That was my sense.

I felt worse about iaafr than consensus, somewhat more suspicious of Pawn and Radishes, better about Sprit and Dom too I think. Epi as my top townread next to Eva I guess.

Jack was higher than Epi and interchangeable with MR in terms of placement imo.

I don’t recall a single Syndicate user expressing suspicion of Epignosis. Evenstar complained about him insisting that people save his posts and that he looked bad grilling iaafr but that’s all.

Again, I could be misremembering. But it’s easier for me to keep track of the users I’m familiar with and Epi in particular is someone I’m mindful of because he’s just such a bastard. (I like him a lot.) So ... dunno about that.

Had the iaafr thing stated and frankly? Eva "pressuring" me didn't exactly worry me. I know how to explain myself in a way that gets her to like my process and thought lines easily. Idescribed the meta between us two as alternating between mason partners and at each others throats, I kind of needed to learn how too play around that. It's something I've seen in previous games with her before so she never really bothered me with it that day in terms of heat. Same with iaafr ultimately.

Jack was meh honestly. He'd been sussing me all day and like, I've dealt with much worse pressure, especially due to the rule of 3 diluting it. So I kinda just laughed at it.

Plus with myself, iaafr, Eva, and somewhat MR in a consolidated group from my perspective I never really felt any heat and wasn't actually worried about being voted up.

I’m surprised to hear that because it seemed at one point you were seriously frustrated by it. I could have been misreading the situation but it happened regardless so you leaving it out/putting yourself as a consensus top townread is, let’s go with, disquieting.

Also somebody put forth a theory that iaafr is a town doublevoter based on a D1 no vote I think. Not sure if I believe it

Evenstar is considered mechanically cleared for some reason. Whoever died N1 was maybe-a-mason according to the new people and she was their strongest townread, I think? This is hard to do.

I largely disagree too that people were suspicious of Epi (half and half at the absolute most) and I think people came around to iaafr but he spent a lot of time as a prime suspect because of how Epi interrogated him.

There was a LOT of bitchy arguing in the other thread, by the way.

Speaking of LLD, do you think her annoyance with the game is genuine? I personally was really ticked about the new ruleset, but now that I'm actually playing with it I'm starting to warm up to it a bit.

It seemed genuine in the moment as I read but stepping back a little — and framed the way Epi framed it — it felt a bit over-the-top. Like if you’re actually mad I’d think you’d just walk away for a while.

Actually whoever keeps pushing the “all Syndicate members are scum” theory can be in my scumpile because, c’mon, really

Because the Godfather role typically has big protections that other scum don’t — protections that enable them to survive longer. Fooling cops is one but there are often more like being unkillable to some extent. I guess I don’t know if there was more to it than that but I have been assuming there had been, which would make them valuable, which would make them unlikely to be the last-minute-lynch-pile target from teammates.

I guess I am sheeping Radishes’ logic there but it feels pretty sound to me. If it was scum v scum 112 v Drago I don’t think there’s a mafia role more powerful/worth keeping than godfather. Somebody brought up the point that maybe Drago was too cooked to protect further and yeah, that’d be true ... if he weren’t the godfather.

I guessed 8 because 30/4 = 7.5 and you round up for large games, but that's probably not a unified team. Right now I would be betting ~6 team scum with ~2 independents, given that there were six team members in the movie plus Mal as a 3rd party plus maybe the target as another 3rd party. There could be surprises in there: I for one can't wait for someone to suddenly get hit with a train from out of nowhere

A unified 8 feels like an awful lot for the Syndicate but it’s been a while since I was in a big game so maybe I am misremembering.

So. Obviously I’m missing like a trillion pages of context but out of THIS thread I like the contributions of Radishes, Michelle, Epignosis, MacDougall and Pawn Lelouch.

Since others have remarked though I am curious to have this on record: if you’ve played with Epi before/recently what do you make of him taking the reins and ISOing?
