On a serious note, it's not just about number of posts, it's about general contributions. You've goofed around a lot under the Paladin guise, I am the greatest this and I am the greatest that and woe all those who are not my subordinates or some shit, and I just want to make sure you're who you claim to be.dunya wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:01 pmchallenge accepted.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:00 pm I haven't "allowed" you to take the front seat. From where I'm sitting JJJ has contributes the *most* reads and real content. The signal to noise ratio might be a little higher than normal but there's still plenty of signal there.dunya wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:05 pmOn a serious note, it's not just about number of posts, it's about general contributions. Sorry, you're a wonderfully high poster, but JJJ is usually the dominantly high poster of every game. I don't even usually match him, but I currently have no social obligations and it's a weekend so... I'm throwing a meta he hates in his face, but hey, I was mislynched last game even with 300 posts so meta don't mean shit here I guess.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
I don't care for this progression from MacDougall:
This all came in response to colonialbob giving Mac shit for his drafting behavior. I am not typically the sort to care about "omgus", but when it's MacDougall my mindset is different. He loves to be blatant, and this is very blatant. I struggle to believe that he really is in a frame of mind featuring colonialbob as the one who must be lynched independent of bob's accusation of him. It's about bob's first post, and that's an accusation that reads cooked to me. I am being asked to buy the coincidence and I am not inclined to do so. Then the last thing there is just pointless.

well, now that we know the countries are assigned randomly, I'm not sure what significance lap and sig being in badguyia is. Wyvern Rider is a death role so hope sig is on our side. I don't see the relationship between Thief 2 and Wyvern Rider as we made with Rico's army roles.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
do any one else's backstories say they are from goodguyia or badguyia? Other than the ones listed in the OP I mean.
some people don't have countries, " All townies will be randomly assigned to the nations of Goodguyia, Allyia, Nomadia or Badguyia if their backstory does not specify one." so gwilikers is from Badguyia and he's not up in the OP.

I mean, I've never played this game so I'm sorry if I goofed up. I thought it was mostly just flavor but he did say some powers will be country related. I guess have no idea which powers belong to which nations, but you're right, people who know the game will know more about me.

Jay has a very high post count. I don't think he has allowed you to pass you as much as you went into a post frenzy and probably broke the record for most posts made by a person in a day 0 in this site's historydunya wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 1:57 pmDoes this JJJ look like supertown civ JJJ to you? "Jay has seen that accusation hurled 500 times across tons of games, and it very rarely amounts to anything useful."
Roleplay is fun. Civilians like to have fun too. And the notion of "hiding" is the issue. Am I hiding at all? So often players feature real content in their roleplay, and others ignore or overlook it because they don't look past the surface appearance.
also, I'm acting salty about Mortal Kombat which just ended so I'm giving him some shit.
I'm personally reading Jay as civ because I have recently seen bad Jay and it felt wrong in ways this Jay doesn't. Bad Jay doesn't take the helm, he posts a lot of text without much substance and lets others take the helm. This Jay is struggling to compete with your inhuman post count, but I feel like he is trying to take the helm.
As for Kyle, I've already commented about how his posts lack any semblance of scumhunting despite the high post count, and I wonder why he and the rest of you ignored.
What is your read in Kyle, people?

Fire Emblem Night 0
The soldier fell to the ground. "Why are you doing this? The Thumb I know is a good man."
"People die in war," he replied. "My goal is to minimize the number of deaths to only what is necessary. That includes you."
Thumb's axe fell, cutting off his opponent's head. An aura surrounded the Badguyia general and when it's glow had subsided, Thumb now looked exactly like the one he had killed.

