trash and I hate it so phones just seem more efficient.
It also slows me down which means I have to structure posts a little better than the stream of consciousness things I could say otherwise.

I don't get this post and I kinda think it's scummy
Do you not get it as in you think the logic is unclear or do you not understand why it is the way it is
cause I feel a compulsive desire to expand on the former if necessary and couldn’t care less if it’s something else.
