Re: The Simpsons [DAY 3]
weird...
I agree, chopping Skinner seems bad. there's no "good" way to deal with this, but leaving him alive opens the opportunity that he might eat a kill from the mafia, get replaced, or show up later right in the nick of time and solve the game with tracker magic or w/e.
that's never how it works out but maybe it'll work out that way this time.

Re: The Simpsons [DAY 2]
I've explained my absence already, but to be more specific a family member is sick and my life priorities and time distribution are different from how they were at the start of the game, and likely will be for the foreseeable future. I will not be more specific than that given that you are all possibly strangers to me. I will be making time whenever I can.Lisa Simpson wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 4:52 pmHe seems to know what a player salad is but doesn't know what TR means. Just seems odd to me. I am asking about some mafia lingo as it comes up because this is my first time hearing these specific instances of mafia slang. You can draw whatever conclusions from that that you'd like to draw.

i think i disagree with this just cus i've been there. falling behind and finally having a time set up to catch up and read and respond to everything all at once. i'll keep a post tab open which i just type thoughts in as they come. this seemed like that to me. and i feel like focusing on the fact that it's a very long post does a disservice to the fact that there's a good amount of analysis in there. though now that you mention it;Hugh Jass's novel...to start, the entire.concept came across like "I'm not one for big speeches" and then was followed by a monstrously long speech. I find long winded diatribes easy way for scum to muddy the waters
Mr. Jass, did you come out of this read/analysis with any particular strong negative reads, and if so what are you doing with them?

Re: The Simpsons [DAY 2]
yes but the lack of such can be a sign of a player blending in to avoid ruffling feathers, avoid putting pressure on teammates, putting up a good front of looking like doing work, etc. all the stuff that mafia members do to reach the end of the game. that's why i brought it up. it's not bad to have similar ideas to other players, but to be so thoroughly within the status quo is. i also feel like you skipped over some of my questions and the meat of the post, which i dislikeKrusty the Clown wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 12:55 amI like this bit of ogic, Hugh Jass had something similar...it goes along the lines of "not risky enough reads, that's scummy!"
The irony of this post of yours is that Hugh Jass already did it...so I guess your reads ain't all that fresh and original either.
Both you and Hugh are wrong tho...hawt, fresssssssh takes that are avante garde, cutting edge & oh so cosmo is not what makes a player town.
1. what made you change your opinion of me between day 1 and day 2?
2. can you explain what exactly it was about Hugh Jass long disorganized post bothered you?

Re: The Simpsons [DAY 2]
grampa is mild spicy, i can see his posts being posted by a scumlord but i can't see his posts being only able to be posted by a scumblord. if i were to make a rainbow he'd be yellow or orange i think, but not red, and maybe not even orange.
something that sticks out to me in particular on the topic of grampa is the energy which he puts into discussing the mechanics and ethics of mafia and town play in comparison to his regular posts. the posts in which he discusses the efficacy of day one lynches and Machouse's claim are much longer and verbose. later on there are a couple of defense posts which discuss his own meta at length as a means of defense against Jass. in the past i've seen mafia get absorbed into meta discussion easily because it doesn't involve taking a stance or sticking your neck out. it's not even as a purposeful ruse, i don't think, sometimes meta discussion just sticks out more when a person is forced by the circumstance of being mafia to stifle themselves. meta and game mechanics are always easy to talk about regardless of alignment. he also could just be kind of a mechanics nerd with limited time. scumhunting and talking about oneself use a different type of energy.
tldr; gramps is a soft orange

innocent child is when someone is confirmed town by the host

in regards to not caring about CBD, looking back through cbg's posts, i haven't really seen anything worth commenting on.
there's a lot of succinct jabs without supplying direct reason. it's an easy enough cake to hide a knife in, but it also matches with a lot of players signature styles. his behavior seems null to me because of that. though there comes a point when stating opinions doesn't do much if you don't also state your reasonings.

additional lingo question: what is a naked vote
Mr. Jass gives off medium to stronk town vibes to me
the 5 paragraph post of all those thoughts drips of authenticity. he's either real or he's the kind of player i'll get mad at myself for getting tricked by. my gut says this is the kind of spaghetti that is cooked by a truthful mind.
this is the point where my post got eaten cus i refreshed the page by mistake. i will have to summarize.
the part where you list me as a suspect seems out of the blue to me. the last time you mentioned me was a post where you were agreeing to a point i made, then nothing. i had not done or said anything between the two instances.
the rest of these reads seem like low hanging fruit. a low hanging fruit salad. homer is not an uncommon suspect. hugh jass is suspected because they posted that they had trouble organizing their thoughts in a post where they organize a lot of thoughts, as well as
townreading otto, alison, lisa, burns and bart are also far from being risky takes.

Feeling less sure on Comic dude, but still on the town lean side.
Pretty null on a bunch in there.
Skinner, Flanders, Milhouse take up the bottom three spots with my preference being Skinner Flanders wagons.
Milhouse calling Skinner and Flanders scum is interesting to me and I get it's highly unlikely he's wolf bros with them, but his entrance, lack of content and scum list without due exploration is troubling.
