Extra innings. From a fantasy perspective, as long as you aren't playing one of the pitchers, this can net some serious $$$.

Free manicures for a year or a $500 gift card to Wal-Mart?

Re: Would you rather - -

by S~V~S
I don't go to Wal Mart, and I do home manicures. But I would take the gift card and sell it.

Target Or WalMart?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Sat Apr 23, 2016 1:54 pm
by Ricochet
I don't have any of them in this country, but for the sake of imagination, something tells me I'd try to avoid WalMart. No idea how Target is, though.

If I were town and you were mafia, would you more likely night kill me if I were on to one or several of your team or if I wouldn't otherwise have my hands too dirty, hence making it hard for you to attempt to smear me in public?

Wisdom of the elders, or out of the mouths of babes?

Re: Would you rather - -

by indiglo
A mixture of both is nice, but if I only get one - Wisdom of elders, no doubt. (Although kids can hand out some hard core truths from time to time.)

No context for me, so Haruki sounds pretty rolling off the tongue.

Sing a concert at the state fair or preach a sermon at the local church?

I probably would be better at the sermon, just minus the God element :p

Read a "real" book, or a Kindle/Nook digital book?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Mon Apr 25, 2016 7:47 pm
by Ricochet
Definitely real, digital only if it was never translated here or I can't find an original copy in the bookstores (or too lazy to order), either.

Vinyl or CD?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Mon Apr 25, 2016 9:15 pm

Vinyl. (But for honesty's sake, I actually go almost entirely digital these days. I do still have a decent record collection from my youth though.)

talk on the phone or in person?

I'm a communicational disaster either way, but I like my phone calls short, so for more conversation in person if possible.

Tie or bow tie?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Tue Apr 26, 2016 8:04 pm
by S~V~S
This totally depends on the man. I like a bow tie, but imo 75% or more men can't pull one off. And a guy who shouldn't be wearing a bow tie really should not be wearing one.

National League or American League?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Wed Apr 27, 2016 1:12 am
by indiglo
American League. (It's just the league my boys play in, so I gotta say it. I do enjoy the interleague play though, and we had a few games recently where we gave up our DH, and I do so love watching the pitchers at the plate. They really seem to enjoy it too.)

Air dry. Takes two minutes.

Horseshoes or cornhole?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Thu Apr 28, 2016 10:21 am
by S~V~S
I will say horseshoes, because where I grew up cornhole is a euphemism for something that is not a fun party game (I just googled it and I was unaware there was a game called that).

While I love to cook and cook out, I've got uncles who are kings on the grill, so them.

Cold or burnt hot dog?

Re: Would you rather - -

I don't eat them and never have since I was able to state food preferences. But I really dislike burnt food, so I will say cold.

Ren & Stimpy I suppose. I never got into either, really.

Tolstoy because he had a nice beard. But I don't have a daughter, so

There's a knock on the door; in your town is it: Mormons or Jehovahs Witnesses?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Thu Apr 28, 2016 7:56 pm

Jehovah's Witnesses. They have been here before, and I have not encountered the Mormons yet (though I did when I lived in Cincinnati, long story).

Pool or Hot Tub?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Fri Apr 29, 2016 8:48 am
by Ricochet
I'm scared of pools and I'm too shy to lounge in a hottub with others. Sea- or oceanside beach is the only compromise.

Snooker; watch or play?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Fri Apr 29, 2016 8:56 am

Watch, I can't even play 8-ball properly. But I'd like the principles of snooker more, even to play.

Netflix; binge on TV shows, or films?

Re: Would you rather - -

Posted: Fri Apr 29, 2016 9:03 am

I haven't made the step to subscribe to local Netflix yet, but I would probably use it to binge TV shows the most. I heard the film selection is laughable.
