If it helps this fugitive thing sounds like civ or indie in my book. Most likely indie.

I don't care for lynching indies.

I am not Indie. I am Town. You can take that to the bank.

The Fugitive decreases the stats for any job at this location by just one. I would NOT call that keeping you from winning. Crew changes can only happen in the day anyway.

Also @Golden: I think you have a problem here. As our Captain, your first priority is to get our team off that damn lynch poll. Your second priority is to get our team some cash so we can at least make some impact on this game. If my being a fugitive negatively impacts either of those priorities, you seriously need to consider jettisoning me for the good of the team.

Pfffff

As if any of us are getting lynched.

Keeping the team off the lynch poll is almost anti-town unless you KNOW someone is town that you're saving. And even then, if you know it, others should too.

Throw me on the lynch poll every day, I don't have a crap.

Sorry, Chuckles but I disagree with you there. I think it’s imperative for as many of us as possible to not be on that poll. If we have one on it, the rest of us can try and protect them and should be able to quite effectively. If we’re all on then we are all potential targets and our ability to keep the team together is severely diminished.

Speed, I think I’ve picked this team well. I want to keep you off the poll because I believe you are town. If I stop believing that, I’ll fire you.

In the meantime, I’ll put on the poll the person I think is least likely to be lynched.

And glorf, every location has different things that can cost us. We won’t come back here anyway, probably.

This game should be more about hunting than this captaincy stuff but stop trying to all fall on your swords please. Let me just judge your motives and work from there.

I'm not getting lynched. I don't care if I go on the poll.

All I'm saying is that my crew loyalty (which I've already stated, is not spectacular. I don't mutiny, but I don't care if I get fired) is completely trumped by my town loyalty. And it should be that way for everyone.

I am certain Glorf is town.
I lean town on Golden, and on Kylemii, and maybe even DDL.
Marmot... :shrug2:

Keep in mind, Golden. As captain, you are responsible for protecting the towniest of your crew. But if for example Marmot falls under suspicion, and you can't defend him with words, don't defend him with mechanics. I know this is obvious, but we're here to lynch scum. Our ship is less likely than the others to contain scum, IMO, but it still may have one or even two.

And the captains, if town, have an obligation not to inhibit lynching scum.

We are a BTSC crew, not a team. The teams are town and scum.

Most of that was said for others' benefit.

I hope you are town, Golden. Because if you were scum, it would have probably been better for you not to be captain. Extra scrutiny and all that.

If I protect people I shouldn’t you guys can mutiny. Truth be told if I was scum and picked teammates I’d likely throw them together the wolves anyway, if I’m protecting someone strongly you’d be coming to the wrong conclusion to assume they’re my baddie teammate.

But I hear what you’re saying and agree in principle, speed. The flip side is that we also don’t want loud scum determine who the captains send to the lynch. I think the critical thing is that we have robust read discussions here. I’m most inclined to throw out a rainbow here rather than the main thread.

Your job required you to have a total of at least 9 Technical skill.

The Bonnie Mae ended up with a total of 9 Technical, so you passed this check.

You have received a total of $1500 to be divided up among you at your Captain's discretion.

This thread is now locked, see you in the Day thread!

Omg. That day was insane.

I think the wilgy lynch was ‘good’ in that I don’t think anyone needs to feel too guilty about it, the case was there. It was just wrong.

I still think nova pushing that cfd hard could have been trying to save TH. I doubt we’ll get either of them on the poll next time if TH passes his mission.

Welcome Luna

And sorry about the non-even share, crew. I kept 650 because I could buy an item that guaranteed completion of a job, which I then bought. I thought it was better to go for the long term gain for everyone, we might be able to complete a more lucrative difficult mission this way.

Your Captain has chosen to go to Beaumond and use the Hydraulic Docking Clamps to make this an automatic pass.

The payout for this job is $2000

Enjoy a nice peaceful evening.

Except you Golden, you have to choose who to put on the lynch poll.

You said in the thread that you believe your entire Team is Town and that you will protect them. I’d ask you to please think carefully about that - and about the odds of that being true. I suspect you’ll need a second stringer anyway so you might want to think about your options there. Thanks.

I see no reason to believe that Marmot is town. He has only talked game mechanics in the ship thread, and has been mostly absent from the day thread. He showed up and voted for Mac right after I put my vote on him, but never gave a reason for wanting to vote Mac. I am in favor of putting Marmot on the poll.

I originally suspected Lapluie because Sokoth commented something like, "Lapluie? Hasn't been here LOL" Which looked to me like they could be teammates and Sokoth needed Lapluie to show up. Now that Mac has replaced her and went crazy trying to get DrWilgy lynched last night, I think he may be on the scum team.

Interesting question that I had not considered. I would have him nominate someone else. I have a question for you, what are bikkies?
Bikkies = Australian slang for biscuits (specifically the kind one dunks in tea/coffee). Looks like that’s another one you’ll have to add to your list! :haha:

You should have $500. What are you looking for?

We just linked Wilgy to something Sokoth said that was a very similar offhanded comment so I think we should be cautious about giving a brief comment of his too much weight. However, there's something Mac did that surprised me... he just gave me a hug when I apologised for mislynching him. I expected him to be at least a little annoyed or have a crack at me. That's the only thing that's really bothered me so far though. I don't hold against anyone that they ended up on Wilgy.

Last thing, though, is that I still think TH is bad and I don't think I need to repeat my reasons particularly but, if I'm right about that, it might reflect on people who were voting TH and allowed the CFD business to cause their vote to ultimately shift from TH to Wilgy. I can't remember who they all are though, but Mac was one.

Should I buy anything to bolster my attack more? I was thinking:

Burgess' Hovering Badass Space Jeep - $450 - +2 Attack for as long as the player holds it

With this and my knife, I can add plus five to an attack mission if one comes up

I don’t expect to be here at the start of the day - am I able to bequeath my $$$ to someone else?

You are free to give your money or items to anyone you wish at any time. All it takes is a PM telling me what you want to do. As to what happens to money a player holds at the time of their death, we have to consult their Last Will and Testament for that.

Im torn between buying one of those $650 permanent boosts, or trying to nab a more practical item.

It seems there is only one of each item in the shop and someone already bought the alignment check.

Do you have enough for both? Sounds like a decent plan.

Glorf... do you need some extra money? I actually received kyles 200 after distributing money this phase, so I have that spare and I think it should go towards whatever we as a group think is the best use.

I think I will put marmot on the poll at this point. Quiet marmot always gets me nervous.
