Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 19

Ladies and gentlemen,

You caught me. There's no way out of this situation — your deduction has been flawless, leaving no way for scum to escape or mount an effective defense.

I hereby resign from the Game of Champions. Congratulations, civs.

Yours in devilry,

Why should he be judged for joining a train? Also, I’ve been supatowning this whole game. But don’t worry, you avoided both trains yesterday, and I’m suddenly not a supatown at all in your eyes.

Oh, here’s something funny.

Guess who didn’t post at all on N10? :ponder:
Guess who didn’t “show up” to kill someone N10? :ponder:

:haha:

Awful coincidences, don’t you think?
Ok, this is a major stretch. If I were bad, you think that I wouldn't instruct my teammates to send in a kill on a day I knew I wasn't going to be around? Why do I have to be the one to send in the kill? You're making assumptions to fit your narrative and calling them "revelations."

NO U Vote colonialbob aubergine.
This vote got me lynched. :eye:
Uh, no. That's like saying a vote for Ralph Nader got George Bush elected — you got lynched because there were more people who wanted you dead than who wanted Kyle dead. I don't think either of you are bad, GTH, so I voted for a third party. It'd be more accurate to say that INH's vote got you lynched, because he actually broke the tie, but any of your voters are worthy of scrutiny.

GTH reads:

Boomslang: civ (duh)
Colonialbob: bad (Strex due to Wilgy interactions)
Dom: bad (Even because Cbob is Strex; missed vote in close lynch yesterday)
DDL: civ (due to nightkill without much thread suspicion)
Epi: civ (supatown)
INH: civ (weakest civ read given voting record)
Kyle: civ (assuming I'm right about Scotty)
Quin: civ or indy (due to nightkill, role)
Scotty: bad (Even due to POE, willingness to bus Speedchuck during Wilgy lynch)
Sloonei: civ (supatown)
Spacedaisy: civ (authentic Wilgy celebration)
SVS: civ (generally helpful and thoughtful contributions)

For once, Cbob says something with which I agree. It's not that hard to provide a solid reason for SD as civ. I think that's the case, for example, based on her play towards Wilgy and good vote/role analysis.
Epignosis wrote: Sun Apr 08, 2018 9:46 pm Sloonei could be an Evil Even. No question there. He's compatible, and I think some of the evidence brought against him regarding his activity in the other thread is noteworthy.

Question for the field:

If you are LC's teammate in Cerberus, and you know he fucked up by naming your thread, what do you do?
I don't see how you orchestrate a save in that situation. You know LC's lynch is a foregone conclusion, so you try to play in the other thread as if you didn't know that was going on. "I don't know — fly casual."

All that's in the rules is this: "It is possible for players to change win conditions or affiliations." The mechanic is therefore not certain to be included in the game. And, given the lynch result, it certainly wasn't the case for spirityo. The host rules don't "refute" any of my opinions.

Epignosis wrote: Thu Apr 05, 2018 10:02 pm So you believe colonialbob is a fourth Strex?
Yes. I think your analysis effectively eliminates him from being an Even, and we haven't gotten a host message saying that Strex has been eliminated.

That’s a great question figuring I’ve voted to lynch every single member of the mafia we’ve lynched
And you were presumably killee by the evens.
Agreed 100%. I'm also very skeptical of the whole civ-to-mafia flip thing given that alignments are only revealed after second death. Why would flipping after first death make any sense to include as a mechanic in that case, especially with the already unusual length of this game?

But enough about conjectures. It's a difference of opinion, but I don't like Cbob calling this flip theory "reasonable." Scotty pulls good info on a cbob-Lorab connection as well.

SVS's response to spirit's defense feels like civ-on-civ perspective disagreement, too. There's too much passion to be mafia calculation.

Going to park my aubergine on Vote colonialbob for now.

Argh, misread the polls; I'd thought both colonialbob and sig were on the "first voted Speedchuck and then Wilgy" train. Cbob did do a Speedchuck to worthless DH vote, however. Not sure if the context of the DH kill adds any more information about that vote, given that we still have two mafia teams still out.

I'd say sig is the stronger candidate. His "sticking to his guns" comment gaslights people who are questioning him over Sloonei suspicion; it strikes me as someone who's caught in a slip doubling down. Also, "Plus mafia hasn't targeted him which i really dislike" is pouring a nice tall glass of WIFOM.
Would you be willing to start a sig wagon?

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 12

Reading through as quickly as I can instead of meeting my deadline for the local paper... #justmafiathings. Also, drinking beer because Good Friday monk diet.

Super glad that the Wilgy flip turned out correctly. Spacedaisy's celebration reads so authentic as opposed to "look at me I'm civ and got this right" that I'm basically willing to clear her at this point. She's wrong about me being involved in the Blooper kill, but I still think she's town.

Sloonei's SVS case reads weirdly to me. He's essentially criticizing her for calling him supatown; he may be less active in this thread, but he was the driving force in Cerberus. My gut says SVS was a civ just pushing buttons to generate responses there. However, he's right about sig delivering player salad, as well as his weird "even the playing field" comment. And Scotty chips in with good vote analysis of a Wilgy/Sig connection.

Colonialbob is diving deep into mechanics discussion and hypotheticals about recruitment, which I don't see as particularly helpful. This game is complicated enough as is without that mechanic, and I think he's trying to muddy the pot.

I think Epi's on the right track with vote analysis for Wilgy/Speedchuck. Who joined the train when it was truly inevitable to avoid standing out? And that leads us to Colonialbob and sig as well.

Whoa, Blooper reveal! Glad I'm living with a goodie two-shoes :P

Yeah I can. Can't say I read any of it though, only noticed y'all wanted to murder me to super death and back.

Shit, the only thing I'm still clinging to the thoughts I had on Boomslang a week ago which was a bad read.
I like Sloonei's responses to SVS's questions. He reads as reasonable and civ-oriented, and I feel better about him now that the tribes have combined and he's no longer going for the lynch just to be lynching.

Epi's analysis of my interactions with Marmot is spot-on. DH's obsession with speedchuck is not. SVS says it succinctly with "If nutellas role did not have that "cannot target a teammate" line, I would be right at the front of the pitchfork line, DH."

Obviously, I don't like anyone voting me for joining a train on a reasonable case. Cbob, that means you. Scotty has been supertown this whole game, can't get that mad at him for complaining about my low engagement recently. Trying to get caught up, but also going out of town again this weekend :/
