The Syndicate

The concept of U-Pick is that you pick your character from a theme. In U-Pick Anything you can be anything. Ever wanted to be a mop? An anthropomorphic sturgeon? An old timey gigolo? A wheel of cheese? Live out those dreams in U-Pick Anything.

Essentially it is possible that this game becomes a complete clusterfuck bastard game but you know that going in so just accept it.

The sign up opens. Players will enter and PM me their desired character. I will shut the sign ups down when I feel like the number is right. I will then craft roles to match the zany or mundane things you come up with. Decide you want to be a ghost sandwich? Each night you will be offered to a player as a meal. If the player decides to eat you they will become possessed by you during the next phase and will be forced to be post in a curse of your choosing. Something like that anyway.

I will do my best to craft a chaotic universe for all these beings to reside in that makes zero sense.

Memes will be created. Sanity will be lost. Chaos shall prevail. It's anti-mafia and it's a lot of fun.

If I remember correctly someone was a photo of Vito and someone else was Vito himself and then Vito was in the game and had picked some lame anime character or something and kept getting annoyed about other people being him.

I know exactly what I want to be in this game, but I'm not going to tell anyone.

I've played a game like this before. At 38 players, it was the second biggest game I'd ever been part of.

That one had the users submit 3 songs, and they were 'remixed' into the role.

If that one's any indication, this will be freaking hilarious

p.s. Vito is the only RYMer I pmd about playing mafia who didn't reply to me. Fuck that actually, I'll be Vito's worse nightmare.

So it's the same as Favorites but less media-related and you get to be your own character.

I imagine trying to come up with actual roles to satisfy peoples whims for strange role choices is much more energy that picking a theme!

I think MacDougall should let players pick their own role abilities too, and then just assign their teams appropriately.

Ohh yeah we had a game like that a long time ago Marmot by Freckles and people really enjoyed it.

If anyone wants to send their role to me ahead of time please do.
