Who is Online?

Just a couple thoughts on viewing who is online. I know many players enjoy viewing the thread anonymously, while some of us don't care if people know we're online.
My suggestion/idea: Would it be more ideal to limit who can view other online players to just those who allow themselves to be seen online. Would that be more fair? Does it make a difference? Thoughts?

Um I don't see that it makes a difference.

I don't like when people use it in games. for example "So and so was viewing the thread ALL day and said nothing." I tend to leave tabs open and forget about them. It is why I am hidden

I wouldn't bring such arguments on the table in a game and I wouldn't like others to, either. I already had this problem once in a game.

I think it should be left the way it is.

Is it considered bad form to reference it?
If I see someone browsing the game thread, especially someone who doesn't post much in the game, I do like to ask their thoughts, in the hopes they see a brand new post directed at them. Otherwise, I'm not sure if they will comment. I find it a fair thing to do since I don't hide my online status.

People do that all the time, and I don't see anything wrong with it.
