Reaching out to low volume posters without pushing them goes against a scum agenda - if you call out lurkers and just flat out push them then you're possibly pushing a mislynch or distancing but if you're just getting people who aren't posting to post more then usually it's not an action that benefits scum.

If you look, Marmot spends a lot of time D1 doing the glad handing thing, not getting to work & trying to solve the game. You claim to have already gone thru his ISO, so you should be aware of that already.

So it's already been pointed out and supported with posts that Marmot didn't push back against the Qwags lynch as you claim he did. Also, he hasn't reached out to low posters as you say, you even referenced his engagement of Daisy & Tim (both soft and not solvey BTW) and they are def not low posters.

You are the one reading him in bad faith.

My recent posts are talking about what I see in his "glad handing" and I've talked about him engaging low posters already.

I read his ISO but I haven't read the game - sorting through things without context means that I don't have a perfect picture of what's going on. Please keep that in mind when responding - I know that my language is sometimes terse and thus comes across as rude but that's usually a side effect of me not having a ton of time to post and parse things - I'm not trying to come across as a dick.

Marmot was pushing Made yesterday but this seems more like a genuine attempt to sort him out as opposed to just trying to get him pushed off a cliff like I'd expect scum!Marmot to be doing.

This is one of the reachouts I like contrasted with Falcon's reachout to me. Falcon as scum is laying down groundwork for a further push whereas Marmot is just trying to get people engaged which isn't one of those things that is likely to gain you towncred but is strictly +town.

I want nacho to come post and play too, but this is kind of a passive-aggressive way to request it of him.

I agree with Scotty that Mac's behavior today sucks. Don't like that he's coming in with the defeatist attitude and talking about how we need to purge the slank group but there's no sense of urgency behind it - he's not interacting with the main wagons and seems to be voting Long Con because "no one has looked that way recently". If you're on the cusp of taking an L, you don't try to be cute.

I don't think Gavial is the play today - the watcher weirdness is weird but I don't think most mafia players have the chutzpah to try to clear themselves with an ability like that.

I'm moving my vote to falcon for now not that I know anything about falcon but I'd really like for people on both of these main wagons to rehash/link to cases so I can have some vague sense of confidence that we're not missing a third time. I think the Daisy/Jack back and forth continues to go nowhere and is anti-town because it is two townies tying up their votes which gives scum a greater sense of agency. I think Tony Stark voting Scotty is very scummy - Scotty is strongly townread by most and he's doing nothing to actually push that suspicion which means he's just throwing his vote away.

I just told you I'm suspicious of Marmot. Looking at the poll, I realize that's not a groundbreaking view, but I was asked to look back at Marmot's posts and that's what I came up with.

I named Tim because Tim is one of the few players here I'm familiar with. If Tim were really the sort of great scumhunter that I've heard he is, then I think he would give me at least a day's worth of breathing room, and put his vote to people who are more engaged. So either Tim is not trying very hard to scumhunt, or perhaps tales of his ability have been exaggerated.

I understand your perspective a bit better with this post + your other recent post.

I think you're underestimating how hard it is to let go of an old suspicion - if I'm pushing and trying to kill someone and then they replace out it's pretty hard for me to let go of that suspicion immediately so I can definitely understand why Tim wouldn't let up, especially when we still haven't hit a wolf.

I'm willing to give you space though.
