Boomslang is my top town read.Sloonei wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 7:33 pm I think Boomslang is the best suspect to emerge from Day 1. The way he tried to frame me as bad felt errant and shady, his vote for sig was weakly justified, and daisy's gripe about his treatment of INH is a valid criticism as well, I believe. Let's talk about him a little.

Went with Jack. C’mon dude, you gotta show up.
Are you looking to catch baddies or to place a vote nobody can blame you for? Doesn’t look like the former.
If I was the button, I’d lynch myself because that role ruined The Plan (tm). Why did you want to lynch the button?
Also, I see Sig and Sloonei as potential w/w.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 1
Heya Scotty. I tend to keep track of games via the “your posts” page and I didn’t have any posts on this thread cause it was locked when I got my role pm.
Yesterday, I was busy catching Dratinis and watching Fellowship of the Ring and of course Fire Emblem.
Today, I was watching two young kids whike my wife slept because I can sleep while sprawled over a desk in the middle of a orchestra rehearsal and my wife needs an exact temperature and lead up massages and absolute silence to get a good nights sleep so I was being nice. (My wife does different nice things.) The rest of the day was filled with chores and *redacted* and *censored*.
Your turn. Why did you want to lynch the button? What do you think of INH?

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 1
Let’s talk about Boomslang.
Here, though he’s not given credit for it, Boomslang comes in with one of the few reasoned votes.
Sloonei is making shit up, as per usual. (This isn’t problematic when he is town but might be so when he’s mafia.) Scotty is being lazy. Idk when Sig is even doing but it isn’t protown. INH is being hypocritical and opportunistic. I don’t even remember the other players voting at all and I read the thread today.

You and I are on the same page, haha. Fair enough I think my issue is, what do we talk about, if we don't have anything to talk about?
I liked Daisy's comment about INH's reaction being more civ than baddie. Or, rather, that it's logical frustration. Indicative of alignment for her? No. But I agree with her in this respect.
I should vote. I'm voting non-poster, and that would be [VOTE: Jackofhearts2005] aubergine right now.
Linki - Not so much a case on Jack as he's not posted, and it's the friggin' GoC. Hopefully, however, he's all right IRL.
I was super active in Blooper’s game, outposted her by a mile in any games we’ve played together and have been posting daily for months.
Why not @ mention me? Why go for an “inactive” so early?
Not nearly as bad as INH but I’m not really a fan. I don’t have this same problem with Scotty’s vote against me. (I have different problems with it.)
If my gut read on Sig being bad is true, this could be a save. Almost too obvious. Not confident enough to push a Sig lynch anyhow.
Call this low yellow, high orange.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 1
Three and one of them has good IVs. So of course my wife only caught one and that's a problem.
Why did I transfer one of my shinies? I could have had a pink Dratini and a pink Dragonite.
I don't like Sloonei too much this game but it's well documented that I can tunnel good Sloonei and fully trust bad Sloonei. Supposedly, I've identified good Sloonei but did I really? (Laugh it up, pirate salt shaker thing. You've earned it.)
I'm good with this response. Scotty clearly doesn't know about the button. Even if he's bad and was told later, this jives with his initial questioning about the button. (To recap, the issue is that the button is not harmful to the town necessarily. If he's good, he didn't know so this questioning is NAI. If he's bad, he didn't know at the time so it's still NAI. NAI depending on alignment. This is 4d mafia. ) FYI, the button scrambles the roles and players. It can't be a town role because I maintain that the primes were the town but it's not a scum role, either. A good townie wouldn't push the button but a frustrated one or one with less self control that I might.Scotty wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 10:30 amAre you the button? I think INH is back in the middle ground for me. He blended in, got defensive and made sense in his defensiveness (day 1). And then hasn’t done any more digging since. I expect more out of him tomorrow?
What do you think about INH going after an "inactive" so soon after fumbling the ball in Fellowship by being confirmed town but leading no lynches and in fact not even voting at MYLO? (I fumbled too but not for lack of trying to move the ball.)

I feel like this is in the rules somewhere.
When you die and get a new role, we don’t know alignment may be different, yeah? That is, could it be an okay thing to get lynched as mafia?
Are roles assigned randomly as first and second roles? That is, could there be only one mafia in this tribe?
Anyone besides Marmot feel like self voting?

I don’t think the mafia kills one of their own on night 1.
We should lynch players twice if we seriously think they’re bad. Played a game like this on the realms and there were some wasted phases lynching the first of a player’s roles for basically no info and then leaving them alive for several days.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Consider: If this game has standard numbers, scum need twice the nightkills/mislynches to win and the only real advantage they have is they need to be lynched twice.Sloonei wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 1:44 amAgreed on the second point. Not so sure on the first. I didn't suspect Blooper 1.0 and I have no specific reason to start doing so now. But I think it's worth considering that the baddies would have killed one of their own off the bat. The WIFOM is super juicy in a move like that.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 1:40 am I don’t think the mafia kills one of their own on night 1.

I do not wish to lynch blooper today.
Also I take it there was only a single nightkill between the two threads, just as there was a single shared lynch.
If I was scum, the very last thing I’d do is give up that advantage in order to make the disadvantage even worse. What I’d get out of it is WIFOM so juicy that the first time it is pointed out, Sloonei calls it a good strategy.
One can criticize me for choosing the win in front of me too often. As a whole, the Syndicate tends to choose the wine in front of the other guy very often. That makes it far less juicy.

