Vompatti is like that car accident on the side of the road that you can't look away from, except he's not really like that at all, I mean maybe he'd be the person on the side of the road giving you the finger telling you to keep going and stop staring but more importantly he writes poetry i think and half of what he says is nonsense idiot savant type behavior that must be fueled by what I can only assume is a hidden genius covering up the fact that he's literally smarter than the rest of us combined.

Her greatest contribution thus far is stating that she dislikes when someone asks another player for their meta, and then she describes her meta as congruent between her civilian and mafia play.
I sort of feel the same way. I may move my vote to Niju.

Well, that answered my question about your vote when looking at the poll. And this is why I don't like questions about meta - I wouldn't win whether or not I chose to answer it, hence being backed into a wall. But fair enough - I chose to answer it as I did. I actually appreciate the suspicion from you and Luna - I'm noticed! It's sig's trust that weirds me out a little.

Obligatory Day 1 philosophy/early commentary: if none of you buggers catches my eye significantly, I will vote a very low poster. I'll repeat and re-repeat (in reference to other games I've played) that I'd rather lynch a nonplayer and get a chance of catching a baddie lying low than lynch a civ who's actually playing Day 1 because they talk. I'll be here, checking in and out, for a bit. Conversation is nice since I have time to do it, yay!

Great way to look proactive and discussion-generating while putting focus on others and not really doing anything.

It's just the timing of it, when over half the game has ~1.2 on-topic posts. Rubbed me wrong.

As Day 1 feelings go, I'll give Marmot and Luna a civ lean, and give sig a neutral eyebrow. He's contributing, at least, like a puppy (I mean that in the best way, sig - this is my mental image of your posts!) if not all over the place. But everything else that I've read, suspicion-wise, feels like darts thrown in the dark, as usual. Better than no darts, I suppose.

I'm curious to see how nutella reacts to speed's suspicion of her, at the moment, since that's the most recent thing that's caught my eye.

(Also, descriptions of Vomps' gameplay is like trying to describe Night Vale to someone - it's impossible with hilarious results. Welcome back, Vomps!)

Hi

I think we all have our prescribed ways of handling D1’s. My opinion is that D1 is hot garbage anyway. No hard info, lots of mudslinging at times, and it’s just quite unfair all around. Completely favors the mafia because they’re the only ones that can steer the ship precisely.

I won’t vote for you today because I don’t know you yet. But day 2 is fair game

@juliets

Also, since you inquired in Speedy's Nutella read, I'm wondering at which point you usually notice something is off with nutella when she's been scum in the past? Would you've expected to already notice some pings there if she's scum?
Part of the problem with my nutella pings is I notice them almost right off the bat - maybe not her first post but by her second or third I'm feeling uneasy. This time I haven't had that feeling at all. I'm not saying it's AI because I seem to be pinged by her when she is good and bad. Because I'm not pinged this time I'm neutral on her.

Hey
To a certain point, I agree with you. There's no hard info, but the mudslinging gets reactions, which one can get reads off. And then conversation can get deeper slowly over time. But if everyone calls d1 useless and decides to random-vote and wait for d2, d2 is basically gonna be the exact same as d1, because we didn't want to start playing "for real" d1. That's how I look at it.

Btw, did you mention that you won't vote for me because you would've voted me for my post if you'd known me, or did you just mention it but it was unrelated to the earlier part?

Feel free to vote me if you think I'm mafia, that's a great way to get to know someone :)

Her greatest contribution thus far is stating that she dislikes when someone asks another player for their meta, and then she describes her meta as congruent between her civilian and mafia play.

@juliets

Because I'm not pinged this time I'm neutral on her.
oh ok, i follow you. Do you have any reads/leans so far?

I'm inclined to vote lapluie at this point in time because she is a no show and I don't have any other good candidates. I'll reconsider if she shows up and does things that are civ leaning.

Let's just make reads the best we can imo.

I see the points of it, but i don't think the info-loss coming days is worth the slight increase of chance to lynch scum today but randomizing.

:ponder:
You seem like a smart feller. Probably smarter and craftier than I. I see your point and also agree to an extent, because I like looking at the votes on D1 and seeing how they correspond to the flow of the day. In a vacuum, my style doesn’t work if everyone does my style. Because there is nothing to be gained.

It's because you quoted a loose @juliets, and then your editor tried to autocomplete it into a mention, and you pressed Enter which confirmed it.

Happens all the time. Careful when quoting mentions.

Dom pinged me for other reasons. I've explained them earlier. Tonal meta.
@Marmot I may switch to Dom. I trust speedchuck is town, and he has a better read on Dom's meta than I do.
Okay this is a scray post.

Why coordinate with Marmot? Why trust me when I don't trust you?
