I'm highly disappointed that Greedo doesn't have a power that gives him 10 credits if he votes before Han, and vice versa. Shame on your both.

Okay thanks since I'm a glutton for punishment I will sign up for this game. Looks like a fun theme and am curios about how the credit thing will play out in game.

I wanna join, but I need to know whether there is any chance this game will be still going by the time the new year starts.

Because I'll be on a trip during the first week of January, and will likely be unable to play at the time.

That would only happen if it takes a month to fill up, and I don't anticipate that being the case.

Would love to have you.

Ok I'll sign up. But if this starts taking too long to begin, I might have to drop out.

It's just that I'd hate to have to ask to be replaced on day 10 or so.

Haha, that is true! I will admit that Epi and DH as hosts, as well as how awesome the player list is already shaping up, are both tempting. Nonetheless, I've been on a break from playing mafia since I had to sub out of Recruitment Mafia IV a few months back, since I found getting suspected way too stressful amid all of my PhD work. I also had been playing at least one game practically nonstop for quite some time. The break has been treating me well, but I've still been trying to keep in touch with everyone here and concentrating more on admin duties and occasionally hosting instead.

At the moment, I am still hosting Talking Heads Mafia, a crossover game between this site and RateYourMusic mafia, which has been rewarding but quite exhausting as well.

All of that to say I just don't think I'll have the emotional energy and time to play and do the game justice, unfortunately, and I'm not sure I want to take any breaks from my playing break just yet. The only time I considered doing so would be this coming December since winter break is the only official break I get from PhD. We'll see.

At the very least, I'll at least pop in every once in a while to spectate. :srsnod:

You want to sign up for Star Wars Mafia. It involves financial elements.

Why don't you just include Imperial currency in the game?

You can tax people that miss votes.
You can tax people that self-vote.
You can offer rewards to players who make it to Day 5.
You can even tax players that misuse the word WIFOM.

Think of the possibilities (oh and MP will play).

I have some questions about the game:

- For each of the mafia teams, will the three members know the identity of their fourth member who does not share BTSC, and vice versa?
- Will dead players be able to win alongside their faction, or must players be alive to win?
- Are votes changeable?
- What are the Participation standards for this game (if any)?

I'm sure these would otherwise be asked once the game starts, so now they don't have to be. :mafia:

I think we have to nail down specifics between me and Epi on what we want to do with participation standards, but if you know me you know that I will have very high standards.

I've seen the first one, once, when I was ten or eleven, and it didn't do much for me. Then a few years later I saw part of Return of the Jedi on television and gave it the amount of attention you normally give a film that's been edited for commercial breaks. Then fast forward about a year and a half I went with two friends to see The Phantom Menace re-release in 3D to make fun of it, which was to date the best Star Wars experience I've had. I've seen the trailer for Episode VII and it looks like it could be good, though I have not seen anything from J.J. Abrams. I've seen bits of The Empire Strikes Back over the years and I think I would like it, but I've never gotten around to seeing it. If there's any franchise with the word "star" in it that I feel a personal attachment to, it would definitely be Star Fox, and even then it's just the two games on the Gamecube that I've played, though I do love them both.

I would sign up for this in a heartbeat but I feel like it should be reserved at least primarily for fans, or at least people that have seen all the movies; I shall be a replacement instead.

I think I can speak for most people when I say I don't see any issue with you signing up to play if you aren't a fan or even never seen the movies. It isn't critical to the game play and if you think the roles/themes are interesting even if you haven't seen the movie then I don't think it will be an issue.
Know it is up to you, but I wouldn't have an issue with you signing up even if you aren't a fan of the movies. As long as you don't try to lynch me.

I know what you mean, I'm just under the assumption that this will fill up regardless. If it doesn't fill up soon then I'll switch my vote to yes.
