I need precisely 28 capitalism loving, commie hating, money-grubbing, free-market praising, money is power spewing, players.

But basically just 28 players, since adding and cutting roles won't make any sense.

You can find roles and mechanics here. Some mechanics are being changed before the same, for example:
- powers will be less plentiful, not available only to civvies, but more powerful. The idea is to make bankruptcy a possibility if you aren't careful.
- A full monopoly won't be required to have other players actually pay when they land on what you own. Currently, building a hotel will probably be the requirement.

A TL:DR of mechanics in the game for people who don't want to look at the other thread (things aren't necessarily in order to maximize the sense this will make, apologies, ask any questions you want the answers to before signing up if it makes a difference as to whether you want to play or not):
- Every player is the role of a property in the game. Everyone starts the game with $1000.
- Railroads are 1 baddie team (don't start with BTSC), the utilities are the second team (do start with BTSC).
- Civvies start off just as their own property, each night, like the railroads, they submit the name of another player they want to check. If that player is the same colour (or is a railroad in that case), they get BTSC. For civvies, when a full set of the colour is formed (through the search, or buying up the properties if a would-have-been teammate dies), they become a kind of LMSing team (this is when houses and hotels can be bought).
- A monopoly will be when a group of players with BTSC (or a single player) manages to own all properties along the side of the board their original property was on.
- When a player is NKed, the player(s) who killed them gets control of that property. The railroads kill will switch between members on the team (the kill can't kill a teammate), the utilities will choose which one of them sends it in. If a baddie tries to NK a baddie on the other team, the kill fails. When a player is lynched, their property will be revealed, and anyone can bid on it (players who voted to lynch the player will get money put towards the bid, so voting to lynch the lynched player is beneficial), the bid will be public, and the highest bid at the end of the night phase gets that property.
- Houses and hotels will be available in a limited number. When they are sold (if a player needs money or if 4 houses are replaced with a hotel), they immediately go up to auction, the starting bid being whatever the paid value of it was.
- Typical monopoly stuff is in the game. I'll be rolling for all players to move around the board (landing on properties prior to a hotel being built means the money the player whose property you land on gets paid from the bank, once a hotel is built, it comes out of your pocket), chance and community chest cards are in the game, jail, passing go, free parking is just a safe space. The only changes I've really made are income tax will be a flat 10% of however much money you have, and luxury tax will just mean you don't get go money.
- Trading/selling properties is still a thing. Your actual role (starting property) is the only exception to this, but for any others you get, at any time you can message the host with what you have, and what you want in exchange (or you can just auction it, and set what you will accept as a minimum bid, minimum 12 hours, maximum 48).
- Bankruptcy = death. You can go to $0, but if you then owe anything beyond that (or can't pay what you owe), you are dead and anything you own gets auctioned off (or given to the player you couldn't afford to pay).

Other Stuff:
There will be a link the the board map that I update every time players get moved around the map (at the end of each day cycle). It will be large. If you're mobile user, I expect it won't be fun to look at. I will of course also include all the movements just as text in the post and have it updated there, but if you're a more visual person, I'd recommend having a bigger screen available. It will just be a link (and not put in the thread, by me or anyone else please and thank you), so that it doesn't break things for people.

Since finding players for BTSC will be a sizeable part of the game, any role outting will result in death. Finding a teammate is meant to be chaotic and random. It will change how you play the game, but winning is possible regardless of whether you manage it or not.

I will have everything finalized in this post (or in posts in this thread with links in this post at least) before the game begins, if you have questions now fire away, otherwise start signing up. If sign ups go insanely quickly, the soonest the game could start is tuesday, but I expect it will take longer than that, so expect it to start when we're full (with a Day 0 to give people time to get everything sorted out).

And seriously, I do like playing as the iron.

The Simpsons reference is what got me, that's always a win IMO. Great quote too.

I used to play as the iron, but at some point I switched to the cannon, and that's what I've used ever since.

A bunch of ours got lost when I was a kid, so we started using Lego men. Custom-building your piece is fun.

I think I usually default to the car, the dog, or the battleship.

Yeah, we used the different colored game pieces from games like SORRY, and even the weapons from Clue when we would have huge cousins Mob-opoly and ran out of pieces. And yeah, they did get lost. We also used to make our own money since we would run out too soon with 20 people playing ha ha. The older kids would cut out the paper and give the little kids prizes for coloring/designing the most creative monopoly money.

I miss being a kid. Lots.

That's seriously awesome.

I really miss playing Monopoly with the family, although we didn't have near the size of those games, which sounds outstanding, but still so much fun.

Yeah, I still have some of the Monopoly money my brother made when he was 6 or 7 (he's almost 40 now) lying around somewhere. I think it had Transformers & Spiderman on it.

Since the rules aren't too specific, we always manage create some crazy deals and methods to win when we play with my brothers and cousins. Unfortunately, I have one younger brother who doesn't care whether he wins or loses, it is his goal to make sure that I do not win. lol :(

At my grandparents cottage, they still have the board (and most of the pieces, although with additions because there's like 2 or 3 times the amount of stuff there should be) from when my mom, aunt, and uncle were kids. Some of the property cards got destroyed/lost (whether it was intentional or not is debated), but my mom made new ones when she was about 10 (I lean towards intentional, since it were her favourites that all mysteriously vanished). She didn't change the values (my uncle was the cheater), but she added her own notes about why they were the best (spoiler alert: it was because they were purple).

And yeah, my brother still has our old set, the box is held together with rubber bands, with handmade money and all the tallies from various games that never were finished in there so we will know where we ended if we pick it up again. At least one of those tallies was written in purple marker with every "i" dotted with a heart, so I know how your Mom felt about those purple properties.

I am having to back out. While I do love a boo game I just do not have the time to devote to such an intricate game with so much to remember.

I hope everyone has a fantastic time playing bc boo does make great memorable games.
