A bunch of us used to play on a site that would edit out curses, so got used to not cursing. Also, for me at least, when there were several younger players in games (as in young teens), I got used to not cursing, because it didn't feel right cursing around them, as I try not to do that in real life. I can't speak for everyone, but I rarely curse in games.

If you need a replacement Golden, I'm always good to annoy... everyone. Mainly you though... amiright?

I'm this far in catching up - as such - some thoughts -

I dislike this "being forced to fakeclaim" because it's that. A fake claim. I dislike matt's tactics. I don't want to claim because the cylon amnisty act does not apply to me. I don't want to claim because if you witch hunt me for not claiming then that is your fault for following your paranoia. I don't want to claim because the more you INSIST that I HAVE TO DO THIS THING the more I don't want to do it. Because it feels in my gut that something is wrong with it and while I can't put my finger on what - I can't deny the fact that my tum tum turns with each person who tries to put pressure on me to behave and act a way that goes against my nature to behave and act. I don't want to claim for every reason why Rico has said this isn't a decent course of action.

But - LC - made a decent point in regards to saying it and how not saying it is like when he stole the sortie. I get that logic much more than being screamed at or being told I'm bad for not saying it. So because I try to read everyone's posts, and because LC seems to think no one reads his - I wanted to point out that I still disagree with the idea of forcing people to say it. (And yes matt - I can still want Cavil dead while disagreeing with your methods to getting there) - I will say the damn thing.

Some quick things:

One - the lynch post will be late today - possibly significantly - because I'm on an interview panel all day.

Two - therefore, I'm going to take the opportunity to pull back the phases slightly. The night period will begin at midnight EST and will last for only 22 hours, ending at 10PM EST tomorrow. The Admiral's powers will be functional for the second half of that phase.

Three - Dex is replacing DFaraday with immediate effect. Thanks Rabbit for also volunteering, I'll let you know if I end up needing another.

I do not think Epi should be lynched tomorrow if this resurrection ship is destroyed. I think the chances of him being resurrected again are too high. It would probably serve us better to look for more scum.

Scotty, this post came before the first resurrection ship was destroyed. You asserted that even if the resurrection ship is destroyed, you didn't want to lynch Epignosis because of the "high chance" of his being resurrected again.

This catches my attention because at this point, I don't believe it was public knowledge that there are multiple resurrection ships, meaning you'd have had to know that yourself ahead of the game.

This quote is part of a larger one detailing my hesitancy in getting rid of Epi when he appeared as a possibility to being town-aligned. So my viewpoint was skewed towards viewing him as not an immediate enemy.

In regards to being resurrected again, my thought process was that merely destroying a ship does not guarantee it would mean Epi was vulnerable. Hell, the whole thing was a huge assumption that that would be the be all end all for cylon death. The "high chance?" I dunno, could be a desire to postpone the immediate lynch of Epi. I don't remember

It's a pretty reasonable conclusion based on Cain's law. Why should any human want Cain dead? I'll eat S~V~S' hat if the goal of almost every human doesn't involve killing at least the 7 Cylons that are evil on the show. Killing Cylons is cool. Present company excepted, of course.

Reasonable? If somebody changed my status like Cain did to the humans, I'd straight up want revenge, victory be damned.

I slept late this morning after a long drive yesterday through terrible thunderstorms and haven't fully caught up yet. I do however see that the claiming cylon has really taken on a serious tone so I am a cylon too. I hear you bea about being the member of one of the five but I'd rather take that chance than not claim cylon based on the reasoning put forth.

I am leaning toward a lorab vote today because we already believe (or I already believe) that Epi is a good cylon and there can't really be that many. I don't know what to do about the new win con where it concerns Epi but I think someone else said this too - maybe if given some time that martial law will be canceled or replaced with something more moderate.

My most sincere apologies to all of you for my 'disconnectedness' this last Day phase. I'm sorry to have done that but circumstances and my own mental well-being demanded it. Given that the next Day phase will occur over the weekend, I hope I will be more available to contribute to to this game in the next few days. For those of you that have given me the benefit of your doubt and are willing to believe in me, I appreciate that a lot.

