I think it was the winning move, actually.
Wish we had successfully lynched TH on day one then we might have won, I bet Rico is an expert scumhunter.

I always want the mafia to win.
TH wasn't even close to getting lynched Day 1, wasn't I the only one who voted for him?

Thanks for the game, by the way, Epi! And sorry to my team for not playing so great.
While a very intriguing idea, this type of game is just NOT for me, personally. The posting restriction was way too limiting.

It's funny - I (also a high poster) found the opposite - that the 4 post limit was overwhelming, because I was basically trying to use every post to say what I'd normally get out through all my posts in a single day.MovingPictures07 wrote:Thanks for the game, by the way, Epi! What I should have done, though... was take one vote on the chin and used one more post to respond to DH's allegation that it was 'last day fuckery' - which for me cemented the fact he was bad. I could have taken the vote, knowing DH had already voted for hedge, but I didn't think it through.
(I would have been all out for you tomorrow, DH, but I also have a feeling I would have been NKed if we'd successfully lynched splints).

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
good game guys !:) Neverwhere you did great, didn't suspect you haha
perhaps as a twist to the existing format, we could make the limit related to roles? as in, you can post as much as you want, but only about ONE particular character at a time. that would still steer the conversation towards a specific direction without limiting people's freedom to contribute.

Epignosis, if you were to create another game like this, is there anything you would change? I'm curious how it all panned out from your point of view.
Linki: Yeah Golden, I was starting to come on to DH. I managed to let myself get distracted though. And of course, my vote was the clincher.

Epi - I'd definitely play again. I'd be more relaxed about how much content I had. And I'd support a modkill for anyone who posts more than 4 times, MM found the loophole in your rules far too quickly.
Also, if I could change one thing, it would be the number of players. It plays as fast as a speed game anyway, I think you could definitely do it with 20-25. I think you almost need the time with so few posts per day.

At that point, I was confident we'd already won. I figured Tiny Bubbles wouldn't vote, and worst case scenario it would be 3-3. The funny thing for me was sending in the kills in order to change the poll times to throw people off. That should have been an indicator of my guilt at least, that I was always/mostly on point with posting/voting.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
I don't mean that in a hostile way or that Epignosis doesn't know how to run a game, or something like that. Quite the contrary. But if the rules allow for a certain activity or behavior, I am happy to engage in it. I wasn't being an asshat (I don't think?) I wasn't pseudo-role outing or info-dropping. I realize the spirit of the game was to enforce the idea of quality over quantity in our posts, but I'm not a spirited mafia player. I'm a demon.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Well, aside from that little part?Epignosis wrote:I would change one thing: You get modkilled for posting over 4.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Epignosis, if you were to create another game like this, is there anything you would change? Best thing about being a lawyer whose primary responsibility is drafting...
When I design a game, I am always thinking of demon rodents and what exploits they might find, and I do think very carefully about the wording of my rule drafting!

I'm particularly proud that I found a way to improve this game.
-Didn't tunnel on Golden, was right not to.
-Managed to sort him and Long Con out before I went nuts on them.
-Caught MP07's forced response quick, responded late.
I definitely liked this format. If it's cool, I may run this at JTM sometime.

You played well, and I was concerned you might eventually turn your attentions to me.Missing Person wrote:I'm particularly proud that I found a way to improve this game.
-Didn't tunnel on Golden, was right not to.
-Managed to sort him and Long Con out before I went nuts on them.
-Caught MP07's forced response quick, responded late.
I definitely liked this format. If it's cool, I may run this at JTM sometime.

I honestly never had a scumread on you. I should've pushed based on LC's suspicion of you once I felt he was cleared. But it never came to mind for me, so that's 100% hindsight.

I'm also glad I did not tunnel on you Missing. In fact I did a remarkably good job of not tunnelling on anyone for once (civ or bad). That's rare.

On a more serious note:Epignosis wrote:You don't have to explain yourself, you little fucking demon rodent from hell.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I don't mean that in a hostile way or that Epignosis doesn't know how to run a game, or something like that. Bitches be tryna make me count an' shit.
That's what I'm here for. Hosts ain't gonna learn if we don't bend the rules. :PGolden wrote:Epi - I'd definitely play again.
Which means I'm gonna have to take extra care to specify the rules in games I run.
Do you think the 4 post 'limit' was the right number? Do you think it benefited one side more than the other, regardless of what actually happened in the game? Did the game pan out similarly or differently than you imagined, and are you happy with the result?

Yeah, Epi, are you happy with that totally unfair and discriminatory result? Answer!

I would definitely play a second round of this, and I would definitely maybe take it more seriously next time.
