Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I'm provocative!
Real (and unsatisfying) answer: I wanted to ask someone where to vote. I simultaneously wanted to pressure someone who wasn't voting. I decided to combine the two by asking this question to the first person on the list who hadn't voted.
Ambray was first.
So your answer is: Because Ambray hadn't voted, and her name starts with an A.

I kind of think it is exactly what you did. I am going to leave a vote on you for now, the thread is small enough that I can reread some more and change it if I change my mind. I really do think you are forcing suspicions. You don't feel sincere to me.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 5:43 pm

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I ask questions to explore concerns that I have. For example, I asked DF about his Drusilla post because it seems like he might know something the rest of us do not about Drusilla. That could indicate he is Drusilla or is a partner of Drusilla OR it could be something innocent that I'm just not understanding so I want to know what he has to say about it. I will then know whether I want to pursue the angle that he knows something about Drusilla. Every time I ask a question I'm trying to gain information to help point me in a direction. That's what I mean by "places I want to go". I think you already knew this though.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 5:44 pmMechanics speculation.juliets wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 4:05 pmWhat is "mechspec"? Also, prodding is my style. Where do you want to go?
Since you are not aware of my meta I would suggest you look back at a game where I was bad. You will see a difference.

I'm not afraid to voice an opinion but as of right now, I will say we should look more into the loop mislynch voters, it's very duck soup to jump on a wagon especially on day 0 (?) with little to no evidence off a players behaviours for an easy quick lynch. I noticed a few players piled on before due time & im skeptical about that, for now ill be placing vote of DFaraday - I believe he voted for Loop also, his reasoning for vote was moot.

Scum players want to avoid suspicion, and are careful about it. Lapluie, on the other hand, sees you suspecting me for pushing the loop voters (which I never did) and then immediately goes and blatantly pushes the loop voters.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I'm not sure I understand what you are asking with "where do you want to go". Right now I have an important question out to DF. Did he slip and reveal something that only the mafia would know? Also, SVS's case regarding you looks decent at first glance but I need to spend some time looking back at your posts which I'm going to do next. I'm not wild about lapluie's reason for voting DF even though I am looking at whether he slipped. Other than that lapluie hasn't commented (unless I missed it) on suspicions or asked probing questions so I am looking at her. There are 5+ hours left in the day and I expect more posting to occur so I may see more that I want to pursue as the day goes by.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:03 pm @juliets I'm happy to vote somewhere else if you answer my question.

I think DF simply misread the drusilla-spike recruitment sentence (like switched the pronouns in his mind or something and interpreted it backwards) and I think he is unlikely to be on the vampire team

A. No, I didn't. It is, quite frankly, aggravating that your biggest line of suspicion toward me is something that never happened. it is doubly frustrating that everyone is buying it. It is triply frustrating that Lapluie is actually doing the thing, and you're so deep in the tunnel that you'll stick with me.S~V~S wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:23 pmNo you actually did, I could see you gearing up for it.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:19 pmI've been playing surreal mafia all day. B. I don't. There's a... what, 1/6th chance that he was a vamp? I'll play those odds and give Lapluie some trust.
It's practically D1 for me, since I wasn't paying attention on the real D1. I'll take my trusts and suspicions where I can get them.

Urgh, forgot it's a 24hr period.
However, this back and forth between you and Speed on this page has give my the willies. That may just be due to the fact it is predominately only you 2 talking so there's gonna be back and forth pressure there.
Reason I asked was I remembered your exchange with Speed re the momma bear comment, however now that I've gone back and reread it I think it's applicable to the situation and not actually anything worth of note.S~V~S wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 4:51 pmNo. I left in July, and had not been back since, until about a week and a half ago. I started talking to a soooper persuasive friend, it was a BR/LC game, Tranq and rabbit were playing ... so yeah, lol.
My last post was mid July. I might have lurked around a few days past that in the mod forums, but if I did it wasn't very long after that.
Why?
Also home shortly, will catch up.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
Yeah SVS it's true Speed never went after the Loop voters. He went after the people who missed the vote and then said they would have voted for Loop (or at least that was the case for Ambray... apparently Tranq voted but for rabbit and later said he would have switched to loop if he'd been around) but yeah to be fair you are kind of putting words in his mouth. I do find him suspicious for the other reasons you have pointed out though (his eagerness to jump on those players and his vote for juliets / general eagerness to find easy suspects)

