Official Baseball Rules
-Game will follow a 48/24 cycle; 48 days and 24 hour nights.
-Players may roleclaim and infodump in the thread.
-No unregulated BTSC.
-The player with the most votes at the end of each Day phase is ejected. The Commissioner will flip a coin in the event of a tie.
-Double targeting will not be allowed in the event that a player has a role with unlimited shots. Limited shot abilities may double-target.
-A balk will be called when a pitcher who is on the rubber makes any motion naturally associated with his pitching delivery and does not actually deliver the ball, feigns a throw to first or third base and fails to complete the throw, or fails to step directly toward a base before throwing to that base. Once a pitcher has swung his free leg back past the pitching rubber while in the process of his leg kick, he must then deliver the ball to the plate or to second base on a pick-off attempt.
-Dead players should refrain from posting on-topic content, and their posts should be in dead red.
-It is encouraged that off-topic content be in OT green.
-This is the Commissioner's color. Try to avoid using it.
-Sportsmanlike conduct should be adhered to at all times. This is America's pastime and we should all do our best to be kind to one another. The MoD for this game is juliets.
-Please direct all questions about the game's setup or mechanics to the Commissioner in private.
NOTE: Roles are randomly assigned to characters/players. There is no connection between the character of a role and its ability/alignment.

But it's not for everyone. You see cricket is the big deal down there. All the best batters and chuckers prefer the red ball to the baseball. But not me. And do you wanna know why? Not sure if to put this in green or not, so went with not, since it is a poll question.
Originally, baseball was set up with 9 field positions, one of which is a pitcher, with the teams alternating between batting at the ball attempting to make runs, and pitching the ball and controlling the field, trying to stop the other teams runners from scoring. Nine field positions, nine batters.
The American League has the DH rule which allows them to protect their pwecious pitcher and his arm by allowing another player to hit for him, changing the original rules of the game. This allows them to keep their pitcher in the game longer, with less stress on his arm and less chance of him being hurt while hitting or baserunning.
It also allows them to put a power slugger into their line up, generally either a player who is too large and slow, or too old and slow but still able to hit hard, to play a position. This is where you find the players who can neither hit not catch a ball, but they sure can hit. So it tends to (artificially, imo) inflate both their hitting and pitching statistics as compared to the National League, which does not have this rule.
The DH rule is evil. Hiss.
I am still working, my employer is considered essential (lol) so my routine that way is not interrupted, but my spring is so so so messed up with no baseball. My local sports network is playing classic Mets games, and I am watching them, but I am so sad.

Sounds awesome, I only watched short game moments in movies. Of course i could go at youtube and watch a full game but I didn't find this useful until now.

Play Ball!
An exhibition game between current and past MLB players has been scheduled for this afternoon and the fans are packing the stadium to see their favorite players take the field. But the eternal struggle between good and evil rages on in the shadows behind homeplate; one small but powerful group of individuals conspires to bind the game to their shared will, siphoning off the energy and destroying the fanfare, all in the name of their blind quest for balance. I speak, of course, of the Umpires.
As the game begins to unfold, the players begin to notice that it is not being called fairly. Balls are strikes, strikes are balls, the hallowed infield fly rule has been utterly tarnished!
It’s the bottom of the third and the batter strikes out looking on a pitch two inches outside. From the dugout, the manager can be heard scoffing. Without a moment’s hesitation the umpire rips off his face mask, and with all the rage of the cosmos behind his pointer finger, signals a booming ejection. The floodgates have been opened. It is up to the players to clean up this mess…
