Anyone play em? Anyone interested in playing, maybe starting a league? I'm more of a fantasy football guy myself... But baseball season is coming up and I'm a little curious to try it out.

I play fantasy Survivor, and that's about it. And my picks of David, Woo, and Sarah are not working out very well.

It sounds like you would be awful at fantasy baseball. So do you wanna play?

The extent of my baseball knowledge comes from the movie
Moneyball, so I'll pass. There was a league on RM, I think.

RM plays fantasy football and baseball I think. I only do the football.

TH i would be very interested in playing fantasy football but only if it's ESPN fantasy. I'm not a baseball fan, sorry, or i would play that too.

I've never played ESPN's fantasy football. I like Yahoo's iPhone app, and I hate NFL.com's. is ESPN better than both of those?
Alright, I'll ask again come football season. Tbh that's what I'm more interested in playing as well

I've helped my dad with Yahoo, NFL, and ESPN (as well as doing ESPN twice myself) And yeah I enjoy ESPN the best.

I believe SVS and Kate are baseball fans so they might be good ones to talk to about it. I only follow hockey so I'm no help

though it sounds fun. how much do you need to know to play

I am a cursory Football watcher and I got 3rd place last year. You should ask Aces about baseball.

I've heard that fantasy baseball is way more time intensive than fantasy football and also requires more knowledge of the sport.
Fantasy football is way more casual and pretty easy to understand. You basically only have to set your lineup once a week. Whereas in baseball I assume you might have to swap players in and out every day, based on whether they have a game that day.
If you're an interested newbie, I definitely recommend trying football first!
Unfortunately, it feels like it's forever away still.

I'm a pretty big baseball nut myself, and a Reds follower.
I'd join a league if one was started.

I'm way too lazy to setup a baseball league especially since their only seems to be lukewarm interest. But I'm in the same boat as you, if someone else wants to do the legwork I would join
I don't mind trying to organize a football league when the time comes though.

I'll try setting one up tomorrow then. I'll keep it fairly straight-forward as far as the settings go.

Okay, for anyone who wishes to join for some fantasy baseball, here is a link. We need at least 4 teams to get things started. If you have any requests for the settings, go ahead and post here or in the league message board. It will be rotisserie style scoring, but everything else is open for change.
