Awesome where'd you go for vacation? I'm on vacation next week.

My husband's family's lake house up in Alabama and my parents in another part of Alabama. We do this trip several times a year. All our family is up here.

I don't see Dom's post as bad here. Oh no, first impression reads! I know some people are good at sussing out mafia by finger pointing early based on little evidence or weak evidence but I am not one of those. I haven't seen enough about anyone to point a finger, there just isn't a lot of behavior yet. I don't see anyone I consider bad yet for early pointing as I know that is a technique to get discussion going.

What you think about Oreki and Dom and Quin? I found Oreki strange, when he null read drago and explains how he suddenly leans to suspect me, which would mean that he forms an interaction with Drago. he didn't give me mafia vibes, because in some way I was townreading him at first glance, but he didn't properly interact with you in order to set the wagon on me, so this indicated nothing good for me, at first thought it was "only indies would play like this", i rolled indie alot myself and I evaluated this playstyle. maybe he is just too careful or he could be bad.

This ^ ^sums up how I'm feeling right now. I am having a hard time following all these arguments between Drago/Orecki/Rej. Maybe it's because I haven't played with any of you very much so I am not yet familiar with your style.

Random thoughts:

As for Nova, he threw out what I thought was an obvious joke giving first impression reads of people who hadn't even posted. It was a variation of something I've seen before when he has been civ, first impression reads. His series of one line posts at the beginning is something else I've seen him do as a civ. Also he has been asking questions which I like. Nova is a good player and may be able to mimic his civ style when bad, but right now I'm leaning good.

This "slip" people are talking about with Rej, the statement - "How can I ensure you, me being town?" doesn't seem like a slip to me. I think it is obvious he means "How can I assure you that I am town". Someone help me out here, why is this a slip? Is this the main issue with Rej or are there other indicators that show him as bad?

[mention]Long Con[/mention], I don't understand your vote for Quin. Could you talk a little bit about that?

Epi, can you talk about why you voted for Tony? Maybe I missed it and if so just tell me and I'll go back and find it.

I am going to start ISOing Drago, Rej, and Orecki to see if I can get a better handle on their arguments.

I don't know why you are seeing people who haven't voted as bad. When it's early in a game I rarely vote before the last couple of hours. I haven't determined who is suspicious yet, I am reading ISOs today to help me determine where to place my vote.

I don't know how to read all the players I have not played with much including you but I am trying. Epi was right on when he said you should ask some questions of people, get their thoughts in this game. Just because some of us have played together for awhile doesn't mean we totally know each other's game style. Epi for example is notoriously hard to read because he changes his style up often. I have misread Long Con more often than I have read him correctly, and I've played with him for @10 years.

I can understand some dependence on someone else's reads, I think we've all done that at one time or another but not developing any suspicions on your own to me is suspicious.

Ok? I already know that. I've already eliminated Oreki from being a baddy in my head as he's been game-solving, but he's like the only one. Tho, you can be eliminated too if you keep it up.

Btw, I don't Creature is that bad. I understand where you're coming from with the questioning but his posts are so atrociously bad and so damn straightforward with not wanting to do much or bring attention to himself that i just can't see him being scum.

Thanks for your opinion Drago. Maybe you are right but I still have a queasy feeling about him.

I'm still looking at some others but as I read you, Oreki, Rej I'm not seeing big things that make me think "mafia". I see some weird things in Rej but I can't tell if I am just misunderstanding him or he just makes odd posts or those posts are indicative of him being bad. I'm trying to sort through that now.

I have to revisit the Oreki/Nova thing but I can tell you that overall I am leaning town on them both. I'll give you a more specific answer though after I've read through it. I did not read you as bad when I read your ISO but I need to pay closer attention to what nova said about you because of my town lean on him. I haven't read Quin yet but will do. So I owe you a more specific answer.

By the way, while I'm thinking about it - and this is addressed to everyone - I will more than likely not be at EOD tonight as I'm with family and that is our dinnertime. I'm going to have that problem until I get home late Monday night.

Regarding Oreki vs. Nova, I have re-read their interactions 3 times and I'm not sure what Oreki's point is other than nova's push at Drago "isn't nice":

Regarding Nova's suspicion of you [mention]Dragomir[/mention] the dialogue between you two seems to be centered on whether Rej was joking in his response to Nova's gth pre-posting activity. I am just not finding enough meat on that bone to make me suspect either of you. If there is more to it that I am somehow missing please let me know. I have seen Nova go after civs before early on (in fact he did it to me when I was civ in another game) so I'm really not too concerned about it. I'm also not convinced though by his suspicions to be suspicious of you.

