Link – Having just left Hyrule on a personal quest, Link finds himself at odds with an imp wearing a mysterious mask. After being transformed into a Deku Scrub, The Hero of Time only has three days and nights to recover the Ocarina of Time and save the world.
Fortunately for him, 10+ different humans are controlling his destiny. Surely at least 1 of them can save the world. Right?
Bringer of Destruction (1)
Skull Kid – Due to his power, with every second that passes, the moon comes ever closer to crashing into the Earth.
Fortunately for him, the most evil Sockian host is controlling his destiny. Surely he can crush the world and all hope for the Links. Right?

Masks
Through various events, challenges, and quests, any Link can acquire any number of masks to be utilized to ensure his survival and vanquish evil.
Only one mask can be worn at a time. To change masks, the Link must PM the host stating the request; from the moment of submission of that request, the new mask's power will activate.
Transformation Masks
Deku Mask – Transforms Link into a Deku.
Goron Mask – Transforms Link into a Goron.
Zora Mask – Transforms Link into a Zora.
Fierce Deity Mask – Transforms Link into Fierce Deity Link.
Other Masks
All Night Mask - Link can still engage in events during Nights even if his controller is not online. Link's actions can be sent up to 12 hours in advance.
Blast Mask - Detonates the surrounding area like a bomb. It can be used against enemies as well as other Links.
Bremen Mask - Control the lynch vote of one player of Link's choice.
Bunny Hood – Link can cut down the time it takes to transfer from one area to the next in half.
Captain's Hat – Link cannot be harmed by ReDeads or Stalchildren.
Circus Leader's Mask – Nullifies the lynch vote of one player of Link's choice.
Couples' Mask – Link gains BTSC with another Link of opposite gender.
Don Gero's Mask – Allows communication with frogs.
Garo's Mask – Allows entry into Ikana Canyon.
Giant Mask - Link starts the lynch with -3 votes.
Gibdo Mask – Link gains BTSC with all dead Links. He also cannot be harmed by Gibdos.
Great Fairy Mask – Link is notified when he is nearby a Stray Fairy.
Kafei Mask - Link can learn about Kafei by talking to other characters.
Kamaro Mask - Distracts any hostile Links by dancing. If Link is attacked by another Link, he will be notified and can decide how long to dance. The attacking Link will dance for twice the duration. While dancing, any Link cannot perform any actions.
Keaton Mask - Summons Keaton.
Mask of Scents - Link can sense the presence of other Links in the same and nearby locations.
Mask of Truth - Link can lie detect statements made by other Links.
Postman's Hat - Link can open mailboxes, stealing their content.
Romani's Mask - Grants access to the Milk Bar.
Stone Mask - Link cannot be harmed or detected by other Links.

Lynches
You're probably wondering: Where is the mafia to this game? Where's the lynch? Well, it comes after every cycle of 3 days and 3 nights.
At that time, players gather in South Clock Town as the moon is about to destroy the Earth. In order to travel back in time, one Link must be sacrificed. The players have 24 hours to vote which Link will be eliminated, after which the next cycle will continue.

There is still more work to be done on this game as I fully prepare it for all of you. I will update more as I get around to it. But I wanted to post what I have now so that I can gauge interest. Ideally, I'd want 10 or more players to run this, but I could take more.
As this is a Special Game, it would likely run sometime Spring 2015. To commemorate the release of Majora's Mask 3D, it would be awesome to have this hosted at that time. However, realistically it is TBD.
Regarding the real time aspects of this, I will try to adhere to this as much as possible. But obviously I can't be around 24/7 and I have a life , so anything requiring a certain time frame to pass will all be tracked and deemed valid per PM submission. That's the only fair way to do it. Even if I'm not around to receive the PM, a player can still travel from one location to another and specify so in their PM; as long as that amount of time passes, they can do something else. Likewise, if there is a race to be the first person to PM me at a certain time, I will obviously just award the prize to whoever is first according to the timestamp in my inbox. I don't need to be around to OK every PM. But I will respond to every PM in due time. And I will try to be in and out of the site as much as possible so that I can attend to PMs.
There will be all kinds of neat events, puzzles, and challenges this game. Players can also communicate with each other BTS by composing letters and dropping them in mailboxes all throughout Termina.
I realize this is a far cry from most mafia games, hence it is a Special Game, and it really is a unique blend of RPG, D&D, and Mafia elements set in the theme of Termina from Majora's Mask. I hope it's unique enough to warrant interest but that the lynch element at the end of each cycle satisfies the mafia addiction.
I'm so incredibly excited for this! I hope you all are as well.

There's no denying that the world of Termina is a perfect backdrop for a text-based adventure-esque D&D/RPG/mafia mashup thing that I've created here.
I think it will be really neat to have players engaged in something different than straight-up mafia, and while knowledge of the game can help due to familiarity, it certainly is far from necessary.
If people really take to this and it is successful, I'd definitely be open to running more in the future with non video-game thematic bases.

Figured you would like this.

Cool! I will always love more Zelda games. I'm heading back to England next week so I think I will restart this game when I get back.
Oh also since I mentioned it in the other Zelda game signups or whatever, I put the Twillight Princess disk in and something is wrong with the wii and it won't load ;( so, wasn't able to play that one like I planned

Also, FYI: I didn't specify when the time of "Days" and "Nights" would be. Obviously everything will be real time; even though I am in CST, I know the majority of our member base is EST, and EST is also most convenient in incorporating other timezones (GMT, PST) without them being TOO far away from the norm.
For now, I was thinking each Day would be 7:00AM - 7:00PM EST and each Night would be 7:00PM - 7:00AM.
But I'm open to discussion on that point.

Awesome! You totally should; this one is my favorite.
Bummer. My brother had a similar problem, oddly, turns out it was actually the disc though and not the Wii.
What do you think of the unconventional dynamic? Just trying to get feedback from folks on that. Intriguing change of pace? Or would this have been better as a much more strictly based mafia game?

At first I thought it was the disc too, but I tried another and had the same error message. Maybe will try some more later, but of course am running out of time to play it now anyways.
I think it looks fun, but incredibly complicated. I generally prefer more straightforward games, and only really play the more difficult ones if it is a concept I love. As long as it is explained well as its played I think it will be ok.

That's a bummer. Lol, I understand that feeling.
Good to know. Especially since the setup will be unconventional and the amount of different aspects to track will be complicated, I intend on making sure everything is clear to everyone as much as possible, and in tracking all of the "hard" stuff myself. I will really be more like a DM in D&D than a mafia host in this sense, giving you guys the options and letting you talk amongst yourselves to figure out the best course of action.
Speaking of which, the ever-shifting balance of collaboration and competition I think will be really neat to see play out.
Thanks for the thoughts!

thanks! I got him at the store when I bought Twilight Princess. It was in one of those bags where you can't tell what one is in the bag. So I picked one out and keys picked one out. And I really really really really wanted to get Princess Zelda, so I opened mine and got that one. He looks cute, but I was disappointed. Keys opened his and of course his was Zelda Right now I have both on my keychain, but he will probably want Zelda back when I get home

Indeed. Also, one of my students last year may have creeped me out even more making me read the Ben Drowned mess on CreepyPasta. Don't even care that that shit's fake - those videos scare the bejeezus outta me.
