9 Civs - Find the threats to town and remove them. You win once all non civilians are removed from the game.
2 Mafia - Deceive and survive the town's hunt. You win once you've hit vote parity.
1 Independent - Play to your own. You win once you've achieved your win condition.
HELP! I DrWilgy, most definitely a Doctor, keep getting taken hostage at night! All the players of this game keep making me say things that I wouldn't normally say! I'm sure it'd stop if town could just catch those pesky scum and that silly serial killer!
At night, each player may submit a message and the host will anonymously relay the message in the following start of day post. Any host messaging regarding end of night results WILL ALSO come through these messages. FOR example a single player submitting the message "DrWilgy is most definitely a doctor!" may result a night result post like so:

DrWilgy has been killed, they were town 2 shot Doctor
the host message will follow the above format as seen in 'DrWilgy has been killed, they were town 2 shot Doctor' and messages will be organized at random. Further example of hosts posts will be provided later.
Messaging from the host to players individually WILL be from the host only. This is the host color, host color posts are to be taken as truth as well.
the Poll and Player lists will accurately be reflective of who is alive.
This game will be played on the following matrix of roles. Roles in the game will be determined by selecting either one of the columns OR rows based on the number rolled on a 6 sided dice before roles and alignments are distributed randomly. Players that do not receive a role from below will be either Vanilla Town or Vanilla Mafia Goon.
One player will be selected as the Silly Serial Killer. Silly Serial Killer - You are Independent. You win once you've either hit vote parity, OR you've managed to silly serial kill 2 other players.
- You will prevent the first night kill preformed on you (unless strongmaned).
- Silly Serial Kill - At night, you may select a player and choose either a role OR one of the messages provided in the previous end of night post. IF that player is correctly chosen as that non-vanilla role OR the submitter of said message they will be night killed. This night kill will be strongmaned and may not be prevented.
- Players that fail to submit a message to be voiced through the host while you are alive will receive +1 to their vote total the following day phase.
Vanilla Mafia Goon - You are aligned with the mafia team. You win once you've hit vote parity.
1 shot Janitor - You are aligned with the mafia team. Once per game at night, you may clean up the mafia team's night kill. This night kill will not have an alignment flip. The host message resulting from this will look like so:
DrWilgy has been killed.
Role Cop - You are aligned with the mafia team. At night, you may select a player, you will be informed of their role if any. The silly serial killer will return as Vanilla Town.
1 shot Strongman - You are aligned with the mafia team. Once per game at night, you may empower the mafia team's night kill. This night kill may not be prevented.
Role Blocker - You are aligned with the mafia team. At night, you may select a player, and that player's submitted action (if any) will fail. They will be informed of this block only if they have submitted an action that would return information.
Mason - You are aligned with the Civ team. You and the other Mason may speak privately within your own behind the scenes chat.
Neighborizer - You are aligned with the Civ team. During night 1, you may select another player. You will be able to speak privately within your own behind the scenes chat with this player as long as you both remain in the game.
2 shot Jailer - You are aligned with the Civ team. Twice per game at night during any separate night phases, you may jail another player. Jailed players submitted action (if any) will fail and any night kills (if any) preformed on the jailed player will fail (unless strongmaned).
2 shot Motion Detector - You are aligned with the Civ team. Twice per game at night during any separate night phases, you may motion detect another player. You will be informed if that player either preformed an action OR if an action was preformed on them. You will not be informed of what those actions were or who preformed them.
1 shot Cop - You are aligned with the Civ team - Once per game at night, you may cop another player. You will be informed of that player's alignment. the silly serial killer will return as Vanilla Town.
3 shot JOAT - You are aligned with the Civ team - Three times per game at night during any separate night phases, you may select to use one of the following abilities: Motion Detector, Jailer, Doctor, Tracker, Voyeur. You may only select each of the abilities once.
Motion Detector - you may motion detect another player. You will be informed if that player either preformed an action OR if an action was preformed on them. You will not be informed of what those actions were or who preformed them.
Jailer - you may jail another player. Jailed players submitted action (if any) will fail and any night kills (if any) preformed on the jailed player will fail (unless strongmaned).
Doctor - you may doctor another player. Night kills (if any) preformed on the doctored player will fail (unless strongmaned).
Tracker - you may track another player. You will be informed if that player preformed an action targeting another player. You will be informed of who that player targeted, but not what those actions were.
Voyeur - you may observe another player. You will be informed what actions that player was targeted with (if any), but not who preformed them.
2 shot Doctor - You are aligned with the Civ team. Twice per game at night during any separate night phases, you may doctor another player. Night kills (if any) preformed on the doctored player will fail (unless strongmaned).
1 shot Vig - You are aligned with the Civ team. Once per game at night, you may Vig another player. That player will be night killed unless prevented.
Example Vanilla Civ message:
Congrats! You are a vanilla civilian! Eliminate the threats to the town!
If the Silly Serial Killer and the Mafia achieve parity at the same time. They will both win.

RULES: Players will be allowed 80 posts per Day Phase. Exceeding this will result in penalty.
Ties will be decided at random.
Night Kills/Yeets will result in a flip (unless janitored).
Day/Night cycles are standard 48/24.
Thread will be locked at night. Votes should be made both in poll and in thread There WILL be a hammer enacted for this game at LYLO *Players shall not discuss further following hammer or poll locking. Discussion following hammer or poll locking if I'm not around to lock the thread may result in penalty* Votes WILL be changeable UNTIL LYLO.
No BTSC unless indicated otherwise via dm.
No angleshooting/excessive ATE.
- This includes the use of discussion regarding communication with host and other non players.
Self-Voting will not count.
Questions to the host should be made via DM.
No editing/deleting posts.
Off topic discussion should use OT
Non players should use np
Dead players should not post Please refrain from using host color. I've called dibs.

Being able to express opinions with finite posts is certainly a skill that I’m rusty with but knee-jerk judgments I will make. And that will suffice.
I’m willing to say I feel pretty ok with everyone that has posted so far. I’m going to avoid metas as much as possible this game since I feel like I’ve been in the state penitentiary for a couple years regarding *playing* mafia.
But boy I can’t wait to hogtie the host up. Sounds like a fun time!
The Genesee River Killer, aka Arthur Shawcross, was an American serial killer active primarily in Rochester, New York. Despite being convicted early in his murderous career, he still racked up a number of victims, some of who were children. Arthur was initially sentenced to 25 years behind bars for the killing of a 10-year-old, which should have curbed his killing spree. However, a huge blunder made in the justice department saw that he was deemed no longer a threat to anyone and he was released early—he served only 14 years of his sentence. This mistake proved fatal for the 12 women he would go on to slay. Police were dumbfounded by the killings—they had no leads, no modus operandi, and no tangible evidence.
Robert Keppel, a retired detective, told the police that they were giving the killer too much credit, and this does seem to be the case, judging by how he was caught. Police proceeded to wait at a scene where the killer had dumped a body, suspecting that he would return at some point. Sure enough, they were right, and they found their killer: Arthur was urinating at the scene of the crime. They then put on helicopter surveillance, photographing Shawcross eating his lunch over the body of one of his victims. He was subsequently convicted and spent the rest of his life in prison.
Downright sloppy at best, perhaps Arthur thought he’d never get caught—if only he could have saved his lunch for later.
