Regaining the title from the thief who stole it.
And that's enough Spartacus for today. Nice to meet you too!

I found it bad that MP called me out for giving meta information on a player that nobody else knew anything about. Like why wouldn't I offer this information unprompted? Especially when it might not be common knowledge that we're from the same site.
Well, it looked more like a 'no you' post after he called you out. About your initial post, it was more the tone of it than the information shared that rubbed me wrong. I appreciate the info given but it felt like you were over excited to talk about it. Forced. A premeditated post. Something baddies often do to appear helpful.

@novaselinenever where is your head at right now? What do you think of the people who are voting for you and do you have any other reads to share?
I don't have much Turnip so far. Haven't seen much from him or at least nothing caught my eye. I'll iso his posts after catching up.
MacDougall is one of my strongest Town read atm. I've like his posts since he arrived and he was asking the right questions and making the right observations unlike you where most of your questions felt hollow and there was no follow up. I especially liked his interactions with Golden.
Sig is someone I haven't like so far since his initial posts. Some of his posts pinged me where he appeared to not have any stance at all. Seemed like he was intentionally being careful and not being genuine. One post in particular where he played the two sides by agreeing with Dunya's read iirc but also not liking her post. It was a weird one and iirc it was flagged by a few other players.
He also flip-flopped in an interesting manner. I recall him painting me as a quiet Town and thus gave me a Town read earlier based on meta. However his reasons for voting me was because I and I quote " often coast as scum on NF " . So that feels like a forced vote to me. I might have more on him meta-wise if he shares his NF username and if we have played beforehands.

How about the forced vote he admitted to ? If you've isoed him I'm sure you've seen his initial meta-read on me. It seems like he changed it in order to justify a vote.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 4:43 pmI actually think you might be onto something. Sig is just a really tricky player to read; I never can seem to be right about him either. There have been moments on my own throughout the game when I felt like his thought process was genuine.
I do feel like his handling of you though is a bit shaky. That's definitely the weak spot in his ISO.

He gave reasons. Mostly a meta-read on me, that I usually coast as scum on another forum, and him not liking the other (Dunya and Epi iirc) wagons.
However, he admitted to his vote being a forced one. He earlier also had an opposite meta-read on me, that I'm adhering to my Town meta by being quiet.

A weak vote without much substance and that he doesn't even like (according to him) that help him not get involved into other wagons that are the center of discussions and will get scrutinized.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 5:08 pmWhat do you mean by a forced one?novaselinenever wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 5:07 pmHe gave reasons. I could quote you two of his post where he gives to meta-read on me based on my activity (being quiet). The initial one was as Town when he was engaged with Dom and voting Dom. The new one is as scum in order to justify his bogus vote.

It does make some sense. You voting off-wagon while 3 people are almost tied for the lynch and 1 vote can change everything is suspicious to say the least. It's the bad kind of suspicious.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:26 pm Read Golden's case against me on the last page, and his posts that followed the lynch, and ask yourself, "Does this [the case against Colin] make any sense?"
I'm interested in hearing your answers.
It doesn't matter how weak the cases against Sig, Epi and me are, I don't believe that after all that happened today you didn't have any read on us three. In the case, you read both 3 of us as Town, you could have voted for your weakest Town read to try to save the two others that you read strongly as Town. You didn't even attempt that and just took the easy way out.
So yeah, you voting off wagon in such a crucial time is bad and Golden's case has merits. This is something a player with inside information (scum) would do since they would know who would flip Town and thus not participate so late in a mislynch to avoid scrutinization.

It's not more likely to get scrutinized since the consequences are less important. You weren't trying to hold someone different up to a light since at the time of your vote that lynch wasn't going anywhere. It might differ from host to host though.wolbre04 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 7:56 pmI was worried about a tie tbh, a d1 no lynch has happened to me in games before and I feel like it puts us into an endless cycle of misinformation. This probably sounds flimsy but
a. I'm new so Epi's behavior seemed weird as I don't know anyone's metas that was alive at the time
b. I posted the "No Lynching is illegal" Trump gif (this should obviously be enough)
c. I wasn't going to be around for several hours after voting, and he seemed the best option at the time (I didn't post after that for quite awhile). I wouldn't have felt comfortable with a sig lynch because he was not acting scummy based on my games with him on my home forum.
d. At the time, Epi had 3(?) votes on him I believe and was the leading wagon, with 2(?) votes on another player - I wasn't going to risk a tie when our information tank is empty.

