I love it. It has such a clear aesthetic.
I also like your nervous horse, vomps.
Epi, you should draw all your roles from now on.

I think acrosstheaether makes some exceptional artwork.
Not I.

I can only imagine the amount of work it took to draw and color all those flowers. That's awesome.

Jean-Paul Riopelle.... I think this is a close-up of a larger painting... but just look at that. How do you paint like that? Insane.

Here's something I whipped together with my son James. The colours weren't really by choice... they were the only oils left from a bunch that were stored in the garage, and mice got into them. We wanted to play with layering and texture a little, but the condition of the paints made it difficult.... need to get some new paints and try it again.

Me too.
But we have 7 more canvasses, so we'll see where this experience goes.

You're right Quin - it puts me in mind of the Half Blood Prince - the lake where Dumbledore and Harry go to get the locket.

Here's a random splattery thing I made as sort of an underpainting:
And a couple of alterations in Photoshop of it:

I downloaded the movie, and found a shot of him that I liked, and I Photoshopped him on to use as a guide. I penciled him in lightly, then painted.

Here's another one from tonight. Poured painting that I worked back into to enhance what I saw (the figure) from the randomness.

Long Con why can't I see any of your paintings? There is just a gray round circle with a white dash in the middle. I'm sure they are awesome.

Damn, I poured this on top of a bunch of wooden hexagons with the intention to cut them out when it's dry... now I love it very much and I'm sad I have to cut it up:
Oh geez, I can see a legit phoenix in there!

Maybe... it's on a plastic lid though. A lid from a container that has stuff in it... supposed to go back when I'm done.

I went to my son Tyler's Beaver colony last week to do a poured painting session with them... bunch of 5 - 7-year-olds. Went great... Tyler's was really awesome, pictured above:

Yeah, I took a bunch of paints and little canvasses in, and some examples of previous pours:
, and they each made at least one... a couple of them did more than one. Here's some photos, so many great ones! They choose the colours, and they tilt the canvas to flow the poured paint around.
