Recruitment Mafia 4: Dawn of the Clans
We left off the world here:Unlikely Victors
Serenity the Technomagus walked through the small crowd that had gathered, and it quickly parted around her in deference and respect, and Chief Advisor Tenquist followed closely, as always. The people had gathered to see the spectacle, but had not dared to get too close. Serenity passed the front ranks of onlookers and into the centre, where Typhoony, Matahari, and DisgruntledPorcupine stood, swords still drawn, over DFaraday's dead body. They sheathed their weapons as Serenity approached, and nodded in deference to her.
"You did not have to kill him," Serenity remarked. "The Nesting Doll is - was - a unique ally to have. He was important to me, I owe my life to him."
"Perhaps," said Typhoony indifferently. "But he was not inclined to ally himself with us, and so he had to go."
"And if I do not feel so inclined?" Serenity arched an eyebrow.
"Great Technomagus," said DP, dropping to one knee after shooting Typhoony a look. "We would never wish to stand against you."
"So long as you don't wish to stand against us," smirked Matahari.
Serenity turned to her, narrowing her eyes. "And what if I do wish this? What are your swords going to do against me?"
"Not our swords," replied Mata. "This." She held up the Data Cube of Erlatz, now in her custody as the last member of the Sons of the Ultramorph. "We've been studying this thing for some time now, and we've learned... a great deal from it. A great deal."
"We could send you somewhere far away," said Typhoony. "Far enough away that we would never have to worry about seeing you ever again!"
"Enough!" snapped DisgruntledPorcupine. "Things aren't going to happen that way, brother!" Typhoony rolled his eyes, and DP turned to Serenity once again. "We have agreed that you are not to be harmed, great Technomagus. You are the greatest thing that has happened to this realm, and they will need you here to recover from this war."
"Give me the Data Cube," Serenity's tone expected no argument.
Typh and Mata looked at each other incredulously, and DisgruntledPorcupine quickly answered, "Uh, no can do, Serenity." He seemed slightly embarrassed to be denying her. "We're going to hold on to it... we're actually going to do some travelling!"
Serenity arched an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Typhoony stepped forward, coming face to face with her. "That's right. We choose to let you keep ruling here, because, basically, we have better things to do. There are worlds out there to explore, adventures to seek!"
Serenity met his gaze unflinchingly. "You still reek of your master, Beelzebub," she said with disgust.
"Not anyone's master anymore!" Typh said jovially, backing away with his arms outspread. "The Musketeers are the ones in charge now, clearly!" As he spoke, Matahari activated the Data Cube, and a doorway opened in midair beside them.
"Ready to go?" she asked, stashing the Cube once again. "I, for one, can't wait to see what's out there!" She tipped her hat and leapt through the portal.
"Good luck here, Technomagus!" DisgruntledPorcupine gave one last bow to the great leader. "I know that you'll rule justly, as always!" He followed Mata through the portal.
Typhoony smirked one last time, and looked into Serenity's glowing eyes, feeling great satisfaction that she had nothing left to say. "Remember us, Serenity," he stepped one foot through the portal, "And always remember, too..."
He flashed one last evil grin before leaving the plane forever. "We won."
The game has ended. The Musketeers have won Recruitment Mafia III! Team Beelzebub has been eliminated! Team Ultramorph has been eliminated! Team Serenity has been eliminated!
Generations had passed since The Musketeers set out across the Multiverse, and Serenity the Technomagus ruled the realm in relative peace and tranquility. As the centuries passed, however, her organic parts slowly began to atrophy, with more and more needing to be replaced by Lifeforce-infused circuitry. With it, her interest in the concerns of humanity and the trivial matters of mortality waned, and she grew more and more distant. Serenity's direct involvement with the affairs of ruling was seldom, if ever, needed... the systems and councils she had in place took care of running the realm.
One day, Serenity was simply gone...
As always Recruitment is a game for many and we will not limit the amount of people that can sign up. We can't run the game with under 30 and we prefer 40 or more. All players will start with a role, a clan, and no alignment. That is all players except the FOUR. In this game we will have FOUR group leaders. This is not a new concept with this game. The change here is we will have two leaders on the side of good and two leaders on the side of evil.