Hmm I've been sleeping on it for a bit, it's not sudden. I don't like the default series of read that led him to suspect Creature. Most of the reads were uninspiring, and I feel like he was giving town reads like candy. Most of the recipients were the people getting vote and the center of most discussions, he's kind of just brushing them as an attempt to avoid the thick of it I guess. The push on Creature is in the same vein. It's a pretty arbitrary, looks like he's just trying to have something resembling initiative going on and park his vote somewhere. The playful tone and bland questions doesn't speak to me as trying to figure someone out. He's starting from the ground up, it doesn't feel like he suspected Creature and then started to question him to get a better grasp on him, but rather threw a dart on a wall, Creature's name came up and he went along with it lol. I don't think that how apathetic Creature was posting was a coincidence in his choice.

You've read all the ISOs right? What are your thoughts on him?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was not well thought out. I understand how something simmers and becomes a suspicion.

As I said to Epi, I have no idea of what Quin case he's talking about. His posts come off to me as rather bland and not digging and he hasn't posted at all today which I don't see as a good sign (neither have a couple of other people though). I guess I have kinda ignored him because there wasn't a lot there and others have posted oodles of things.

I have been dwelling on Epi's post about Tony's Creature post and I have to say I see exactly what he means. Tony seemed to go through eliminating people until he was left with Creature but a lot of people were left out of that deductive process so it seems flawed. I also agree with you that he doesn't seem to be trying to figure Creature out - he just landed there and went with it.

So with that said, I do find him suspicious. I don't know anything about how analytical he normally is but I'm feeling pretty good about Epi and he says this is uncharacteristic. He tops my list at the moment.

I’m voting for you because you wrote off the majority of D1 for no real reason and you voted both Creature and Tony for reasoning that was barely present.

I don't see how my reasoning for Creature was barely present. I compared his posting in this game to two games where he was civ and one game where he was bad and decided this game looked more like the bad game.

But this is the last thing I can find that Oreki posted about Nova so I don't have a good grasp on why he is still voting for him other than maybe he just hasn't made up his mind where to move his vote. Oreki's posts are really long though so I might have missed somewhere a decision and a reason to stay on Nova.

I do have one question for @novaselinenever coming out of that read. Nova, you said you didn't believe Oreki didn't like your push on Drago. What made you think he didn't not like your pus? (Geez that's worded awkwardly)

Regarding Nova's suspicion of you @Dragomir the dialogue between you two seems to be centered on whether Rej was joking in his response to Nova's gth pre-posting activity. I am just not finding enough meat on that bone to make me suspect either of you. If there is more to it that I am somehow missing please let me know. I have seen Nova go after civs before early on (in fact he did it to me when I was civ in another game) so I'm really not too concerned about it. I'm also not convinced though by his suspicions to be suspicious of you.

From my memory, 80% of D1 was an asstastic fight between you, Rej and Draco wherein you all looked terrible but not teamed. Then you started looking better later.

The last 20% was Juliets and Sabie going “Gah idk” and ignoring the scummy players. Iirc, LC saying they were both town (need to check this) and then four players voting Tony for basically no reason.

Mac just feels really town. I expect town Mac to aggressively (in tone, not necessarily volume) players I scumread. He is aggressively pursuing Drago, a player I scumread.

This is my last post defending myself to you Jack but if you really think I said the equivalent of "Gah idk" then you need to re-read my ISO.

Hmmm doing that gth he was the only one I was convinced of. I remember suspecting him D1 for all the dubious reasons he was town-reading people and the 'push' on Quin. I hated how he highjacked Oreki's post and grilled Quin for the observation that me and Drago weren't w/w. I don't remember him responding to my inquiry about how exactly Quin was manipulating us with it when he was voting Drago and basically just didn't think we were teammate for the way I pushed him. Felt like a reasonable take.

No, but I think it's pretty evident that we had a mislynch because we got diverted from the Mac train. I should have went with my gut.

I'm not sure how much time I will have between work and EOD so I am going to vote now for Long Con for self preservation. I will at least have time to check in before EOD so this vote may change.

Since I have to go to work soon and will be gone until mid-afternoon, I just want to address one more time the things that I've been labeled suspicious for:

3. Allegedly, I was spicy toward Jack. I was indeed spicy toward Jack, his suspicion of me doesn't feel right. And lingering in my mind is the last time he went at me like this when I was civ he was bad. At any rate, being spicy is not the same as being bad.

Maybe there are other reasons I'm suspected. [mention]novaselinenever[/mention] has not replied to my question from yesterday morning about what makes him think I am bad. [mention]Long Con[/mention] voted me without giving reasons and despite the fact that I figured out Mac was civ and told him he should change his vote from him. Note Mac was my leading competition for the lynch.

If there are other reasons I would like those stated so I can respond to them. Hopefully there is time when I get back on this afternoon.
