Wanna play a mafia game, but you can't keep up with a large thread? Hate standard assumptions of normality? Are you a nerd? Do you like cupcakes?

One punch Post Mafia is the game for you.

Basic idea: Standard mafia game using the heist matrix. Only one post per player per day (or per game, haven't decided yet.)

With no clear record of what was said, and accusations flying in... well, very limited directions because of the few posts deal, this game will be a great time! Maybe. If it sounds interesting to you guys, and if I submit it to the queue.

Should I run this nightmare?

We did this once but you got 4 posts per day and it was pretty fun

I think the forum I started playing on had editing .. it was basically a one-way ticket to lynchtown if you did, though, no matter what your edit actually was.

I'll have to make sure there is a way to enable post edits. As a mod, all my posts are editable.

You'll also need to determine what kinds of edits are legal. Can a player simply keep adding to an original post and carry on like it's a bulletin board? Or must a post content be completely deleted and replaced by new content?

People can bulletin board it, with full spoilers. At least, until they reach the character limit, whatever it is.
They can delete whatever they said. They can replace it. They can react to things, re-tag people.

It wouldn't inhibit anything, but the edits might make it interesting. Do you log everything you've said? If not, what if others misremember it? Can you hide something scummy you said, or change it slightly to cause 'change blindness'? Can you guarantee your post has always said what it says?

Pretty much this. We are TS, we do weird games, let's do this one more.

Nah just make it character limiting per post and put a 5 minute window between posts.

Omerta (4 posts per day) was just about impossible, but mostly because people used their posts shitposting and didn't take it seriously. I think it could have really been far less 'gimmicky' if the people had been a little different. Like, it's simple really, instead of TH getting to suicide, he should have just has his bank account hacked and one dollar removed for each post over four

1 post per game it is.

The whole topic will take place on one page. I will have a start post that is edited with the results of each day and night, and will PM people to update them when that occurs.

I will also make a buffer post after all player posts are in. Anything after that post is not a part of the game. If we have non-players or dead players posting, or some post game posting, it could go after the buffer post.

I'll get this in the queue.