There is a lot to catch up on but my vote is my first priority. I'll admit to having mixed feelings about LoRab. While I agree that she's almost certainly Cylon, I am (perhaps naively) willing to accept that her claims of not being Mafia may indeed be true. I hope for all our sakes, I'm wrong about that but as this lynch is already a foregone conclusion, my vote won't influence that outcome one way or the other. Of the other wagons, we have DFaraday the against whom is based largely on his lack of posting/involvement in this game. Whilst I agree that is suspicious, I see has been subbed-out so I'm happy to assume that his lack of involvement was the consequence factors external to this game and am satisfied to see how things progress over coming days. Sig and Zebs - REALLY??? I don't think I can recall a game I've played here where the two of you (rightly or wrongly) weren't at each other throats at some point I still firmly hold the opinion that you are both very misguided Town members - I just wish the two of you could see what I do.

Looking back, I DO regret my vote on Magnus (Nerolunar). Only hours before my vote on him, he (as team mate of mine) helped to achieve something truly remarkable on another site and I feel now that I should've given him the benefit of the doubt in my suspicions at that time. I don't intend to make that same mistake again. My vote this phase will go where it belongs - on the person I most genuinely believe to be working against our cause in this game DrWilgy

On a side note for whatever difference it makes, I no longer harbour any suspicions against SokothQultug. After having read his recent posts, I think I may have misunderstood something in our earlier exchange. For what it's worth, I apologise and am happy to move him on over to my heavily Town-leaning reads.

I thought you meant something more specific to Cavil than just the crusade to get people to claim cylon. I do think it's generally a good idea to push people to claim cylon even if we don't know everything about this setup. I also think baddies are capable of pushing that, because it doesn't necessarily equate to baddie hunting.

This game, I swear...

So I've been reading along today and I think I end up pulling every direction at onetime or another.

Frankly, as unpopular as I think this opinion might be, I'm leaning toward believing Long Con.

I don't understand the vitriol that is being thrown at those trying to use this plan of MM's. Personally I think it was really unwise of the President to basically give every cylon a one time lynch survival. In what mafia game would anyone ever advocate giving every potential mafia a one time lynch survival? I find it very weird to argue that view.

SVS, while I understand that it comes from your compassionate side, I think to characterize pressure to make a claim in order to follow a plan as bullying is a bit much. It's a mafia game, in which each side is trying to accomplish their win condition. Everyone has the right to abstain from making the claim, but they will have to accept it will make them look a bit suspicious. It's just part of the game. I'm not saying I would vote someone based only on that action, but it would be someone I consider as I look at the whole of the player's actions during the game.

I think Bea has been the most honest in her statement regarding being concerned she might unknowingly be Final Five. I can at least respect that, even if I have been going back and forth on her all game. If I am honest, I found her seeming anger with me during my mini melt down to be out of character. But her response once I calmed down and addressed her was way more Bea-like. It's little stuff every once in a while that just seems off, but then she will bounce right back. The cases presented against her seem sound as well.

Regarding Epi. I wish everyone would stop pushing him to claim. The host flip revealed him as Athena, he could be fooling us, but I don't think so. I believe he is Athena. And as such I believe he is aligned with the "civs " or rather the humans. So I think robbing him of that possible protection down the line is a bad idea, even with the current martial law. Because I also believe this martial law will not last the whole game and win cons will go back or change again. so stop trying to force his hand. besides, this is Epi, he won't give in to pressure, he'll probably just moon you and then go have a stiff drink.

Regarding the discussion about Caprica Six and Baltar. Come on, the only person Baltar was concerned with was Baltar. Do you really think he is anything but Indy aligned? I would not be surprised if he and Caprica Six had similar or shared win cons and they probably don't have anyone's best interest in it but their own. So even if Lorab is claiming Caprica Six, I don't believe she is civ aligned. My vote is going there today.