I don’t think INH is blendy. I’ve played maybe 3 games with Lorab and have no real feel for their meta cause they’re usually pretty quiet and/or die early. I don’t feel like mislynching Sig or Wilgy again. I’ll let the Sig suspicion ride. I see no reason to vote Blooper or Boomslang, both of whom I believe are town.

Since I’ve talked about mostly everyone...
Marmot is null and likely catchable if bad and mislynched sometimes if good. Let it be for now.
Kyle is sick. Let it be for now. Did I tell him he wasn’t shiney in MK? Could be important for this game. Letting this be cause he’s sick.

Come out and say things. I don’t have a read on you yet.
Scotty feels like town Scotty. Idk if I’ve seen bad Scotty though so this may be a worthless statement. I’ll still put him green on the board.

I see Sloonei’s Sig posts as distancing. Sig is often lynched early as town. I can only assume he’d be lynched early as mafia. By “distancing” I mean “accusing without trying to get lynched” or “throwing shade while seeking alternatives.” Kid gloves.

I didn't particularly like either of the bandwagons, and they both felt like just that, so I didn't want to vote there, because I didn't trust them. I didn't like how Sloonei totally switcherooed on Sig, and how he seemed to be going after every name that came up--it seemed opportunistic. Was it enough for a vote later in the game? No. But I had to vote somewhere, and it raised my eyebrow enough that I voted there.Boomslang wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 1:44 pm
I also have an eyeball on Lorab right now. "Ugh. I have no idea where to vote. I don't actually suspect anyone" at the end of Day 1 is so noncommittal, then she votes Sloonei for "peer pressure" and the active voices in the thread don't really get on her for that lack of reasoning. She then jumps in, first post of Day 2, to begin the WIFOM about me and the Blooper kill.
Day 2, you were being discussed, and I thought I'd raise that point, which hadn't yet been mentioned.
I guess I can see how those things might seem suspicious, but I'm not bad.
Also, throwing out there: tomorrow night begins the Jewish holiday in which we cosplay while eating cookies and getting drunk (yes, that really is the holiday--we also have a carnival for it). Which is much fun, but much work. And our synagogue has 3 different celebrations for it, over the next several days. I also have jury duty on Thursday. So, my time will be wonky over the next 5 days. Just giving fair warning.
So in summary:
-you have no suspects, even though you mention Sloonei as opportunistic.
-you’re not bad because you’re not bad
I’m ok with my vote staying on you.
Would you vote Sloonei now, since that’s the only read you’re offering?
Hey Jackofhearts2005 what if it wasn’t a sig / Sloonei team but a LoRab / Sloonei team? Note how Sloonei votes LoRab for no reason but doesn’t substantiate it and removes it on a whim so he can look back later and say “Hey, I voted her on day 2 guys look!”
I feel like sig and Sloonei may have just had an odd spat because you can’t say odd without sigodd
Just a thought..

Spoiler: show
2) Wert? About? I null read you. You were caught in MK. I’ve had confident town reads of you before. I’ve seen you mislynched early. This is different from Wilgy being Wilgy or Sig being Sig. I don’t want to lynch them for being themselves. I just don’t want to lynch you early cause I think I can eventually figure you out. All that is loud is not town. See MK Sloonei, MU Champs 2015 Roman Augustus, every bad Jimmy, every bad Jack, every bad Epi.
3) I ISOed Sloonei for Sig connections, then did the same for Sig but got kinda bored of it. I never said I didn’t suspect Sig. That post was documentation, not a turn.

You’re inadvertently making the point opposite of the one you’re trying to make.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 1:39 pmYour second point is exactly my point. I spent all of Day 1 begging people to post. I wasn't nearly that aggressive in LotR, nor would I want to be.

Lorab.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 2:03 pmIf you pursue them both independently, assuming I'm town, which is more suspicious?Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 1:56 pmIdk. Maybe Lorab?
Both my Sig and Lorab suspicion are somewhat tied to my Sloonei suspicion. Sig moreso.

At this point, I’m pretty open to cases cause nobody is following me.
Do we have a player list for the other tribe?

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 2
Sloonei pressing the button in CC123 ruined the plan and took away my favorite Syndicate role ever. I hate the button.
But I’d never actually self vote unless there was some advantage to it like if I had a revenge kill and was tied with my mason partner for votes. Probably never gonna happen.

Who wants to bet that their thread is twice as long as ours by the end of Day 1?
Man, I wanna be on that thread.
I’m kidding. I love you all equally. But I wanna play with SVS when I’m not bad. Least I don’t have to worry about Speedchuck one way or the other.

You don’t understand it or you disagree with it?Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2018 3:29 pm Ok, I just caught up on everything from my last post to the end, now I need to catch up on the stuff before that I missed, lol.
At the moment, I don't understand why Sloonei is getting any suspicion.
But then I don't really get any of the cases right now. I still only feel a mild ping of Boomslang and I would want to do an ISO of him before I see if my feelings about him from Day 1 have changed.
Wow, lots of linki.
Tell me about your opinions on my Sloonei/Sig w/w case.