spoiler alert he has zero on-topic posts they are all about being away for the weekend and missing the beginning of the game and then dying as soon as he got backKylemii wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:40 pmHey, sorry. My attention has been largely focused on a different game which is currently at a somewhat critical juncture. For about 2/3 of the next 5.5 hours this game will be my #1 priority.nutella wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:26 pm I agree with speed that lap is town, but I agree with svs that speed is sus.
I think DF simply misread the drusilla-spike recruitment sentence (like switched the pronouns in his mind or something and interpreted it backwards) and I think he is unlikely to be on the vampire team
hey @Kylemii what are your thoughts?
earlier i wanted to look through marmot's posts to see if I can see what spike might have seen in him so i'm going to start there.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
okay I'm going to try this again. Anyone who thinks DF "slipped" has not thought about it for more than thirty seconds and is being painfully opportunistic. He clearly just misread the sentence, go look at the role description, it is easy enough to misinterpret on a quick glance. This makes him actively LESS likely to be on the vampire team. juliets, ambray, if you are seriously trying to push the idea that he slipped one of you is going to get my vote.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Night 1)
In re-reading I found the quote below where speed answered nutella saying he didn't want a defense just an answer. I tend to think this indicates he was not accusing loop voters. The other points S~V~S makes though seem valid.
Ok nutella I see your point on DF though I wish DF had answered for himself.speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:39 pmDid Lap do that? They might have been defensive toward that.
I wasn't flinging suspicion with my question. I just wasn't here. I didn't want defense, just an answer.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
My bad, I worded myself badly. I still think he is bad.nutella wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:36 pm Yeah SVS it's true Speed never went after the Loop voters.
Ambray I thought that too, to be honest. It was what made me reread him. He just feels ... like he is suspecting people just to suspect them, like he did with you and Tranq. I looked for the conversation he said he heard that Momma Bear in, but could not find it but I did find the one game where he and I played together, and it came up in there.

So I just went back and isolated MacDougall's posts - was going back to read sig's actually, but thought I couldn't really remember anything of significance from MacDougall either.

Timmer and LoRab are really raising my hackles with their votes.

I know you're busy MacDougall from what's been said in the other game, but you've not really furthered any of this in D2. Only discussed the night results and what this could mean in relation to the roles.
Any further thoughts from your D1 suspicions?

I'm more interested in her response to your assertion. I didn't think it seemed important to validate your memory of things Jay says. Literally speaking her post seems like it might be categorized as player salad, do you think it's meaningful?
explainInteresting. Teammie helping teammie?

For D1 that's a shit tonne of speculation about who could be teammates and I haven't even quoted it all.MacDougall wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 11:10 pmIt's moreso the lack of entertaining me and then answering her instead? Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I'm considering novaselinenever for my vote. I mentioned him earlier today (did the @ alert thing) and got no reply, meanwhile he has been posting in another game a couple of times, so he's been around and i assume he got the @ alert thingy.
I'm at a place where i have a couple of players as civ-sounding who i don't want to vote for but that's about it.

As of right now Chuck is the lynch leader since he has a penalty vote (both Faraday and Juliets voted yesterday). Plus we lynch two, we need to keep that in mind.
I will be in and out of here most of the night, if anything new comes up of if a consensus comes up with a good plan.

It's past midnight over here, time for me to go. I'll tie it up with voting novaselinenever.S~V~S wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:12 pm As of right now Chuck is the lynch leader since he has a penalty vote (both Faraday and Juliets voted yesterday). Plus we lynch two, we need to keep that in mind.

Earlier today i mentioned spreading out the votes as to maybe figure out Darla, but that would almost guarantee a non-Vampire to be lynched. Then again, we'd have to be pretty lucky to lynch 2 baddies at the same time anyway, so maybe it's worth a shot.

I'm fine with speed and nova being our two lynches atm
Putting my vote on speed for now. I could be reading him wrong since he tends to have a similar style regardless of alignment, but my thinking is that if he's bad he's a pretty scary one to have around late in the game so I'd rather not take that chance if I have any reason to suspect him.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I've stayed longer than intended hoping for some people to appear - I don't know whether I want to vote for speed. I think SVS has raised some valid points, but equally I'm aware that the discussion was a lot of back and forth and tunnell-y between them in their interactions so perhaps his responses feel unsettled because of that.
I'm going to give in 10more mins, but my vote may end up of Speed for the sake of not splitting it further and concerns raised.
