You're missusing the term "busdriver."

A busdriver targets players A and B. Everyone targeting player A ends up hitting player B and everyone targeting player B ends up hitting player A.

The word you're looking for is commonly known as "redirector," "commander" or "controlled misdirector."

This requires more than just a fist shake, I'm afraid.

Here is what the audio said:

On Night 2, I had a bus drive shot, and I bus-drove Elohcin into speedchuck, meaning that Elohcin's target was speedchuck regardless of whoever [sic] she intended to target.

What we need first is evidence that JJJ knows that a "bus driver" is distinct from a "redirector."

A quick search into JJJ's batted ball profile shows these:

• Disruptive roles (misdirection roles, blocker, bus driver)

In JJJ's hosting balance worksheet, he includes both "misdirection" (which is what he claims to have done to Elohcin) with "bus driver" (which is what he claims to have done).

In a Day 4 in a game, MP said this:

I'm the Town Busdriver, which apparently is a role that targets two people and actions affecting those two people are switched.

Night 1, Elo targeted Golden and Fredwood. So that explains your result perfectly, Golden, right?

To me, this is enough evidence to show that JJJ knows that a "bus driver" is not a redirector.

Going back to the replay:

What we need now is evidence that MacDougall knows what a bus driver is.

Target switching is not the same thing as "bus driving." So it's clear MacDougall misused the term, but he also didn't mean it as a simple redirection either, as JJJ did.



So what happened?

If we believe the audio, MacDougall awarded a "one-shot bus drive" to JJJ, which in practice was a redirection and not a bus drive. JJJ knows it's a redirection, but strangely still uses the term "bus drive" in his audio, even though he knows it isn't the correct term.

All I'm saying is that it's more likely that one person made one mistake than it is two people made the exact same mistake.

Some talk about JJJ making up his claim would be cool. Walk me through some scenarios.

Sure, I could be swinging at balls in the dirt, but I think this play warrants another look by the officials.

Finally, I just want to take this time to say that the Rockies have excellent bus drivers.

I’m not disputing any of this. However, Eloh has quite a reputation here and I assume she is pretty good at scumhunting by it. And I think the more people talk, the better, usually. So I know what you think, but there is no downside in my mind to asking Eloh questions.
