Day 4: Poker Tournament

RULES AND PROCEDURES - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (7:00PM - 10:00PM EST)
• The rules are standard Texas Hold 'Em. There is an opening round of bets, then the flop, then another round of betting, then the turn, then another round of betting, then the river, and a final round of betting, before the reveal and declaration of the winner.
• All players must perform their action (open, call, fold) in the order of the participants presented above. No player can take his or her turn until the player whose turn is currently in session is complete.
• Any player who wishes to cash out with his or her current amount of chips must post that he or she is doing so at the end of the hand after the winner has been declared. There is a 5 minute period between hands which is designated for cash outs; declarations for cash outs must be made during those 5 minutes before the start of the next hand. If you cash out, you can still re-enter at any time, and then cash out again later.
• Ante is 2 chips at the start of every hand and is mandatory for all participants.
• "Small Blind" is an additional 2 chips.
• "Big Blind" is an additional 4 chips. Consequently, the minimum bet is 4 chips.
• Hands and draws will be generated randomly and PMed to you by me.
• The number of hands to be played is determined by how many hands can be completed within the time frame, as little as 1 or as many as ?
• Once a player runs out of chips (highly not suggested), they can no longer participate, even if before 10:00PM EST Sunday.
• Most importantly, this thread is for poker turns/declarations. It is NOT for any other kind of discussion, which should take place in the main game thread as usual.

Quick question....you say every hand we ante 2 chips. Are we allowed to sit out hands entirely without the ante, or once we are in we are in until we cash out?

You only ante 2 chips for every hand you are in. So, if, for example, you wanted to play Hands 1 and 2, but then you wanted to cash out, you could do so -- sit out Hand 3 without contributing any ante, and then jump back in as early as Hand 4 if you wish.

You can cash out and jump back in as many times as you wish. It's more of a casino type setting in that regard.