"I'm truly sorry to have to do this to you," Pointer said while wiping the blood from his weapon, "but I'm moving up in this world and you were in my way." He too glowed for a moment before assuming the form of his victim.
************
"Who would do such a thing? The body's butchered beyond recognition."
"Disgusting," the muscular lord muttered. "Who was he?"
"That's just it, Prince Sloonei. All of the garrison is accounted for."
"Impossible! Do another headcount. I'm going to find my sister. Until I return, the castle is to be on full alert."
When the prince was out of earshot the soldier began to laugh. Middle was looking forward to facing the prince on the battlefield.
************
Ring's blade pierced a man's skull with ease. "Orders are orders and I always follow orders." Another Badguyia general took the place of a would be hero.
************
The woman groaned in pain with each blow. "You monster" she muttered. "Fall!"
"I think not." Pinky smiled as darkness rose behind her. "You on the other hand..."
When it was done, Pinky joined the group, her companions none the wiser.

Lord Rico crossed blades with his mentor, Sir Jim.
"I don't want to play this game!" our boy protested.
"You think war is a game? People die in war, Rico. Permanently. Especially people like your dad. Don't forget that."
"I'm not kidding, Jack. This is fucking stupid." Adorable little scamp.
"So tired from training that you're calling me by the wrong name." The paladin shook his head. "That's enough for today."
Two soldiers dressed in Christmas colors rode up to the pair.
"My lord!" shouted Marshal, the one dressed in red armor. "We've sighted a small party of bandits attacking a nearby town. They need our help!"
"The town he means," Ron, the green armored knight, added with a smirk. "The bandits are doing just fine."
"Lol whatever," Prince Rico replied. He tapped A through the rest of the prologue, gaining experience and trying to learn as little as possible.
Jackofhearts2005 is dead. He was the Chapter 1 Bandits (Independent), traditionally slaughtered low level mooks.
Day 1 begins now and will last 48 hours. Please remember to call your votes in the thread as some powers and ties depend on the order of votes.

Jackofhearts2005 is dead. He was the Chapter 1 Bandits (Independent), traditionally slaughtered low level mooks.
Day 1 begins now and will last 48 hours. Please remember to call your votes in the thread as some powers and ties depend on the order of votes.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
I think the premise is that we should accept players to have a high amount of noise due to the specific nature of this day 0, as in, how it forced us to dwell in game mechanics.colonialbob wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:07 pmFrom where I'm sitting JJJ has contributes the *most* reads and real content. The signal to noise ratio might be a little higher than normal but there's still plenty of signal there.dunya wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:05 pmOn a serious note, it's not just about number of posts, it's about general contributions. You took it by force. If you keep posting at this rate then I am never going to lead the thread in posts even if I want to.
Even with that, some players have already made an effort to extract a mafia game from this madness, while some haven't. Jay did, Dunya did, I believe I did.

I don't know how to change the game title to say Day 1 instead of Day 0 on mobile.

I actually enjoy games with no poll for a few reasons. The obvious disadvantage is that it's hell for the host to count them, and makes it harder for the players to know what's going on. But it makes it easier to see when votes happened compared to each other, and there is something very satisfying about killing people using your text.

Same. And as long as everyone helps keep a tally, it's not that hellish.Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 4:01 pm I actually enjoy games with no poll for a few reasons. i live in a mysterious forest as a hermit, i asked jack if i just don't have a homeland at all and he told me that my homeland was nonspecified, and that it would be determined randomly if i am ever targeted by a nationality-related role. I'd have to assume others are like that as well.

I read Kyle as a civilian on the strength of his tone. This post in particular read positively to me. Kyle should answer to your assertions though.Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 3:46 pm As for Kyle, I've already commented about how his posts lack any semblance of scumhunting despite the high post count, and I wonder why he and the rest of you ignored.
What is your read in Kyle, people?

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
i think that's probably what rule 4 means, if every role were going to be assigned a definite homeland anyways then there'd be no real purpose to not mentioning the homeland in the actual background itself

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
RECOMMENDATION FOR THE GAME MOVING FORWARD:
We need to use a uniform method for calling our votes. Otherwise it will much harder for the host (and for us) to track votes. I propose the following: bold, underlined, and capitalized with the word "vote" first. I would include a color, but that's tougher on mobile. For example:
VOTE MACDOUGALL
