Replacements

Only one question...
Yeah I definitely prefer dead replacement over modkilling. I'm not super 100% opposed to dead replacement if it's the only option but I prefer that it be avoided if possible.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:Ranked by how preferable they'd be, most preferable to least:
1. Replacement is someone new
2. Replacement is a dead unrecruitee
3. Modkill

I echo both of these sentiments exactly.Turnip Head wrote:I'm fine with dead unrecruited players subbing back in if it can't be avoided, BUT I think their original role should be revealed to the entire thread so everyone has equal info.
This, but I would prefer a regular replacement first.Turnip Head wrote:I'm fine with dead unrecruited players subbing back in if it can't be avoided, BUT I think their original role should be revealed to the entire thread so everyone has equal info.
A strange concept, not one we have been considering as far as I know.Metalmarsh89 wrote:What about dead unrecruited players replacing back in as sock puppets?
Not one I've seen before either. Theoretically, it would hide the identity of the replacer, but I guess that might might not be necessary.Long Con wrote:A strange concept, not one we have been considering as far as I know.Metalmarsh89 wrote:What about dead unrecruited players replacing back in as sock puppets?
Did you stop watching Roger Rabbit? I won that game as a dead player subbing in as a sock puppet.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Not one I've seen before either. That's where I got the idea from. But yes, yours was a little different in that you were more accurately "rezzed" rather than "replacing" another player.Golden wrote:Did you stop watching Roger Rabbit? Still, in that game everyone knew it was a dead player subbing in, I think I won a contest. I think people would actually prefer it to know who is subbing in.
True, that was a rez into a sock, but I had forgotten about Lena Hyena!Metalmarsh89 wrote:That's where I got the idea from. S~V~S wrote:For me it is also a question of fairness. I have dead subbed, and unless one changes affiliation totally, you can't help but bring your prejudices from your first life back into the game. The only times i was able to start with a clean slate was in a game like BoB, where I totally changed affiliation upon return, and therefore HAD to lose the preconceived notions about who was who behind me.
Modkilling is hard, especially so, I would imagine, for Black Rock who has back stories for ALL if these roles, like they are her kids or pets or proteges. She loves them. So unless we do some heavy recruiting for a game like this (Hey Bea, get BDH in here) dead subbing is a necessary evil.