All right, I'm finally caught up. It's been a long day. I'm liking the two current leading wagons. A lot.

[mention]wolbre04[/mention] I think now is the time to expand on your " Sloonei is not MAF ". What makes you think that except "he's not acting like on" ?

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 2]
It is not the only confusing thing about him. I've been reading his ISO and I can't identify his train of thoughts. He's been consistently flip flopping. He was one minute voting for me and the next, jumped on Colin's wagon. Mostly his reasons for suspecting people have been, "they voted for a confirmed Townie" while he did the same, and "they're laying low D1" without much substance.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 2]
I'm pretty sure that's not the only thing he thinks. He also has him as a potential town lean.MacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Apr 26, 2018 11:49 pm He has answered you already. He thinks Sloonei is indie. I can see why because I actually bothered to analyse his posts. So if you haven't bothered to analyse his posts there's no use getting him to explain it because it's got everything to do with the way Sloonei is posting, and nothing to do with what he has said.

It was really aggressive. He accused me of not wanting to bother analyze posts and I don't know where he's getting that from. I don't see a reason against Wolbre explaining his thoughts and giving the analysis of Sloonei's posts that lead him to believe that. It's standard procedure.

If you believe him to be a 3P, how would his lynch end up being a mislynch ?wolbre04 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:07 amI have a feeling people are gonna shift to Sloon and he's gonna get mislynched. Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 2]
All right, so here's where we disagree. I think that his lynch is very worthwhile and I found some of his interactions and the also the lack of them with certain players, very interesting. I think he has more scum team compatibility than Colin and thus his flip gives a lot of info.wolbre04 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:13 amSorry about that, I was trying to say that based on the stuff leading up to epi's death and this day, I don't think Sloonei would be a worthwhile lynch, but that's just me. I'm far less experienced than 99% of you so it's probably better to just listen to someone elseGolden wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:08 amOK sorry it just looked like you were infodumping but you should make sure you don't do anything that looks like it might be infodumping too.wolbre04 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:03 amIt's obvious in the thread based on who died imo and who is tradingGolden wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:02 amYou need to read those rules.wolbre04 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:59 amThere's really no reason for me to explain anything further beyond "Sloonei isn't pure mafia. Glad it wasn't but in any event I've slowly been leaning towards a Colin vote and it might be where I end up. We'll see.
I also sense a certain resistance to his lynch even though most agree with Mac's case on him. The same can't be said for Colin's lynch. For example Scotty didn't see much of a case against Colin and all of a sudden he sees Colin guilty with each post. Mac who made the case against Sloonei is also voting Colin. You defending him.
Experience can be overrated sometimes. It shouldn't stop anyone from listening to you if your arguments are sound.
I still haven't decided between the two but leaning Sloonei now.

At any rate I would say he and Golden are both slightly lower. All my reads regress to the mean the longer I have them for. At first I was pretty eh on Golden and MP but when I was analysing deeply I had a team mapped out and they were not in it, but out of that zone I was in my reads on all of them have softened somewhat, for good or bad.
I would say the biggest shift would be Dunya, who is my top town read now because of the thing I noticed before where she got mad at me for a post I town read her in.
I was mostly asking because of his interaction with LC a few pages back. They both looked pretty bad coming out of it but I agree with the points LC raised on him, especially him being a Straw man. He felt a bit opportunistic trying to spin negativity on LC's posts. Then reacted over dramatically to LC's suspicions/vote and followed that up with a big 'NO U' vote.

Re: Ancient Greece Mafia [Day 2]
Finally caught up. I'm still good with the Colin's lynch. He hasn't done anything to really defend himself and all of his posts are bad, real bad. In my interaction with him, I didn't like his explanation to the Luna vote and I'll be looking at her when he flips scum.
Something I find interesting is how this wagon grew exponentially in the last few hours. I know he didn't defend himself but I still feel uneasy with all the votes he's getting when it was a tied lynch earlier.
[VOTE: Colin] aubergine
