Slasher Mafia (SIDE MISSION)

A game for up to 20 players.

Games tend to have one Serial Killer role, maybe two if it's big, but what if every role was a serial killer? This game is going to be an attempt at having a game in that vein; whether or not it's a good idea will be discovered!

The set-up will be closed and players will assume the role of famous movie and TV "slashers" (because "Serial Killer Mafia" sounds kind of grotesque). Most will be town-aligned, but there will be a select few to make up the mafia (meaning this is not Last Man Standing). Every player in the game, regardless of alignment, will have a secret kill-condition they must satisfy in order to attempt a nightkill on a target. Some of them may force players to complete certain tasks, while others may require them to interact with the game and its players in a certain way. For example, the slasher Charlie Blackmon would only be able to kill players who talk about baseball, or who have "three strikes" (three erroneous votes), or etc. There will be no other roles aside from serial killers, although none of the ones I have sketched out now are conventional and all of them will make for a really fun and challenging time.

In order to prevent this from being a one-phase speed game, there will also be a points mechanic to determine whether your kill is successful. I'm still getting the kinks worked out, but basically: you start with X amount of points on Day 1, which you can allocate to Offense, Defense or the Bank. If your Offense is higher than your target's Defense, you are more likely to kill them; but if your Defense is too low, you'll find yourself at risk of being killed yourself. Points regenerate after a few phases, but it's another dimension of tactical thinking you'll need to consider as you attempt to snuff out scum or the town, as the case may be.

This is more experimental than anything I've hosted elsewhere and I'll do my best to balance it ... but it may end up being a bloodbath. Good. When it gets close to being up in the queue I'd love for the mod on duty to take a look at my set-up and critique it, as well as anybody that from the jump won't be interested, but until then ...

I wonder if this will include a flag hunt?
